Danville Brassband Festival

We came in for the Brassband Festival and stayed at the cozy property. In the mornings it was serene and comfortable over looking the lake. The road in and out was a little stressful due to the narrowness of it, but we would stay here again when we come back to the area.

Perfect Getaway

We loved this house and area. Shira was a great host. If we are in a fishing tournament again next year we plan on staying there again. Hearing the karaoke at the marina last night from our back porch was an added entertaining bonus….

This was an awesome place for our family. We were able to cook and enjoy family time. All of the space is usable and relaxing. It's about a 25 minute drive into Centre College. It was a great place to come for graduation.It was very clean with no strong fragrances-a huge plus!

Beautiful view, adorable house, very comfortable. Very clean! We grilled out and cooked in. Kitchen has everything. The deck is amazing. Walk to marina which has karaoke, bands, restaurant with comfort foods and ice cream! Great getaway!!

Awesome Deck

They thought about all the details. Had lots of little extra thoughtful items. The decorations were adorable. The deck was awesome, big and lots of seating available. The surrounding trees around the deck gave kind of a canopy but you could still see the lake. They also had a very cool fire pit table on the deck. We would definitely stay here again. Very beautiful and cool place. It was also clean. We had no issues with our stay but if we would have the property manager was in constant contact and available.

Very pleasant stay,

This was a lovely home overlooking a lake. It was cute and comfy. One guest stayed in the loft over the second bedroom. The stairway up is steep, so it is a good idea that a fit person be the one to use this space. Also, be aware that the full bathroom is attached to the Master, so the timing of showers for others needs to be planned. We enjoyed the deck and the sunporch very much!

Beautiful View!

The house is very nice and clean. Decorated adorable! The HUGE deck where we spent a lot of time has a beautiful view of the lake. The dock within walking distance has boat launch, karaoke at night and a restaurant with decent food, we had burgers, onion rings and ice cream. The hill is steep to walk back up. Highly recommend! Very relaxing.

Perfect. Memorable. Brought back many memories as I lived on lake years ago! Extremely clean! When originally booked it was $195 a night. When added extra time price went up. Questioned back then and never got a response. Not happy with that. Owner’s were very gracious when propane went out. But fireplace didn’t work and I left 3 days early due to being very sick.

NOT RECOMMENDED - Mold!

Can’t give zero stars, I tried.Could smell mold immediately upon entering. Definitely in the full bathroom. We kept windows and doors open as much as possible, child with allergies slept in another part of house. Shame on people who do not disclose mold!!!Additionally, it wasn’t until we are already on the long drive there that we read about a tree down, covering most of the front area of the house.That tree is dried and has been down, covering some of the driveway and a broken fence as well as part of the walkway, making it narrow to carry stuff through, for probably a year or more, which tells you how well they really take care of the place. Very nicely decorated, missing some basics like olive oil and vinegar, basil, butter. Nice towels, good bed, but why put so much into making it look nice when the air in there is barely breathable?NOT WORTH THE MONEY

Here are some insights from the homeowner: -The cabin is situated above a lake, which can occasionally lead to moisture and a faint musty smell. We take great care to ensure the cabin is thoroughly cleaned and maintained in top condition before each guest’s arrival. As our vacation home, it receives ongoing upkeep and attention. -Concerning the tree in the yard, a severe storm with 85 mph winds swept through the area just two weeks before your arrival. Our records show that the guests were informed nearly 24 hours before their check-in. The removal of the tree has been closely monitored on a daily basis to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests. -Due to the extensive damage in the area, our tree removal was prioritized last. We scheduled the tree service to perform the removal when guests were not present to prioritize their safety and ensure an undisturbed experience at the cabin. -Regarding the expected items such as basil, olive oil, vinegar, and butter, these are not typically provided. However, we do offer a daily supply of coffee, various types of sugar and cream, and a selection of spices for our guests' convenience. -We make it a priority to check in with guests shortly after arrival and again the day before departure to address any concerns or issues promptly. We regret any inconvenience caused and encourage guests to communicate with us during their stay to ensure a pleasant experience. We strive to ensure that every guest enjoys the best possible stay, and we eagerly anticipate hosting many more satisfied guests at this property, as evidenced by our other reviews.

Perfect in every way.

The pictures don’t do this cozy getaway justice. Great location with a wonderful deck overlooking the lake. The house was spotless and stocked with anything and everything you need to enjoy and relax. The owner was fantastic and responded immediately.

The place was awesome. My only issue was not having internet access.

The lake house was beautiful. Very well kept and nice spacious, comfortable feel. The views were gorgeous. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked up. Close to the marina. My only issue was no internet connection during my stay. I contacted the owner and he was very apologetic and accommodating, however, this messed me up for work. Great place to stay excluding that.
