We had a beautiful well equipped room and sitting area. We loved its proximity to everything we wanted to do and see in downtown Charleston. The staff was incredibly pleasant and helpful in booking tours for us and giving us restaurant recommendations. We were greeted so warmly every time we left and returned. The room was such a pleasant place to return to with a comfortable seating area ( and fireplace which we did not need to use!)
Delightful property. Faced the street so a bit noisy but quieted out about 10 or 11. All service was friendly and responsive. Didn’t find a pool but didn’t ask
We loved staying at Lodge Alley Inn! Room was perfect and the location is excellent for enjoying life in Charleston. Great experience and we will definitely stay here again.
The unit is now part of a hotel managed by Hilton Resorts. This happened one week before our arrival. The front desk, concierge, and valet were incrediably professional and accommodating. The host actually called us directly on our first day there to ask if everything was ok - a nice approach. The unit is ideally located in the French Quarter - walking distance to the attractions, wonderful restaurants, and even a full size grocery store. We loved our stay.

This is a special place. The location is exceptional and proximity to everything Charleston is amazing. The staff is responsive and friendly and every need is met. It is a beautiful place and would highly recommend it.
Even better than the photos! Beautiful furnishings and updated bathroom, overlooking a picturesque patio. The location was in close walking distance to everything. Would definitely stay again
This property was great! Beautiful historic building and a wonderful light filled corner suite. The space was clean and the king bed was super comfortable. Located in the French quarter of Charleston made everything very accessible and easily walkable.... Close to restaurants, rainbow row, the market, the waterfront, etc. Be aware that parking is scarce in Charleston and the fee for non-owner valet parking is 50 daily. I would definitely stay here again.
Perfect location. Property is clean and staff is friendly. Could walk everywhere and ubers were readily available for transport to airport and outlying trips to winery, plantation and tea garden. Would recommend.
Wrong dates were given to the property manager by the VRBO host. This particular Inn is operated by Hilton. The room we rented is a time share property. We paid for three nights, specifically for Tuesday until Friday morning. When we arrived on Tuesday, the Inn said that we were marked as a NO SHOW for Monday night. They were given the dates of Monday until Thursday morning. We were able to stay there on Tuesday and Wednesday, but had to vacate on Thursday. The host refused to take my phone call so I spoke with a VRBO manager. She claimed there was no wrong doing and there was nothing I could do. I then began texting with the host and he also said that he sent a confirmation email with the correct dates. I reiterated that the Inn was given the wrong dates and that I wanted to be reimbursed for the one night, since we were only able to stay for two nights. No compensation was given. I am proceeding with multiple avenues to report this wrong doing. Hopefully my credit card company will be able to get my money back.
The unit was beautiful and the location can’t be beat. Walkable to everything in the historic district! The staff was friendly and welcoming. After many visits to Charleston, this was our best stay. Hope to return soon.
