House and view look even better than in photos. We had a slight hiccup when we first arrived and Deb went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.

Hi Nicky, thanks so much for your lovely review, and sincere apologies about the hiccup on your arrival - I'm so pleased Deb dealt with it so effectively and you were so gracious in your response!
We truly feel we are blessed with the BEST guests, and you are definitely right up there - thank you!! Best wishes, Antonia
Thanks for leaving a review Riaan and delighted you enjoyed the privacy and nature surrounding Allure. I've messaged you separately to see if there are any specific things we can do to push us up into a 5* rating and hoping there wasn't anything that detracted from your visit. Hope you had a great trip to KI.
A lovely isolated property truly embedded in the wilderness of Kangaroo Island. There is good wifi connectivity, the cooking is a little restricted bc of the reliance on solar power, so there's a gas stove but no oven. Otherwise all comforts of modern life are there. The payoff is a magnificent outlook onto the southern coast, and a wildlife-filled garden that was a bird-watcher's dream!

Thanks for leaving such a lovely review Kath, we are so pleased you enjoyed the bird spotting...we are lucky that so many come to visit. Pleased also that you felt you had all of your home comforts - we do try, despite being off-grid & reliant on solar and rain water.....some compromises need to be made, but like you, we feel the payoff is worth it. Hope we can welcome you back in the future.
Fantastic location, short walk to the beach which is amazing. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. Communication with the owner was excellent.

We loved hosting you again and are so pleased you got to enjoy the property and surrounds at a bit more of a relaxed pace this time. Thanks for the great review.
A gorgeous stay in a remote location. The views were incredible, and we were very comfortable in the house with two adults and two kids. We could easily get to different places on the island for adventures. We had three full days and followed this itinerary: one day we visited Seal Bay Conservation Area and Little Sahara; another day we explored Flinders Chase National Park; and on the final day we spent the morning at Pennington Bay and the afternoon enjoying the food of Kangaroo Island, including Emu Bay Lavender Farm, a honey farm, and Kangaroo Island Olives. Each night, we ended up cuddled together watching a family-friendly movie from the awesome DVD collection at Allure Beach, and the kids loved the book selection at the house. We had an amazing time and would love to go back!

Holly, thanks for leaving such a lovely review and giving such great tips for future guests. Sounds like a fantastic itinerary and delighted our DVD and book collection went down well with your kids. Hope you get to come back...the island will be here waiting for you :)
This property is idyllic, tucked away up a track with 50 acres of land. The house has beautiful views to the sea and a private track to an almost deserted beach. The deck round the property means there are places to sit in or out of the sun. We particularly enjoyed the water bowl which attracted lots of different birds and kangaroos and wallabies in the evening. I highly recommend.

Thanks for leaving such a lovely review. We are delighted you had such a great time soaking up the views and enjoying our local resident wildlife.
Excellent locationComfortable beds, well appointrd house and amenitiesUsed the outdoor shower the whole time we were here Great beaches and location to other servicesWould suggest an air con unit or portable cooling tower
Ideal private location between Penneshaw and Kingscote with an amazing surf beach (constant 1m waves, white sand and clear blue water) around 10 minutes' walk away (from door to water), and fantastic views, including from the bathroom. While we ate out for most meals, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the combustion heater keep everyone cozy over the cool nights. The property is well stocked with anything you could need.Highly recommend this location and will book again.

Many thanks for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We really enjoyed hosting you, and hope to see you again.
Tried somewhere different after staying at island beach a few times. Location is brilliant, beautiful bushland, wildlife and magnificent coastline. close to pennashaw, cygnet river and Kingscote for convenience, but may as well be in the middle of nowhere. Could not rate this stay highly enough. Will definitely try and come back.
