The place is amezing pictures don't do it justice. Check-in was smooth property manager was very helpful and reachable. The owner of the property was also amazing and helpful; they thought of everything, so your stay is nice and comfortable. You have to get yourself prepared for staying on the mountain, unpaved roads, and elevation.
We had the most fantastic stay at this property! Exactly as described and pictured. The owner was super proactive and helpful. Home was incredibly clean (and we are clean snobby) highly recommend!
Great Cabin nestled in the mountains! We enjoyed our stay! Beautiful cabin, fully furnished with everything we needed! The altitude did hit us that first night, but we adjusted and had a great time. We stayed in November after a couple of snowfalls, so our 4x4 was needed to reach the location.

Homeowner's Response: "Thank you, and glad you enjoyed your stay!"
Prime example of what an accurately described and high quality vacation property should be.
Absolutely what a CO vacation stay should be!! Nothing but praise. This property is definitely done right, makes an amazing family experience effortless.
BTW - Anyone complaining about roads or weather needs to do their research before they consider ANY CO mountain vacation
If you are looking for a Really Cool mountain home with a lot of room and great views, this is your place. FIRST, the amenities were great, with a nice kitchen, lots of TVs and good channels, internet was great, and a full clean laundry room.SECOND, there are three nice bedrooms. One standard sized bedroom with a full bathroom just outside the door. One master bedroom suite that was of ample size with its own full bathroom. And one entire ensuite bedroom with full bath, and entire sitting room with TV and Foosball.THIRD, This place is not new. Maybe 15 to 20 years old. But it looks Brand New, and was spotlessly clean. We were so impressed with the cleanliness and the care taken to keep the place up.FOUR and LASTLY, the Road to the home. There is a lot of talk about the road being bumpy and scary. Not So. BUT...If you go in the winter, Get a 4-Wheel Drive SUV. On the way up there are several switchbacks that are fairly easy to navigate, but don't be in a race. This actually makes the drive up quite beautiful.Spend a lot of time in Breckenridge. Great place to walk and eat and shop. Go to the Soup and Sandwich Restaurant next to the grocery store in Fairplay. You will not regret it! Then go to the General Store in Alma. Great Place to shop and a great history to be learned there of the town.We enjoyed ourselves very much and we wish to tell you that this is a real treasure!

Hello Timothy, thank you for the detailed review! We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay and the beautiful Mountain View’s . We appreciate your helpful tips on the winter road conditions and our amazing local spots. Thank you for choosing to stay with us, and we hope to welcome you back soon!
Everything about the cabin was great other than the distance from everything.. (which is why most people get a cabin) but he had a lot of activities in town over the week and were easily 1hr+ away from everything.

Mountain retreat
Cabin was great if not a bit far from the highway. We did not use the fireplace. It was plenty warm without it. There were only 3 teaspoons though plenty of everything else. This seemed a little odd. The stay was great. I caught trout in the river above Alma. Fairplay is a fun little town to visit.

From the owner: "Thank you for staying in our cabin and glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for letting us know about the teaspoons, we’ll get them replenished."
We loved this property and it was very well conditioned with all the necessary tools to enjoy a family vacation. Location is a bit far but we didn't mind the drive. My only issue was with the lady that manages the property. The owner was great and would recommend to speak directly with her as her manager was very rude to me when I asked a simple question. The owner however, was polite and answered right away. If you overlook that then everything else was great and would recommend the stay,

My Awesome Cabin Getaway - A Mix of Coziness and Adventure
Hey there!Just wanted to share my recent escapade at this super charming cabin – an absolute gem in the wilderness. Overall, it was an amazing experience that left me with some great memories.First off, let me tell you, this cabin is not just beautiful but also decked out with all the cool stuff you'd want. The interior was spot on – cozy vibes, cleanliness on point, and equipped with everything to make the stay super comfy. And oh, the view! It was like something out of a postcard, adding that extra touch of magic to the whole experience. Now, the small bumps on the road. So, the kitchen electricity decided to take a vacation for the last two days. It did throw a bit of a curveball into our meal plans, but honestly, with the cabin being so awesome, we didn't let it dampen our spirits too much. The beauty of the place made up for it.And speaking of roads, getting there can be a bit tricky, especially when snow decides to party. We found this alternative route that Waze didn't clue us in on, and it turned out to be a safer bet. Maybe it's something the future adventurers should know about to avoid any snow-related surprises. All in all, despite a few quirks, the cabin stole my heart. It's got my thumbs up, and I'd totally go back for another round of cabin-coziness and a bit of adventure. If they sort out the kitchen glitch and share that secret snow route with everyone, this place would be an absolute winner!

From the owner: "We appreciate you leaving such a thorough and thoughtful review and hope you visit us again soon! The issue in the kitchen has been resolved. Thanks for helping others know what to expect from our cabin!"
The home was very clean and kitchen was stocked. Loved the view the only thing I had an issue with was the altitude. Everyone adjusted well but it took me a couple days.
Great cabin in the mountains! Although, we didn't expect to see other cabins so close. The road going up was very bumpy, didn't bother us a bit! Aspens were beginning to change, so some great color coming in the next few weeks! Close to some super hikes. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
I loved my experience, we had a snag right in the beginning but the property manager helped us right away and we felt taken care of. Would most definitely stay here again, the vibes were immaculate.
Overall staying at the property was nice. The accommodations were great. Some cautions - it's at 11,100 feet so altitude sickness can be an issue. There are about five miles of gravel roads to get to the house. Our 2WD van worked fine in July but I wouldn't want to try it in snow. Don't plan on watching a lot of tv; wifi and cable bandwidths in the mountains are subpar. But I don't want to put you off. Overall, we had a great time. Saw some Elk, lots of stars in the sky without city lights to obscure them, very nice place. Comfortable.
