Bayfront Retreat

We were very pleased with the accommodations. The condo was very clean and well stocked with various items. The view of the bay from the balcony was amazing. Lori responded quickly to our questions and was very accommodating to our request for an early check-in. We would definitely consider staying here on a future trip.

What a gem

The place is very cozy. Loved the balcony. Watched sunrise and sunsets. Bay is very close, and the beach is within minutes. What a gem! What a presence of God in this place.

Great Christmas Retreat

We were truly blessed to stay at your property just after Christmas. It is walking distance to the beach and right next to a park. The house was stocked with everything you could ever need. We enjoyed the peaceful bay and the quiet neighborhood. I was even able to bring my boat and catch fish. Will definitely stay again. Thank you for sharing your home.

Amazing Place for a Stay.

Stayed for 4 nights. Place was immaculately clean and well-maintained. Well stocked with everything we needed. Also in a great location <5 minutes from the grocery store and several good places to eat. Beach was literally a 3 minute easy walk away. The park out front was a lovely place to watch the sunrise, and the porch in the afternoon was a great place to relax and read. I would recommend this rental to anyone who wants a quiet place to stay in the area.

Perfect Bay View

Lori was so easy to work with and her place was super clean and decorated tastefully. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked and basically all we needed was our clothes and food. She had a basket of waters & popcorn & a sweet welcome note that included the sunset & sunrise times waiting for us on the kitchen counter. Lori is an exceptional hostess!

Just Perfect

The property was clean and well stocked for our stay. Short walk to the beach and the towels, chairs, and wagon to take everything along was a fabulous touch. Communication with the owner (even staying there for the holiday) was easy. The welcome basket and personal note were lovely. The fact that the house was decorated for Christmas, including a beautifully decorated tree, was absolutely above and beyond. Thank you for such a nice stay. Would definitely rent this home again.

Home Away from Home

Our stay at Lori's property was the perfect place for our small group. Location was perfect for early morning sunrises on the bay and evening sunsets on the Gulf.We could not have asked for a better, more clean, perfect place to stay. Lori was more than gracious to get the place clean and tidy four hours earlier than the normal check-in because we'd been on a long red eye flight the night before. We were welcomed to a cool, very clean, and fresh smelling comfortable place that had everything we could possibly think of needing. I give Lori and her home away from home the highest of ratings and will reach out if we're ever in the area again in the future.

Great Getaway at Izzy's

My brother and I just enjoyed a week long stay at Izzy's Island Retreat on Anna Maria Island. We want to give our hosts Nick and Lori a big thank you for being very accommodating. The house was spotless and furnished with all the amenities one would need for an extended stay. The east view from the living quarters and balcony overlooked a quaint city park with the bay 20 yards away. There was a view of both bridges and 200 yards to the west was the gulf. We enjoyed sunrises on the bay in the mornings and sunsets on the gulf in the evening. The beach was beautiful and there was great access to restaurants and shops. We rented a golf cart to get around easily. I hope Izzy's is available again the next time we go to AMI. I will be sure to recommend Izzy's to friends and family.

Host kept the AC at 77° during the day. It wasn't till I contacted her the next day and asked her to please turn the air down. She said she could only go down one degree to 76 The AC system was on it EcoNest system.It was very uncomfortable. Great location but will not be staying at this place again. The whole place needed lots and lots and lots of TLC and renovation which it just seemed very neglected.

We loved this place! It was clean, thoughtfully decorated, and comfortable. It has about every appliance you could hope for so if you want to cook instead of going out, stop by Publix on your way in and pick up groceries. They stock several varieties of coffee for the Keurig, so you won't need that unless you just want to bring your own. The back of the property faces the intracoastal so you can sit out on the lanai and watch the sunrise reflect on the water in the morning. We also walked the 3 blocks to the beach every evening to watch the sunset. Included with this place are beach chairs, beach umbrellas, floaties, and sunscreen. The property is set back the 3 blocks from busy Gulf Blvd so it's ridiculously quiet when you go to sleep at night. For after dark or rainy days, there's board games, DVDs, cable, Netflix, etc. We loved it here and have already re-booked. The owners are incredibly helpful and have great suggestions for the area.

All we could ask for!

We had a fantastic time staying at Loris place! We had high expectations and they got surpassed. The location is amazing, a quiet, cute street and very close to the beach. Everyone we meet were so firendly! We enjoyed having a coffee and looking at the sunrise every morning from the patio. And we could catch the sunset at the beach every evening. Lori had left us a lovely note that made us feel so welcomed. The basketball court and the small playground were perfect for our kids when they needed to burn of some energy. The whole family really enjoyed the park area outside. We could find everything we needed! Our daugther even found a basket with toys for indoor play. My husband and I really enjoyed the very nice home decor. Lori was great to have contact with, the few questions we had we got very fast response to. The whole family wish that we can be back soon, although there is a long way from Stockholm. Staying a Loris was the best way we could end our vacation in Florida and will always be a great memory for our family.

I moved to the area in 2007 taking a job working as a Marine Chemist at Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota, FL. As an avid lover of the Marine Environment, it was a dream come true to be able to own a property on Sarasota Bay, so close to the beach, and to be able to raise my daughter here! I am originally from the Chicago area, so the quiet town of Bradenton Beach is a welcome retreat from the cold winters up north! In 2015, my precious daughter Isabella was born- the light of my lives - and whom I named the property after! Things have changed since my early days working at Mote! I now own and run Rhea Lana's of Manatee, a children's consignment event franchise, that helps local families sell their gently used children's items. I also manage the rental and enjoy being with my precious angel. I still love the Ocean and Marine Life, just as much though! The two of us live full-time on the other side of the duplex and are readily available to help make your vacation complete.

Why they chose this property

I grew up in Chicago, lived in South Carolina for 6 years while attending college, and San Diego, California, for another couple of years. None of these places felt like my forever home, so I saved up money and began travelling through most of the USA and the world for a year. It wasn't until I moved to the Sarasota area until I really felt "home" and felt that this was an area I could stay. I love being on the west coast of FL, where you can see the sunrise and set over the water in the same day and swim in the warm tranquil waters of the Gulf of Mexico. I feel so lucky to have such beautiful, warm water to explore and relax in and yet still be close to our family in the Continental US!

What makes this property unique

Sweeping Bay views from the main living area, and one block from the beach, make this an ideal spot to witness the beginning and end of each day! There is also nothing like seeing the full moon glistening over the bay waters!
