Great place to spend the holidays with a large family!
The house was nicely decorated for Christmas including a Christmas tree. I had a large family arriving at different days during the week. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a bathroom in the downstairs area. I would definitely stay there again!
Our stay was for our 4-h State Marksman competition and it worked out great for the 4 families that stayed there. Clean, comfy and plenty of entertainment
Came for a Family Wedding. Stayed from a Friday to Sunday.
Danville KY was about 30 Minutes away. It's the closest city, enjoyed the shopping area. Had a Bk, McDonald's, Cracker Barrel and a Pizza/Italian Buffet called Giovanni's very good. Has a Walmart and Ollie's. Good location to check out for shopping.
House was Beautiful inside, nice setup upstairs and downstairs.
Hopefully Host got toilet downstairs in full working condition so you can have full use of toilet & tub.
All in all we had a nice Visit.
One toilet didn’t work, no railing at entrance, ceiling fan in kitchen was filthy, several chairs in the kitchen were broken. Our car drug when we pulled out of gravel parking area. We had 2 on canes and with no railing it was very hard entering and leaving.
Great stay with extended family for Thanksgiving Holiday!
We hosted 10 family members for Thanksgiving dinner, turkey and all! This house was perfect for cooking the dinner and had all the cooking utensils we needed! Three generations were able to spread out and were very comfortable.
The property was amazing. Had a few issues when we were there. The pump on the pool never turned on that we know of. The down stairs bathroom would not drain properly and we could not use the toilet.
We arrived late and the host was accommodating. The house was clean and cozy. It was a great layout for our kids to play and have fun. We are definitely planning on staying again in the future!
We enjoyed our stay and were pleased with the house overall. It was very clean and communication was top notch and timely. Our only issue was the cleanliness of the pool. The pool required us to thoroughly skim it (well over an hour) and we were unable to completely remove the large amount of decayed and decaying leaves. When questioning whether the pump was operational we were told that it was on a timer to run over night. While we believe that this was the case the cycle may need to run for a much longer time due to its location under a walnut tree. Overall we had a great stay.
Location central to Shaker Village, Danville and Lexington - we spent a day in each, along with several tours on the Bourbon Trail. The house provided a wonderful gathering place, with kitchen/living room, front porch and firepit. Enjoyed the rural location, with lots of walks in the neighborhood. The house has been nicely updated and has lots of nice decorating touches. Very comfortable for our group of 6 senior (or almost senior) women.
The house was perfect for 10 adults and we had plenty of parking. Close to Lake but the weather was not warm.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Worked for 2 nights (sorta)
Huge house. Only sleeps 10 comfortably. The futon was hard as a rock which meant we had to sleep with a child between us.
The vrbo search stated the property was close to the Kentucky Wildcats football stadium, but it was almost an hour away. I should have messaged the host prior to booking.
Cleanliness was not to our standard. We had to buy detergent and wash the master sheets to remove musty smell. Master bath toilet had a mold ring. Trash in downstairs fridge, kitchen and laundry room when we arrived. Bugs ran out from behind downstairs oven when we turned on the lights. Upstairs fridge, oven and warming tray were dirty.
Below is the owners response to me asking if he would consider some type of refund for the issues we had at his place. The sewer line was stopped up for the down stairs bathroom. We wasted a day waiting on the plumber to come and fix the line. The wax ring was bad on the toilet after they fixed the line so then the smell from the septic tank was flooding into this bathroom so it was unusable. The toilet was grouted to the floor so the plumber couldn't replace the wax seal. We just kept the door shut. My full review was to long and they want allow a link to a full review with pictures of all the issues we had at this location. So here is the summary. No heat in the basement. There were two hot water heaters but we didn't have enough hot water for only 6 adults spacing out showers. The kitchen in the basement was unusable. The washing machine was standing full of smelly water as it was broken. Below is the response that I received from the owner. Owner: Let me suggest that next time you come to this area that you stay at the FULL SERVICE Marriott downtown Lexington! They have a concierge, full time staff, maintenance and cleaning! No it runs about $xxx a night so 3 rooms will set you back $xxxx a night. Oh yea they don't come in your rooms during your stay so don't count on maid service. This is a post Covid19 thing. This way next time you can have a nice Easter and get all you are looking for in a place to stay! Oh by the way my Easter wasn't good either bc I had to deal with an unrealistic guest that spend his whole time complaining about the house and yet he calls himself not a complainer. That is funny. Good luck to you.
I have rental property and I don't like people complaining about minor issues. This was a major issue that someone knew about and should have not rented this property until it was fixed. The bathroom was locked when we arrived and windows upstairs were left open. I feel this was done to air the smell out of the house and hope that we just didn't need to use the bathroom downstairs. I wish I could put the full review here but this is all that will fit.
We all loved this house! There were 10 adults in our group and everyone had room to spread out. If we ever get the chance to come back to Kentucky, we will definitely try to book here again!
Very spacious, clean property. Perfect for our annual family get together. Located in a beautiful neighborhood and surrounded by the nicest people. Property owner was also very nice and easy to communicate with.
House was nice, had all necessities. All Beds were queen and master a king, worked for all the couples. Great area to set and play games. All and all very good for group of people. Owner was great and very accommodating. If back this way will definitely stay again. 👍👍
We loved our stay! Everything was well-organized and easy to enjoy!
