Millpond is a fabulous holiday rental. Communications with Eddie the owner are prompt and accurate. Apart from being a fabulous layout with spectacular beach view and view of ferry coming and going, it is set up with all that you need - including cooking staples (spices, olive oil, salt and pepper etc - all the important stuff that is annoying to pack and/or buy just for a few days (including gladwrap, alfoil etc). There was plenty of crockery, glassware and cutlery which was not old and unmatched (this shouldn't need to be a comment, but we had all stayed in other properties where this wasn't the case (oh and there's also plenty of cookware). However, because of the very convenient location you can choose not to cook because the house is close to the Penneshaw Pub and other cafes - so you can have a holiday away from the kitchen if you want. The beds are very comfortable, the furniture is comfortable and the house is well styled. An extra special feature is the slow combustion fire which we used every night, it was very easy to light and keep burning - and wood and kindling are provided. An absolutely fabulous property.

Dear Shaun, Thank you very much for your wonderful review of our holiday home and we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Millpond. We are so grateful for your support and understanding during the bushfire crisis at the Western end of Kangaroo Island and that you stayed to support the community of Kangaroo Island and notified us that you felt very safe in Millpond and still enjoyed the beach and the sights around Penneshaw and the Dudley Peninsular. Thank you again for choosing Millpond for your stay on Kangaroo Island and we hope to see you again in the future, Eddie and Rhonda Crouch.

Property was lovely with a great view.Good communication from host from booking right through.Kitchen & all other facilities well appointed. We did have to clean up ants in the dining area on 2 occasions (perhaps needs an ant treatment)Also the coffee machine was not cleaned before our visit & the 2nd bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable & dipped to the middle, we turned it around which did help a little.Otherwise, a lovely relaxing stay.Would recommend to future guests.KI is a lovely place, particularly the national park in the west.

Perfection in Penneshaw

Millpond is a perfectly appointed holiday home. It was an absolute delight to stay here and it will be the first place I look on my next trip to KI. All the little details are there - platters, spices, tools for seafood, puzzles/books for rainy days. The front verandah was a lovely place to relax, watch the dolphins, birds and see the wallabies :)

Holiday of memories with girlfriends

Loved this holiday experience with longtime girlfriends. The house was excellent. Loved the 2 full bathrooms as we had a girlfriend with a moon boot on and legally blind so was very easy for her to find her way around with easy access.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Millpond. The location is perfect and the view is breathtaking. It was so much better than I was anticipating. The house was presented beautifully, immaculately clean and had absolutely everything you could need whilst on holiday. Would highly recommend this house for a very relaxing stay on KI. Well equipped holiday home in a picturesque settin

Millpond is wonderfully situated - on a quiet road, with a front terrace overlooking Hog's Bay, and a short stroll to the shops of Penneshaw. The house has a large kitchen/living/dining space and 3 good sized bedrooms and is very well presented, and equipped with everything you would need to live, let alone holiday. The owners are helpful and very communicative. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here exploring the sights of Kangaroo Island.
