Loon Watch Vacation Home is a beautiful 4 bedroom, 2 full bathroom year-round vacation home on Lost Lake. Our home features all the personal touches to give you that relaxing, up-north getaway feel while boasting all the modern amenities you seek while at your home away from home.

Conveniently positioned just steps away from the 544-acre sandy-bottomed lake and the snowmobile trail, this place offers everything you may be looking for any time of the year!

Our home features a fieldstone gas fireplace, knotty pine walls, central air, tiled bathrooms, an open concept first floor with stunning views of the lake from nearly every angle, lakeside fire pit, grill, picnic table, pier, paddleboat, row boat, board and outdoor games, Samsung Smart TV with internet TV, access to streaming services, and high-speed internet.

The main floor has a bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom, along with a kitchen, dining area, and living room. The second floor has 2 rooms with a queen and twin bed in each room, which are adjoined by a full Jack and Jill bath. Also on the second floor is the 3rd bedroom, which has 2 twin beds. Upstairs loft includes a comfortable full-size futon. All rooms are furnished with classic Northwoods decor to complete your up-north experience.

Whether you are looking for a place to fish, swim, snowmobile, or simply sit back and listen to the beautiful call of the loons, a stay in our home will make your vacation one to remember!

Plenty of space for the group. Only complaint was pillows were a bit lumpy, otherwise property was in great condition.

Loon Watch-Aug 12-21-2023

Hillers are great to work with! Home was well maintained, lake was great too. The owners should be specific about the location, being in such close proximity to a bar (literally 100 ft away from back door and the bar's access area to lake as it was commonly well used with picnic tables, umbrellas, etc. It was very busy on a number of occassions during our stay so quiet and privacy are sacrificed. Overall, its a very nice place if one doesn't mind the commotion and noise.

It is across from a bar with a big parking lot but owner is not willing allow you to park their . Sadly we were unaware of this parking issue before we arrived and struggled to address this issue .

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was perfect. Very clean, well stocked. Amazing sunrises, not too many clear nights so hard to star gaze. Lake was great for our kayaks and used the available paddleboat. Caught some small panfish from the dock. Saw/heard the local loon often. Beds were comfortable, nice reading materials were there including local history. It is quite close/directly across from the Murmuring Waters lodge, the lodges lakefront is directly next door. Generally not too disruptive, they close at 11pm and are closed on wednesdays.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This vacation home needs some TLC. The door facing the water does not lock very well and the screen door is broken. The downstairs carpeting needs to be cleaned. They need to provide newer pots, pans and silverware along with a new coffee maker. We liked the house being on the water so we could keep our boat docked. One thing they don't really tell you is that there is a bar located on the other side of the road. When we questioned Hiller Vacation Homes they said it is a quiet bar that serves food and is closed by 11. The bar is actually quite busy and doesn't close by 11. We were mostly on the lake side of the house so the noise is blocked by the house.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Loon watch cabin was comfortable and well equipped. The place was spacious enough for our family and the boat rental was good although when you opened up the motor you had water coming in off the back bow. No washer or dryer was disappointing but there are places in town for that. The lake had a bit of an algae bloom which was disappointing but did not stop my kids from going in. The bar across the street was an issue on 2 nights with music and drunken loud patrons. We had a bathroom door lock issue and the Hillers were there within 20 minutes to start repairs and had it fixed by the time we returned from a hike. (This is why we rent with the Hillers). Had a good time but would not rent again due to the bar.

Beautiful View

Enjoyed watching the sunrise each morning from the dock! Large property with a lot of space inside and out for the whole family. Cabin was very clean and spacious. Kitchen was especially equipped, plus plenty of board games available for use in the cabin.

Wonderful Getaway

This property is just what we were looking for! Perfect outdoor area and shallow lake was nice with little kids with. Kitchen was perfectly stocked with essentials plus more and the games available to play was a great bonus! Highly recommend this property! Bar was across the driveway but we did not hear any noise from the location.

Lake review

Very nice, well kept property. Nice shallow lake for kids to play in. Fishing off pier a great hit with many little fish to catch and release. Recommend for families .

We loved it

The property is great. We were there for New Years celebration 9 adults total. Had more than enough beds, table big enough to sit and have our meals together or play games. The one down side we found is there is no dishwasher. I don’t know if it’s planed to put one in. Just a thought. It would be helpful especially with large group of people. Also, the knives in the kitchen are dull. We had our own. Overall, amazing stay. Would love to visit in summer.
