About this property

Charleston 1 BR loft Prime Location in heart of historic downtown 1 block away

Take a step back in time with a stay at The Lodge Alley Inn in the heart of old Charleston, the cultural capital of the South, where layers of history await your discovery. The resort is actually a collection of 18th century warehouses that have been lovingly restored to preserve their history while also providing guests with all the modern-day comforts and conveniences. Accommodations at the resort include a larger 1-bedroom loft for up to 4 guests.

This Charleston landmark reflects its rich European heritage with its original pine floors and red brick walls, thick Oriental carpets, period reproductions and intimate parlors with fireplaces. The Victorian-style suites blend old-world charm in the common living areas with a boutique accommodations experience.

The Lodge Alley Inn is conveniently located just steps from Charleston Harbor, the Market and Rainbow Row. Once the valet parks your car, let our concierge arrange a historic walking tour or a horse-drawn carriage to take you around town.

After sightseeing, return to the Inn for complimentary fresh-baked cookies and sherry. For a four-star meal and an extensive wine selection, dine at the neighboring High Cotton restaurant, a winner of Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence since 2003.

After dinner, take a leisurely stroll around the historic district or just unwind in the courtyard and chat by the fountain. Upon returning to your room, relax in the ambience of Charleston’s long history, ascend a spiral staircase to a cozy loft, or climb into a four-poster bed

Great condo!

My husband and I had a great weekend in Charleston staying at this lovely condo. The checkin wasn’t great - but Ashley did warn us about this so we were prepared. The location is phenomenal!

Long weekend in Charleston

Very strategically located apartment/condo with close proximity to great retail/restaurants, the harbor, market and beautiful Georgian architecture. My wife and I really enjoyed the convenience of some much within a few blocks. The property owner was quick and informative and set us up for a easy check in process. Our only concern during the stay was that the ceiling above transmits considerable noise and the people staying above (mostly young kids) were pretty ‘active’. We did have to ask the front desk to intercede one early morning which they did quickly. Other than that this place served our needs and was exceptionally clean and safe. We would stay again.

Cozy place in French quarter

What a find in the middle of the French quarter. A block from the market surrounded by great restaurants and Charleston charm. Our host Ashley was responsive to all questions. Bed was so cozy and we had everything we needed for a stay to visit my daughter at C of C. Will stay again.

Great Customer Service

We actually didn’t have the chance to stay because of a main water break, which was out of everyone’s control, but Ashley was super helpful with accommodating in a short time! It was PGA week and not many available options, but she pulled through! I would 10/10 recommend!
