We really enjoyed our stay at this vacation home during our trip to Colorado! The house was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the kitchen basics we needed, which made cooking and relaxing easy and convenient. The surrounding area was peaceful and scenic, with a nice small walking trail nearby that we took full advantage of.The outdoor patio and fire pit were a great bonus—perfect for winding down in the evenings. Overall, a great stay and we’d definitely come back!
It was very clean and easy access to restaurants and quiet neighborhood. Would definitely recommend. Great communication with hosts as well. Loved our stay and would come back and stay again.
Our stay was great. It was a nice little house perfect for my 18 year old daughter and myself. It is an older home, so it’s not perfect. However the updates made to the home helped make us have a comfortable stay. Everything worked properly. We had no issues.
We really enjoyed our stay at this vacation rental during our trip to Colorado. The home was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the basic kitchen essentials we needed. The surrounding area was peaceful and featured a charming little walking trail that we loved exploring. One suggestion would be to consider adding some landscaping in the backyard to improve the view of the mountains from the outdoor patio and fire pit area. It would make the already relaxing space even more enjoyable.Overall, a great place to stay—we’d definitely consider coming back!
House was very clean but I rented it because it showed recliners in it and we needed a recliner for my family member. The house needs the foundation repaired it's sinking on one side and it's cracking so you get a fun house effect when walking through and if you have slick socks you can easily slip. The cleaning fee should be less because you do most of the cleaning up before you checkout. Beds were comfortable and nice TV. Needs a can opener that works and baking sheets.
Suggestion: in order to properly do the dishes there needs to be at least 3 dish towels. Also there should be a new wrapped sponge. As sponges can hold on to bacteria.

From the Owner: "We have spoken to the cleaners about this — they are supposed to provide a fresh sponge for every stay. We’ve also asked them to leave two dish towels. Thank you for the feedback!"
The house was clean and cute. Liked the back patio area. Super close to all locations we went to. Honestly the only bad thing was the people who stayed there before us must have kept leftover fish in the fridge and it stunk the whole time we were there.
Parents weekend at Air Force Academy where our son could rest and relax. Did a lot of walking the neighborhood and found a really cool neighborhood restaurant with fantastic menu. Close to everything and owner was helpful when needed. We’ll be back!

the house was super cozy and the area was very quiet. Great place to relax. Lauren responded to any of my emails/text super fast. There were a few goodies there for me when i got there. Pretty close proximity to most things in CO; so made it easy to get around. Definitely going to try to stay there again when i go back to CO. Thanks Lauren!!!

Hi Terry, we truly appreciate you sharing your thoughts about your recent stay. Your feedback is essential to us, and we've relayed your comments to the homeowner, who would like to address the following:-The coffee pot was left unplugged for safety reasons, a common practice in many hotels. It simply needed to be plugged in for use.-It appears that a pet was brought into the property during your stay. Please note that we have a strict no-pets to ensure the comfort and safety of all guests. This required us to perform a hypoallergenic cleaning of the property. Our commitment to providing an exceptional stay remains steadfast, and we eagerly anticipate hosting many more satisfied guests.
We loved the house. Enough room for our family and clean. We could walk out the front door and see Pikes Peak. Very quiet neighborhood. Our kids quickly made friends with the neighbors as well. Our contact was quick to respond. Would highly recommend.
Would stay here again. Front room had fold out couch rather than 2 chairs pictured which actually was perfect for us. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bathrooms were nice and everything had been remodled. Looked nice inside. Outside could use a little up keep. Gas grill did not light. Charcoal grill was available but we didn't use. There was a small park nearby with a walk/bike trail which we loved. Good value. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The pictures on VRBO must have been very old. The brightness of the the place was definitely misrepresented. The upkeep of the exterior was very poor. The house also has a smell of mildew. Also in the master bath there were so many gnats. The only reason I give it above a one star is because we did have all the amenities. And the people that I dealt were amazing. Also the house felt as if it were sliding off the foundations. I literally slept with my head towards the foot of the bed so my head wasn’t facing a downward slope. The door to the guest bathroom and the door to the main bedroom don’t close to to this. I would recommend that people think twice about this property.

We’re sorry to hear your stay wasn’t what you hoped for. The home is from the 1800s, so it does come with some quirks, but we’ll be looking into the concerns you mentioned to see where improvements can be made. We’ll also follow up with our pest service about the gnats and keep an eye on the property’s upkeep. We’re glad you enjoyed the amenities and our team, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us do better for future guests.

Hi Ed, we’re sorry your stay fell short of expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We use professional photography for the home, so the features you see on the listing are accurately advertised. We do not advertise having these amenities but would have been happy to provide you with what we could have, had you reached out during your stay.
- We do have metal garden stays that are in the ground but nothing is sharp or protruding. We're very sorry to hear of the damaged tire and wish you would have let us know during your trip as we would have been happy to assist.
We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Not what we expected
I know this is a new listing as a rental but it wasn't quite as the details described it. It says there is AC but only one window unit in the living area and one unit in the master bedroom (that only blew warm air) and no AC in the extra bedroom (which got very hot).
The master bathroom doesn't have a fan and adds to the heat of the room.
It is in a bit of a sketchy feeling neighborhood and we saw some sketchy people.hanging out outside. Not the best for having little kids around.
The backyard and lights were nice in the evenings!
The kitchen was missing some cleaning supplies and after some miscommunication/delays, the owners brought it by on our second day, which was good.
Not a very stocked kitchen in terms of cooking supplies.
There is no dishwasher.

Hi Melanie, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: We are sorry to hear that you did not have the five-star experience we endeavor to provide our guests.
- It saddens us to hear that you weren't pleased with the neighborhood as it's near a church and a family of four next door
- Comfort for our guests is important and we have placed fans in each room to assist with the air-conditioning when the house has several guests
- We wish you had reached out to the Guest Contact during your stay if there were any issues you needed to be addressed. We would have done everything we could to resolve them immediately but were not given the opportunity as we didn't receive any communications
- To ensure transparency, we have verified that the listing accurately advertises the amenities and a dishwasher isn't listed
Thank you for sharing about your stay. We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays.
The neighborhood was very quiet, the AC worked well (a must!) & the home felt clean & comfortable.
The home itself is old & went through a DIY renovation so there's a few quirks. I would consider staying here again but I do want to share a few of challenges we had.
- Don't expect any floors in the region to be perfectly level but the floors here, especially in the living room, were exceptionally uneven. I would NOT recommend this home for anyone with mobility/balance issues for safety reasons.
- Decorative throw pillows on the bed that looked as though they could not be laundered between guests.
- The master bathroom closet let in a half dozen moths every night. It's bug season so they'd wander in every time we switched the light on but that's a lot of moths.
- The TV with no cable, so we had our streaming services, but no access to local news.
- Seems like a local culture to keep some essentials in the fridge & pantry (how kind), but discovering open condiments from previous guests (specifically mayonnaise) has us grossed out & concerned about allergen exposures. Salt & Pepper? Awesome! So grateful. Open container you'd dip a utensil into? Hard pass.
For future stays, we would've appreciated:
No open foods & a fresh sponge for dishes.
Written instructions in the home for things like garbage collection, check-out, local recommendations, etc.
Lamps in both bedrooms & nightlights in bathrooms.
A designated place for boots & coats near the door.
Still enjoyed our stay!
We needed a simple 2 bedroom 2 bath with a kitchen for our family trip. This was perfect for our trip.

Nice place overall
We were happy with this house for the price. The house is very old and the neighborhood isn’t the greatest, and the driveway has some red dirt that tends to get muddy when it rains. Also (minor inconvenience but worth noting) there was only instant coffee despite there being a drip coffee pot. But it was overall well maintained, clean, and was a good value. The location is close to downtown and easy access to I-25.
