We had a wonderful time at Hubbard's Hacienda. The home was beautiful, clean, spacious and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The hosts were super responsive and kind. We cannot wait to go back!
The Hacienda was beautiful and housed the 7 of us in my family very comfortably. We had a nice fire in the fire pit and even walking in the neighborhood was beautiful.
Great place to relax and explore saguaro national Park
A very comfortable, well appointed place. It was close to East side saguaro national Park and colossal cave mountain Park. We enjoyed the outside fire pit for s'mores and the quiet of the neighborhood.
Everything went smooth from check in to check out. William was very accommodating. The Hacienda was beautiful and nice stocked to accommodate our needs. Thanks Pa and Ma Hubbard.
Very spacious, comfortable, places to walk around and look for Wildlife. Beautiful tiling. Very southwest feel.

Super relaxing! Felt at home right away!
We stayed for a week this past month and couldn't be happier. The place felt like we were home from the first moment, and we had room to have our local Tucson family over to "our" house! Convenient, plenty of room to relax, swimming and grilling made it a great vacation! I even kept up on my yoga in the meditation room! Highly recommend this place and hope to stay there again!

Thanks Jeannie! You are always welcome at the Hacienda!!!
The house was perfect for four guys on a golf outing. Each got their own bedroom. Spacious sitting areas for down time. Well stocked kitchen. Beds comfy. Since it was Nov, the pool was not swimable because of cold nights. However, it would have been nice to use the outdoor spaces. Everything outside was dusty, dirty and unwelcoming. Nice bar, but stools too dirty to sit on.
Needed a little attention and TLC. I do plan on going back.
The property was nice for the price we paid. There was no one staying in the smaller house on the property until the day we were checking out, so make sure you're aware of that if you are only renting the main house. The owner made sure we knew about this before booking. The shared space is literally outside the doors of the main house, so communication between 2 parties may be necessary if you're both staying on the property to share the spaces. The master bedroom and bathroom stayed quite warm (even with air on) but the rest of the house was a good temperature once we turned on the air.
Great location for driving to Sabino Canyon, Mt Lemmon, the Catalina mountains, and Rincons/ Saguaro East. And not too far to midtown/UA, downtown, Gates Pass/I-10. Good restaurants and stores nearby. Nice enough run/walk in the neighborhood. Good sunset and sunrise views from the yard.
This was a good place to bring three generations together for a family vacation. There are three separate wings of bedrooms, with two doors between the kitchen and back bedroom. (Pantry and laundry area between them.) Accessible shower with stool in the main bedroom was great for the old folks.
A bit on the older side, but I loved the Old Tucson flavor, having lived and worked there in the 1990s. Clean and well equipped. Attentive owner and no hassles. Too cold to use the pool in early January, but it was bigger than I expected and would likely be very nice. Lots of outdoor room to spread out between the pool, hammock, and grill / porch areas.

Fantastic experience at "Hubbards Hacienda"!
We immediately fell in love with the pictures of the home and the grounds with all the various decorations and cozy settings. We were even more impressed once we arrived and walked in. The home was decorated beautifully and felt warm and inviting immediately. There were so many small touches inside and out which made every little spot pleasant to look at and enjoy.
It was easy to see that this home and the yard was decorated with love and caring and was so comfortable for our family. We were in Tucson for my daughters wedding and had occasion to have a some guests over prior to the wedding. They all loved the home and were impressed with how roomy it was and how beautifully it was decorated.
I spent lots of time poolside and on the porch outside the kitchen enjoying the peace and quiet, watching the Dove, Quail and Finch enjoying the bird feeders.
I can't say enough about how happy we were with the accomodations and how nice and easy the Hubbards were to work with before and during our stay. If the occasion arises again for me to need a place to stay in Tucson this home will be at the top of my list!

Thanks Pete,
We love it when our guests enjoy our Hacienda! We love it even more when we can host for a special occasion...it makes it all the more enjoyable. Thanks you for such a nice review...we welcome you always to the Hacienda.
This was a great place to stay for the holidays with extended family. We used both properties and loved the uniqueness of the property. It was also clean without feeling overly sterile or stiff. Mr. Hubbard was very prompt any time we had an inquiry (such as what type of bush was in the front yard that my daughter ate a berry from) There was plenty of wildlife around which my son loved. We got to talk about the different animal sounds we heard especially after dark and he saw a coyote. The house rules were not overly nitpicky or particular (last year we stayed at a house with 7 pages of dont's listed). So this made checkout very easy. It would have been nice if there was some type of safety lock on the back door as the pool is between the back door and the casita so my husband ended up sleeping on the couch by it, to make sure our 6 year old didn't try to sneak over to the casita at night to see his aunt and cousin were using the casita. But the listing is up front about there being no security features around the pool.
We stayed at this property for 5 weeks.
The house was very well supplied and would accommodate large groups if needed. The pool was excellent and the water temperature was fine, even though it was not heated. The property had party lights at night and a wall surrounding the perimeter to keep it secluded and private. The owner was attentive and available throughout the stay. All appliances and systems were in good repair and we had no complaints about anything. This property is located on the east side of Tucson and is in a good location for all golf courses and restaurants. If you rent this property, you will have no problems and will be pleased regardless of the size of your group.
This property was just what our group of four golfers from the midwest wanted. The house was very clean and roomier than we needed. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood. We ate dinner every night at the house, cooking there many times. The kitchen has a gas range which we appreciated and is very well stocked with implements and spices and herbs. Since we played two rounds of golf every day, we didn’t get to use the many amenities that the property has to offer. The house, which would be great for families, worked as expected except for the washing machine, which we had trouble starting. This was absolutely our fault, we simply weren’t pressing the start button long enough. When we notified William of the problem he addressed it very quickly. All of my pre-trip interaction with William were very cordial. If we have the opportunity to return to this house we would not hesitate to do so.
We had a great Christmas in this rental! Close to grocery store etc. Plenty of room for all 6 of us and large dining table that can fit a good number of people. We will definitely try and rent this place again when we are visiting our parents in Tucson. Nice back patio and it has a guest house that can also be rented if you have alot of people.
Great location for Sabino Canyon hikes and drive up to Mt Lemon. Outdoor entertainment area wonderful, lots of open indoor spaces to hang out. Pick up a large variety of great tamales at the Tucson Tamale Factory about 5 miles from house. ElCharo in downtown remains a fabulous Mexican restaurant. We spent a day on the west side at the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum to learn everything about desert plants , animals, rocks and minerals and my favorite the hummingbird enclosure where you are inside with the hummingbirds
This property is beautiful, really feels like the Southwest, and feels like home the minute you walk in. Very peaceful area and lovely surroundings.

Perfect accommodations
Our family stayed in both the main house and the guest house. We found the whole place to be wonderfully inviting and conducive to all sorts of activities and conversations throughout the week. We also loved the location. We were close enough to the wilderness to do several great hikes yet close enough to civilization to sustain our human needs.
Absolutely loved it!

My wife and I live in Camarillo, California after living in Tucson and Hawaii. After a career in school guidance counseling and teaching, we continued our pursuit of acting, writing and producing here in California. We also run a comedy improv troupe, Free Range Comedy and enjoy the beach as much as we can. We hope our properties will bring you peace and relaxation and a sense of calm in your life. Please enjoy your stay and have safe travels.
This home is a labor of love and we wish we could move it to the beach!!
This is our home and we love it! Please enjoy the home during your stay but remember it is our home too. If you break something, let us know. If something needs our attention, let us know. And remember to leave the home in the same way you found it. If you move furniture, please put it back the way you found it. Enjoy our home as if it were yours. Thanks!!
Why they chose this property
This was the perfect property for us when we purchased it in 2000. It is on a little over an acre of land, and was just big enough to accommodate our 2 donkeys, 3 dogs and 2 cats. It is just outside the city limits...literally! The animals are now with us in California…well not the donkeys…they are living on a wonderful ranch north of Tucson. We have a wide variety of wildlife here, and our guests like the seclusion and peacefulness that surrounds them. We didn't know how to market the property, but Vicki came up with The Bed and Burro. We had 2 donkeys and at the time I don't believe there was another rental that has pet donkeys on the property!! Quill, is our rescue donkey from Nevada and Jasper is our newest. They no longer are on the property...they live on a beautiful ranch near Aravaipa Canyon, but there memory is still present.
What makes this property unique
Your stay here will be peaceful and relaxing. Your Hacienda comes fully equipped with a full kitchen, laundry facilities, linens and towels. You have your own carport and parking area and the benefits of the entire grounds to rest and relax. You might be lucky enough to see some of the wildlife here including many bird species, javelina, bobcats, coyotes, and lots of rabbits! We are very close to outdoor activities including the Saguaro National Monument East, Mt. Lemmon and Sabino Canyon. Many guests use this as a base for day trips to Tombstone, Karchner Caverns and Mexico.
