About this property

Beautiful lakefront cottage, 1 hour north of Montreal

1 acre waterfront property, with large deck and private dock on a beautiful non-motorized lake.
60 minutes from downtown Montreal, 15 minutes from Lachute, 30 minutes from skiing in Morin Heights and St. Sauveur. Two bedrooms plus a den and a separate guest house each with a double hide-a-bed. Sleeps 8 comfortably. 2 full bathrooms (one of which is not available in the winter).

Main house: 3 bedrooms, large living room with fireplace, sun room, completely renovated kitchen with 6 appliances, luxurious bathroom with glassed in shower. Beautifully furnished.

Guest house: 1 large room with hide-a-bed and with second full bathroom accessible except in the winter.

Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please put used sheets and towels in a pile in the kitchen so that the cleaning lady knows what needs to be washed. Please wash any pots and pans that you use, and put all dishes in the dishwasher.
If you moved any furniture, please put it back to the way it was when you arrived. Turn down the heating and/or turn off the AC. Please make sure you close the windows and lock all of the doors.
The cleaning lady comes at 11 a.m.

Our host, David, was an attentive and responsive person. Easy to get a hold of, and fixed issues promptly and was flexible with us when a family emergency supervened. The dog-friendly property was a comfortable place to relax with everything you need (even highchair and playpen if you have children). The lake was small, but pristine and quiet with no motor boats. We used the small guest house for our visiting grandchildren. BBQ could be upgraded a bit. Overall, a great place for us to spend a month in summer.

Beautiful place!

What a beautiful little corner of paradise! My family and I had a very memorable stay at this wonderful cottage. Kitchen was very well equipped and fun to cook in, great shower, and best of all — the private dock by the lake. Thank you very much for having us!

Quiet, comfortable lakeside retreat.

This cottage is right beside the lake. Five of us stayed very comfortable during a very snowy February weekend. We hope to rent again in the summer and enjoy the water. Although it is close to the road it is very quiet, we didn't hear any cars, just the snowplow once. Beds are very comfortable and sheets were high quality. We slept extremely well. The bathroom is large and modern. Plenty of hot water for all 5 of us to shower in the morning, very good water pressure. The kitchen is fully equipped, I cooked from scratch. A bottle of wine was left for us and the house was warm and ready upon our arrival. Driveway and walk were freshly plowed. The owner was in contact with us with helpful information and he answered questions promptly. There are many big windows. Eating by the lake, we felt close to nature and enjoyed the privacy and quiet. Plenty of firewood available and a beautiful fireplace in the vast, cozy living room. We were surprised how large the cottage was. Games, movies, books available. We loved our stay.

lack of beds

we were 7 adult on the cottage for 2 nights.It was good and peaceful environment,but we had really problem with sleeping times because there were not enough beds and we were not satisfied at all.There were not comfortable beds at all and one bunk beds as well which was so small and I personally I am dying soon because it was tight and scarry, and we had to change our sleeping time with each other to use bed because some of us slept on the sofa and it was not fair because we paid alot for being relax not sleep on the sofa.Although there was a guest room with one sofa bed,we found it was not good at all as well.Therefore;I am recommended this place with that beds only for max 3 people not even for 4 or more. If I wear owner , definitely I made decision to change beds with bigger size or comfortable one.The rest was good and I think this cottage will be good for summer.

Great weekend getaway

Needed a place to get out of town briefly. Great aspect of this place was that they welcomed our dog. Access to the (frozen) lake was very valuable in this respect. The cottage was a perfect size for the 4+1 of us and well equipped. One detail is to make sure to bring a few logs along to help get the house warmed up if you're arriving on a (very) cold day. Would happily return

Fun cozy cottage

Great quiet spot for a winter weekend away. The place was very warm despite the very cold weather. Loved the wood stove. Lots of room for 4 people (and a dog) and comfortable beds. Fun game options and many movies to check out. Dave was quick and easy to communicate with. The lake was fun to snowshoe around on. I'll be back in the summer!

Nice lakeside retreat

This big cottage is right beside a very beautiful and quiet lake. The bathroom is big and modern. There was plenty of : place, water to drink and shower, parking places, firewood for the fireplace, cooking dishes and utensils, bed sheets, towels, chairs, beds, etc., for us (8 persons). We had no problem with the WIFI. We had no problem with the check in and check out with no person-to-person contact. The owner was really nice and answered our questions promptly. We had a good time there (we used the cottage and the guesthouse). We would have appreciated a much better mattress in the den and a better cleaning in the guesthouse at our arrival.

Our names are David and Claire, and we are avid nature lovers. We live nearby, and walk our 2 dogs in the woods every day. David works in Montreal a couple of days a week, and Claire is a full-time abstract artist (her artwork hangs in the Dunany Lakefront Cottage).

Why they chose this property

We take great pride in maintaining our property: we recently renovated the bathroom and the kitchen, so that guests can be as comfortable as possible, all the while enjoying great lake views in our 4-season house. There are 2 bedrooms and 3rd room has a fold-out futon bed. The guest house has a full bathroom as well as a double pull-out bed.

What makes this property unique

- Only 1 km from Dunany Country Club (golf!).
- Private dock on non-motorized lake.

- Only 15 minutes from shopping, restaurants, etc.
