Renovated in 2024, this private getaway offers the best of both Maines: a peaceful wooded lakefront setting with convenient access to the coastal attractions of the Midcoast region. Explore Medomak Pond’s 240 acres with the on-site kayaks, fish from the dock, take a swim, or just sit on the deck and enjoy the views.
With an optimal mix of modern amenities and traditional Maine “camp” design, the cottage has beautiful lake and woodland views from the house, front deck, and screened porch. Added in the last two years: new kitchen, shower, washer/dryer, air conditioning, fiber optic internet wifi, flooring, front door, windows, deck, roof, some furniture, etc. And now featuring a sleeping loft with two twin beds and ship’s ladder access under a 4-1/2' ceiling.
Accommodation for six guests includes: one queen bed in a private bedroom; a twin daybed with a second twin trundle in the second bedroom; two twin beds in the loft; and one full sofa bed in the living room.
Located right at the water's edge on a private dirt drive, Lakeside Cottage amenities include: dock with swim ladder, exclusive use of two kayaks (one single, one tandem), stand-up paddleboard (upon request), deck chairs, picnic table, and propane grill.
Access to the driveway and floating dock is shared between the Lakeside Cottage and the owner’s home, about 300 feet farther up the driveway. These two homes share about twelve acres of woods on a dead-end road, providing peace and privacy.

About the host
Hosted by Deirdre
I purchased this from the long-time original owners, and I'm enjoying improving the property and sharing it with summer visitors to Midcoast Maine.
Why they chose this property
Privacy - on 12 acres, on a private road, with acres of woods between us and the nearest neighbors. Lakefront - Medomak Pond is the perfect size, big enough to kayak or fish for hours but too small for noisy power boats. Location - between Boothbay Harbor and Camden, within an easy drive of dozens of great main streets and waterfront attractions.
What makes this property unique
After a day of touring bustling harborfronts, it's so relaxing to drive down our private dead-end road and return to a quiet oasis surrounded by shady woods and wildlife. And the central location is a short drive from all the attractions of Midcoast Maine.
