Be sure to explore local wineries and breweries and enjoy the community pool and tennis court. It's the perfect getaway house for couple/families or anyone looking for a serene weekend.

This property was super pet friendly, and since we were only traveling with our nine month old puppy for the second time, it was a really nice day. There was a lot of space for our family of five, and the beds were super comfortable. The host was super communicative, which I very much appreciated. Beautiful view.

We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous house. It was the perfect size for us and our two boys, ages 16 and 12. Each boy had his own room, and we had a master with an en suite. The house itself is a fantastic design, with an incredible view of the water and a wide open modern feel. We visited during a hot August week, and the ceiling fans and AC were flawless. We spent our days reading on the dock, or playing on the beach, or enjoying the water. We absolutely loved the community pool, which is incredibly large and immaculately clean. The town of Montross was great too-- favorites included Stan's Skateland (rollerskating!!) and Fisher's. A perfect summer rental, and we would love to visit again in the future!

We had a delightful stay at this a little house on the river. It's hard to say where we liked hanging out the most - on the dock, on the large screened in porch or on the little stretch of sandy beach. The views of the water were wonderful from the house. We enjoyed being able to bring our two dogs. The owners were very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Great house on the water

We rented this house for Thanksgiving. It was perfect for our family. The location was great and the house amenities had everything we needed for a cozy Thanksgiving getaway only 2 hours from home.

The Glebe

This property is excellent. Very peaceful!! We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back. The porch was awesome, the views were fantastic and the beach/dock were great! We have rented a lot of places and this one was one of the best for cleanliness, kitchen was well stocked and they even provided trash bags, linens, dish detergent, laundry detergent and the list goes on.

Remote relaxation successful

Another fantastic relaxing vacation in a beautiful remote location. The house, view, dock, neighborhood were all wonderful. Quiet, stunning sunrises (my favorite time of day), on the water - didn’t care that it was cold - we did have 2 days in the 60’s!! Fire pit nights & watching a storm roll in across the water on NYE was awesome!! We’ll definitely be back!! Our dogs had a blast as well!

2nd time here was as good as the first

We had another wonderful time at the lake house. The sunrises are spectacular and the perfect way to start a relaxing day. We played cornhole for the first time and had a blast. Next time we're trying the paddle boards.I took a lot of prep time planning out our meals so we didn't need to leave the property to get food.

Great Views, Great Beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This house has a fantastic beach, with a unique sense of privacy. The sunrises were amazing too! Communication with our host was great, house was well-maintained and has a wonderful view of the river from the screened-in porch or living room.

Loved it! Beautiful surroundings with endless water sports and wildlife. Crabs and Fish galore! The perfect place to get away and decompress with a cup of coffee and warm morning sunrises to conquer your days on the Rivah. I didn’t get my door code at check in time due to a mix up of VRBO vs Competition! Be sure to notify owner which one you booked through before arriving. Otherwise, family had a peaceful memorable vacation and we plan on coming back in the future if we can get a week or two.
