We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 128 October Glory in Oceanview, DE last week (June 2023). The house itself was beautifully furnished and well-maintained. It provided us with a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The location of the property was perfect, offering convenient access to the beaches, the charming town of Oceanview, restaurants, grocery stores, and other amenities. While the community pool was within walking distance, we found it more convenient to drive, especially when carrying pool gear.
However, we did encounter a few issues during our stay. Firstly, the master toilet was not properly secured and tended to move. Additionally, we discovered a dirty pan in one of the drawers, which had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. The pantry floor had chocolate chips scattered all over it, which was not a welcoming sight upon our arrival. Furthermore, the back patio table had not been cleaned.
Another minor inconvenience was the lack of clear labeling on the remotes, the lack of essential cooking items such as cooking oil or spray, and no cutting board. While it is not uncommon for guests to leave such items behind in most rentals, this particular property required us to remove everything, including napkins and paper towel rolls, which we could have left for the next guests. Lastly, the kitchen and bathroom faucets could benefit from an upgrade.
Despite these issues, the experience was comfortable and enjoyable. We would recommend this property for future guests.
