We enjoyed our short stay here. I love the vintage decor. It was clean and comfortable. The location is perfect. We walked into town. We also rode the trolley, which stops near the apartment.
Overall great. Parking situation isn’t ideal if there are multiple parties.House was cozy and welcoming.

From the owner: "We’re glad to hear you found the home cozy and welcoming, and had a great stay! The town of Deadwood is on the National Historic Register, with the majority of the houses built in the 1800s. Parking is at a premium here in town, but we are luckier than most to have room for 4 regular-sized vehicles and 2 oversized. There is free parking about a block away for any overflow. This is all detailed in our listing and Welcome Books. Thank you for your review!"
The place was perfect for us and another couple. The location was ideal and we had plenty of accommodations. We hit a few snags when we first got there but the manager was extremely responsive and helped get us through any issues.
Great place to stay a little ways from downtown. We walked there and back several times, but it was nice having a trolley stop right on the corner. We stayed during Forks, Corks, and Kegs and it had everything we needed plus it was quiet. Would definitely stay here again!

Great spot!
We went to the Forks, Corks, and Kegs event and this property was great. We were able to walk to the event or we could catch the trolley that stopped right on the corner. The house was very clean and had everything we needed.
We didn't get into town until very late, but luckily the owners had great communication and made the check in process really smooth. There's a trolly stop right next to the place which was perfect for getting around town without taking cars. Also, its only about a 10-15 minute walk to the mains street area if you don't want to wait for trolleys. We'd definitely stay here again!
Stayed here for a sister trip and had a wonderful time. Cutely decorated place! Really comfortable. Beds are awesome if you like memory foam.
Host was responsive. Easy access via code to get in.
We had some trouble with the TV and Roku (didnt work all the time). Also, you should probably give 4 adults more than 2 rolls of toiletpaper for a 3-night stay. Maybe some extra batteries for the remote, and some ice in the freezer would be nice. Parking is pretty tough too. The spots are so small only a smart car would actually fit between the lines, FYI.
Overall, we had a great time, but a couple extra necessities would have made it much better.
The decor and layout of the property is really cool. They took a lot of time to decorate this unit in a mid-century layout. Well done. I would suggest that they don't skimp on some of the amenities like Kleenex, soap, paper towels, throw a few bottles of water in the fridge. The nest thermostat was annoying to operate. The fridge is an issue. It's fairly noisy and the ice maker doesn't work, and the ice trays were empty. It's a cool property but with a few minor tweaks the experience will be even better.

Not completely as advertised
This is advertised as a “home” which to me implied a single home. It is a 3-plex with a tenant in the basement with a dog that barks at night. The picture of the front of the house hides the other sides stairs behind the tree. I sent a message about 5 weeks prior to my stay about parking with no response and then had an issue when I arrived. The large burners on the stove do not work so all cooking is done with small pans. As another reviewer said the furniture is very uncomfortable, we just wanted to relax after a day on the trails. This is a very clean property and is probably just right for someone else, but with more information I would have kept looking for something else.

Hi Sara, thanks for your review. After going over your feedback with the homeowner, we wanted to share the following:
- The listing clearly states that this property is an apartment and not a single-family home.
- The tenant with the dog is no longer living at the apartments so this should not be a concern for future guests.
- A new oven has been purchased so guests will be able to cook without any issues.
The owner does all they can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests!
