This former duplex has been completely remodeled into an amazing 4 bedroom, 2 full bath home with a huge, open living, dining and kitchen offering an alluring view of the ocean! Renovation included a fully equipped kitchen, furnishings, flooring, walls, doors and windows in great room area, baths, bedding, Washer/Dryer, & Dishwasher. Cable TVs, covered oceanfront porch and outside shower. Soak in the sun and relax while making memories that will last a lifetime for your family and friends at Katydids. No Pets. No Smoking. Linens included in weekly and less than 7 day stays only. 3 night minimum rates available in Value/Spring and 4 night minimum in Resort seasons. Please call our office to inquire. The house was perfect beautiful and exactly as depicted. The property was very clean. This was our 5th Thanksgiving on Oak Island and by far our favorite beachfront home. We will be back!!

Another great stay!

This is our second time staying at Katydids and we had a great time. Perfect space for two couples with four young kids. No stairs inside, open floor plan, updated kitchen, covered porch and steps to the beach. We plan to stay again.

My wife and I booked this rental along with our daughter and her family. This will be our third time at Oak Island and I would say this was our favorite. The property was clean, updated with plenty of room for everyone. We love being Oceanfront, just makes it easier for the grand kids.

We enjoyed the gorgeous windows and view of the ocean from the living room. The kitchen was amazingly well equipped. We would definitely go back for another family reunion.

Great Spring Break

Perfect for our multigenerational family getaway. Plenty of space and great communal space in the kitchen and dining area that opens up to the living room. The house offers easy access to the beach - just steps from the porch - and I enjoyed walking out before breakfast to enjoy the view. Will visit again!

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay on Oak Island. The house was perfect for two couples with young children. Kid friendly open floor plan with not much for several toddlers to get into. Great view from the covered porch. Just steps to the beach. We are planning to stay again next year!

The only complaint I have is that the bed pillows were so thick it was impossible to sleep on them and the pillow cases made it worse because they were too small so we had to stuff the pillows in and it made them even worse because there was no way the flatten them. Pillow cases were too narrow for the pillows. Also most people like to relax to tTV while lying in bed and there weren't TV's in all bedrooms and the 2 there were , were 16" what good is a 16" TV???? Seriously put a 30" in each bedroom at least. Other wise nice place

We had an outstanding and relaxing visit to Oak Island. Our VRBO was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. Right on the beach. Great restaurant just 2 miles down the beach.

Katydids house

We were not given the promised email so didn't know how to check in. We had to call when arrived then drive back to office for keys. Was not told would not have supplies(toilet paper, kitchen towels, dish and bath diapers etc). When I called about this I was told they sent an email but they quoted me the incorrect address, the person was very rude and never did send the email.
