1st time to michigan

My wife and i took four nights for our 1st trip to Michigan. We wanted to visit Traverse city and Torch lake. We stayed at Ellis Lake Resort and had a great trip. We stayed at the Spruce cabin, which had everything we needed. each cabin has their own parking, picnic table, charcoal grill and firepit.In addition to visiting the surrounding area, which includes some fabulous places like dunes and lake Michigan beaches and more, we also fished Ellis Lake and caught fish both times, while using the canoes provided by the resort.The hot tub was out of service, which was our only drawback, but overall, we had a great trip at Ellis Lake Resort. Needs some work!!

The very small floor unit they stated was air.....not at all. It was unbearable hot inside!! Has a ceiling fan and old floor fan going. No help !! Needs at least a couple window air conditioning. The coffee pot takes 45 min to brew......no vent in bathroon...bad!! Whole place smelled musty . And 2 rolls of toilet paper between 5 people from friday to Monday depart!! Never recommend /over priced for it!!!

Our Spruce log cabin is a 600 square foot cabin which is one of our larger cabins. We have many families who enjoy this cabin and many who return year after year. I am sorry the 5 of you ladies felt it was smaller than you needed. All of our units have portable air conditioning. A couple of you stopped in our office Saturday morning to ask about air conditioning as it was warm in the cabin. We went in and discovered that the tray needed to be emptied from the water it accumulated and was then set to 65 degrees to cool the cabin for your return. It was checked again before you arrived back and was working great. We do have ventilation in the bathroom which is a window. It can be opened and still have privacy. If there was an issue with the coffee pot or you needed something, why didn’t you connect with me either through Vrbo or at our office. We would have been more than happy to help you with your needs. It is difficult to help with ones needs if it is not communicated with the Host.

Family vacation in Michigan

We stayed at this location for easy access to Traverse City. This place met all of our needs and it was a nice, rustic way to enjoy Michigan. We are grateful for the recommendations from the staff in the office which we spoke with daily. Overall, it was a nice stay!

Perfect!

We absolutely loved our stay in Becky's cabin...so cute and quaint and only a short distance to Interlochen for our daughter's graduation. They even made us a delicious poke cake for our arrival and fresh flowers! Thanks so much for a great weekend trip!
