Great place to stay!

We loved staying at Hilton Head. It was our first time here. This property was as advertised and perfect for the 4 adults and 2 kids in our party! Excellent location right across the street from the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

Location was excellent!

We had a great vacation and the location was excellent!! Only had one minor issue and it was handled immediately. I do like to cook while on vacation and wish the kitchen was better equipped. The walk to the beach and Coligny Park was not far at all. I absolutely would stay again!

Great location

This condo is in a great location just across the street from the beach and walking/biking distance to Coligny (ice cream and shopping). We would love to see a few updates and a more thorough cleaning, but it worked for our family vacation and the price.

Many bonuses

This is the 2nd or 3rd time we have stayed at Hilton Head Cabanas. We love the location. So close to the beach. HHC8 had many additional options that we loved including the bikes and beach chairs. The property manager was very easy to work with and was able to assist quickly when we contacted them with two questions. We would be willing to stay there again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay! It was one of the best vacations we’ve ever taken. The location was perfect. Just a short walk to the beach and just down from shopping and restaurants. The rental had everything we needed and plenty of space for the six of us. The kids loved the pool also. We would and hopefully will stay here in the future.

Good Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location cannot be beat, and the added benefit of having 4 bikes included is huge! However this condo overall is old & dated, peeling paint, sink drains don't work, poorly stocked kitchen, awful mattresses. Despite the age, it was very clean.I did attempt to call once during our stay (the listing advertisement said there were 4 backpack chairs, not true), and once the day we left. I left messages, no call back. I also sent a text, again no reply. I did email about a left item, and got a one line reply about 3 hours later. Overall, I think this place could be great if the owners wanted to invest in sprucing it up. However, my bigger complaint is the poor customer service from the rental company. I will use a different property management company for future stays.

We carefully reviewed all of our recorded communication logs and found that the only contact we received was a phone call after your departure regarding a necklace left behind. We responded by letting you know we would check the property, contact our housekeeping team, and follow up with you. We did not receive any calls, texts, or voicemails during your stay regarding the beach chairs or any maintenance concerns. Had we been made aware of these issues while you were in the home, we would have been happy to assist. Additionally, the property is equipped with the backpack beach chairs advertised in the listing, and our pre-arrival inspections confirmed they were present before your arrival. Thank you again for your feedback and for staying with Island Rentals of Hilton Head. We wish you all the best in your future travels.

The old switcheroo

Didn’t get to stay here. We were notified 3 days before our arrival that due to construction we were being moved to another property. Things worked out eventually but the new property had ongoing painting as well as a water outage during our stay. Not our best visit to HHI.

Great location & property

Pros: property management is amazing and came very quickly to fix kitchen plumbing; beach access is RIGHT across the street; Coligny Plaza is literally down the street; condo’s floorplan is nice; all appliances worked well; towels and sheets were clean; additional box fans helped keep bedrooms nice and cool; pool and property are wonderful; bikes are included. Cons: floors are extremely dirty; terrible black mold growing under the built-in soap holder in shower/tub; bathrooms were wiped down but not clean; NO sharp knives; toilets needed to be flushed twice all the time; box fans are quite dusty which is not the best for allergies.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was excellent—right across the street from the path to the beach, and close to shops and restaurants. The condo itself is functional but a bit outdated; it could use a fresh coat of paint and new couches. It comes with four beach chairs, which was a nice bonus. There were also four bikes available: two were in working condition, one had an issue with the pedals, and the fourth had a third wheel attachment, making it unusable for a single rider. Fortunately, we only needed two bikes, so it worked out fine and was a nice amenity to have. Overall, it was a good value for the price.

Parking was great, location was good. Overall was a decent stay. Master bedroom didn’t have many plugs to plug things in. Back door doesn’t shut unless locked, screen door was off the track, bathroom curtain was really dirty and front storm door handle would come off when you shut it. Definitely needs an upgrade for the price we paid.
