Historic Home in East Chop

Renovated home in East Chop, Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard. Built in 1872 by my great, great grandfather, the house has the charm of a historical home, but has the modern conveniences for you to enjoy a relaxing vacation on Martha’s Vineyard. The house is located in a quiet wooded area in East Chop, an exclusive area of Oak Bluffs. Just walking distance to downtown Oak Bluffs, the house is conveniently located to Oak Bluffs harbor, jetty beach, great family restaurants, and shopping.

This 4 bedroom, 2 full bath house has just received a substantial renovation including a new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, master suite w/private bath, laundry room, new heating and air conditioning, instant hot water heater, new hard wood floors, all new furniture, new beds and bedding, and all freshly painted. The house has a wrap-around enclosed porch to enjoy a rest after a busy day at the beach and a new flag stone patio in back that includes a gas grill and new outdoor shower.

The house has a large side yard for kids to play and a hammock for those that want to relax and enjoy the quiet setting.

We supply all the amenities which includes sheets, blankets, bath towels, and beach chairs. The kitchen is fully stocked for those that like to cook. Cable TV and WiFi.

Like a home away from home, come join us for a relaxing summer vacation on the island.

Wonderful home with unique history. We spent the majority of our time on the back patio enjoying cards, the shade, and the smell of the sea. I personally took all my showers in the outdoor shower. Absolutely wonderful!

Few days on Martha’s Vineyard

We enjoyed our time on the island. The house was convenient to Oak Bluffs and all the activities we wanted to do. Check in was smooth and the owner was helpful and responsive. Would stay here again.

This home is the quintessential MV home, but is also modernized; a perfect combination! We love the house and the location; it’s quiet enough to feel like you’re in the woods, but close enough to town to walk!

Perfect spot for a quiet family getaway

The property was exactly as quaint as it was in the picture. It is not a busy street which was perfect for us. Great location close to Oak Bluffs and all the restaurants and shops. Cozy and you felt at home as soon as you walked in. The house had everything that you need.

FIRST Time’s A Charm

First time to MV, so I didn’t really know what to expect. I thought the property was even better in person than what I envisioned from the listing. Is was quaint and charming and APPEARS to be off the beaten path BUT was conveniently located to restaurants, shopping and the beach, which we thought was pretty cool. The homeowner was pleasant to deal with from the time of booking until check out. Very responsive and connected a couple of times during our stay to make sure everything was good. The only slight was having one shower inside the house for our group of all women. However, those that tried the outdoor shower did enjoy the experience. We would stay again.

This beautiful house accommodated our family perfectly. Since one member was a professional chef we wanted a nice kitchen and a table to gather around. Beds were comfortable & there was space for everyone to gather or find a nook to be on their own. Outdoor shower was a hit. Loved the decor, lighting, seating, location - no notes! Easy walk to town. Jonathan was quick to respond. Everything was perfect. Definitely recommend this house.

Excellent vacation home!

We just completed our stay with another couple. The house is exactly as described, renovated and very clean. We only used two of the bedrooms and used one of the bedrooms to store our luggage. The house is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything to enjoy your stay. We especially loved having a comfortable patio and the use of the gas grill. Navigating the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms may be tricky if you have mobility problems but there is a frat floor bedroom, if that is the case. We plan to rent again next summer. The owner checks in on your arrival and departure which we appreciated.

Wonderful in every way!

The house was perfect for a friends' long weekend. A perfect mix of historic and new. The house is lovely and charming with a wonderfully updated kitchen and bathroom. Awesome home

Loved everything about this house! Love the charm of the older home blended with the contemporary updates. Backyard is number one with great seating for lounging and dining. Outdoor shower is one of the best. Wifi was iffy especially in backyard. Bedrooms are small but the overall footprint of the house makes up for this. Great neighborhood. Well stocked kitchen, short walk downtown. Very relaxing.
