What a gorgeous wee spot, views are amazing, room was on point as was the soak in the bath! Easy drive to the town, super cute and the hosts were lovely, highly recommend 😊
Lovely wee spot which was new, modern and had lovely bathroom products as well as gorgeous bed linen, pillows and a comfy bed. The view was next level!
Absolutely fabulous weekend: immaculately clean, easy check in and out, stunning bathroom, quiet and private with lovely views. I didn’t realise it’s an apartment attached to the main house (my fault for not paying attention!) but only minimal noise heard from the house in the day. Loved it, and the area too, definitely would stay again!
This property is true to its listing. Everything was excellent and very enjoyable. Very clean and light. Cyclone Gabrielle hit during our stay with 40+ mph winds and lots of rain. We were without power for 18 hours, but Jo and Peter took good care of us, even cooking us a wonderful brunch one day on their gas stove. We enjoyed a fire and wine in the lovely courtyard and a quick walk to the beach over the dunes. Absolutely a memorable visit and we hopefully will be returning again sometime soon!
NEVER RESERVE THIS ACCOMMODATION. If I could give zero stars, I would do it. After driving two hours from Auckland, we learned that our accommodation was already occupied by other people. Despite the emails from Jo we received with confirmations , instructions on how to get there and etc the manager said she didn't know anything about our reservation made. 24 December, more than month before our trip, she proudly informed us by email that our rates will be even a bit less. No sympathy or attempt to help us. She ruined our planned two month ago very special weekend . We spent on gas and paid babysitter and ended up with indifference and whining about her problems.
I am disabled and had utmost difficulty climbing up the extra steep stairs (i was unaware there were stairs to the place)
Not only was there no wifi, no radio, no TV.
The place was a little unclean and no headboards or night tables in case it was required to cheer me up
There was no sink! And I have never filled a kettle at the bath tap before
I tried sitting outside to enjoy the view on the narrow balcony, but could not see over the wall while sitting. Standing I could see their roof with a tv ariel, clearly indicating reception was not the problem. I had to leave the property as so dissappointed i could not contain my u happiness.
To top it off, it should at least have the basics for that high price.
Can i please have a refund? I had to drive back home as could not afford alternate accommodation.
We had a lovely weekend exploring the beautiful Waipu/ Bream Bay Area. The studio was clean and comfortable, great service from hosts. Only trouble was that the bath plug did not seal so the water ran out while trying to bath! The studio is perfect as just a sleeping space, it is not self-catering so make sure you plan your meals out and about.
My partner and I came here for a mini babymoon and left feeling so relaxed! Jo was so accommodating and everything was very easy to organise with her.
The place itself was exactly what we wanted - so clean, warm, spacious and private. Short drive from the small town centre and local restaurant and the next day we went to the Mangawhai Tavern Market. Can’t speak highly enough about our stay! Thanks Jo!
We had a fantastic time in Waipu - the apartment was beautifully laid out and equipped with everything we needed. There was plenty to keep us busy and Jo and Pete were fantastic hosts - we would definitely stay here again!
Really nice accomodation - well decorated and located nicely between the cove and town. Host was great with communication. Once there is a sink and possibly hot plates installed this place will be perfect. Would definitely stay again.
Jo and Peter are great hosts, the stay in the studio was a perfect get out of Auckland getaway, lovely bed and loved the large bath, all surrounded by olive trees and a beautiful view to the ocean.
Really enjoyed our time here. Lovely place, beautiful views. Would definitely recommend this as a great place to relax and unwind, and we will definitely come back. Thanks Jo and Peter for a lovely stay.
