Family beach vacation

We had a great week in Corolla. House was comfortable and the pool was enjoyable.

We arrived to housekeeping still cleaning after the check in time. They informed us of an active leak in the middle of our living room ceiling. The rental company, Brindley Beach Realty, sent maintenance, but due to the extensive leaking and damage to the ceiling, they needed to call HVAC. Since the house was not properly renovated, the condensation from the AC had saturated the ceiling and was breaking through. The HVAC guy broke a hole in the ceiling and put up 2x4 pieces of wood in hopes the ceiling would not continue to fall down. There were obvious signs of mold in the ceiling. We were given a 5 gallon bucket and told good luck. Throughout our stay, it was our job to monitor the leak and the ceiling. We were not able to enjoy the living room space due to concerns of air quality from the mold. It was difficult to use the outdoor space since there was barely any furniture on the decks. When we called Brindley Beach Realty to talk to a property manager, they were unhelpful, uninformed and unprofessional. They did not follow up at all during our stay or after to inquire about the leak. They were supposed to call me after our stay to discuss a possible partial reimbursement of what we paid for the house due to the inconvenience of the leak and not being able to fully relax on our family vacation. I am still waiting for the call after 2 weeks since our stay. I will never use Brindley Beach Realty ever again and will make sure I tell everyone I know not to use them either.

Perfect place for our family. Clean, close to the beach and close to shops and restaurants. Nice pool, clean grill, comfortable beds. Had everything we needed. Would definitely come back here.

Everything was good except for delay in getting into property with cleaning crew being late.

We were made aware of time delay with cleaning crew. Everything worked out fine. We had a great time.
