BEFORE YOU BOOK PLEASE READ
From November 1- April 15 please be aware that the Utah Department of Transportation and Town of Brighton rules about canyon travel require snow tires (3PMSF) or chains to make it safely up the canyon and to the home. Snow plowing on neighborhood roads is provided by local vendors and intermittent. Cottonwood Lodging does not have control over snow plowing. DO NOT TAKE UBERS OR LYFTS TO THIS PROPERTY. Plan to check in between 4pm - 8pm to avoid unplowed roads if it is storming and note that this home can accommodate ONLY 3 vehicles.

Winter Guided Arrival:
- At the request of the neighborhood to ensure that no one gets stuck or lost and disturbs the locals, a staff member will meet you on the main road and guide you to your property. Plan to check in between 4pm - 8pm at the latest. This will allow us to provide assistance if necessary and help to avoid unplowed roads if it is storming. Please do not arrive on your own even if you have stayed with us before. This keeps a positive relationship with the neighbors who appreciate it.

La Vista is managed by locally owned and operated property manager Cottonwood Lodging Company where the guest experience is most important. Please reach out for information about the area and other services offered by Cottonwood Lodging.

Contemporary mountain retreat with breathtaking views of Mount Millicent. Nestled in a pine and aspen grove, this home offers privacy and the convenience of being just steps from the Milly Express lift! Our home features 30’ floor-to-ceiling windows in a large open living and dining area, 6 bedrooms with three en-suite bathrooms, as well as numerous amenities including 3 Roku-enabled TVs, hot tub, sauna, wraparound deck, gas grill, audio system, 2 washers/dryers, and WiFi. In-floor radiant heat throughout makes for a cozy return from the slopes! Sleds, games and puzzles are available for guest use.

PLEASE NOTE - this property has a studio apartment below the garage with a separate entrance that the owner sometimes uses for overnight stays. The parking spot in the garage on the far right is reserved for the owner and must be kept clear.

MAIN LEVEL:
-Living Room- Newly updated comfortable couches in front of a wood fireplace, as well as a reading/TV nook with 2 smaller couches. Relax and check out the awesome views of Brighton slopes from the huge windows!

-Dining Area- Dining table accommodates 8, while there are 3 more seats at the nearby counter.

-Kitchen- Beautifully updated kitchen with many tools to help you prepare your meals, including a crock pot and double oven!

UPSTAIRS:
-Primary Suite- HUGE primary suite with king bed and amazing views! Gas fireplace, lounge area, and TV, as well as luxurious primary bathroom with jetted tub and separate shower.

-King/King Bunkroom- Spacious bunk room with 2 king mattresses and ensuite full bathroom.

-King/King Bunkroom- King on bottom, queen on top, ensuite bathroom.

-Queen Bedroom/Upper Laundry Area- Queen bed in this 4th bedroom shares a space with the upstairs w/d. If you need to do nighttime laundry, there is another w/d downstairs!

DOWNSTAIRS:
-Entertainment Room- new large, cozy reclining couch, and huge Roku TV with DVD player.

-Queen Bedroom- Queen bed with private closet

-Queen Bedroom- Queen bed with closet and bookcase

-Sauna- Enjoy the pleasure of your own private steam sauna after a long day!

-Common Full Bathroom- Double sinks, large counterspace, and separate shower area.

GREAT STAY!

This house has everything we needed for a comfortable and fun stay during our snowboarding week in the canyons! Cozy, comfortable and convenient! The views were amazing and being able to hop over the hill to the loft was perfect! We hope to return soon!

THIS is the Place!

Beautiful, modern cabin and, as they say, it has the 3 most important features you want in a property: location, location, location! Right off of Milly Express lift, this was a perfect ski and snowboard cabin for our active family. Highly, highly recommend!

This house was amazing! Plenty of rooms and beds for our group, and being able to ski in and ski out was unbeatable! Owner's of the house had every appliance and kitchenware needed. Property managers were very communicative and easy to get a hold of! We hope this place is available for our trip next year!

A Cooks Ski House...

Amazing property. Every appliance and utensil to cook gourmet meals. Oh and you can walk to the closest run in a few minutes and ski down to the lift. Great house.

Great Location

The house was great for our ski trip. The management team was very responsive to questions or issues. Kitchen was well stocked. Great TV room in the basement. Wood provided for the fireplace. Water Vaporizers in each bedroom. Sauna was popular. Only issue was the non-functioning hot tub. Great property.

Awesome luxury getaway!

What an incredible property! My wife and I got married at Brighton and we stayed here with our wedding party to use as a hub to get ready and for a little staycation as well. Such a fun and beautiful place! The property manager was very accommodating and she had excellent communication. We had a very fun and memorable time! Would love to come back in the winter! Thanks again!

Wonderful Slopeside

We stayed at this property with a group of friends for skiing and had an amazing experience. The house was perfect - the kitchen was great for cooking for a large group, the house was well taken care, and we loved the hot tub and sauna. We came during an extremely snowy week, and the host was in constant contact about tractions requirements and weather alerts. They were even willing to accommodate leaving our cars in the driveway late on our check day when several feet of snow fell - although the road and driveway ended up being plowed very quickly so it wasn't an issue.

Perfect and great way to spend my 60th birthday!

We couldn’t have asked for better. This home is in a convenient location for skiing. Very quiet. Great views. Large rooms and a master bedroom/bathroom that is amazing. All high end appliances in the kitchen. Loved the hot tub and sauna too. Make sure you do have snow tires and 4 wheel drive. We had 9 adults and 2 kids with us. Everyone enjoyed it. I would rent this again in a heartbeat. Very responsive owner as well.

Great Location - Need 4WD

The house is right next to the Milly Express - easy access in and out. This was a big snow year so getting up the private road to the house was challenging - you must have 4WD or else you won’t make it. The house is a little quirky. The 6th bedroom has a washer/dryer in it, no closet or hooks, and no access to a bathroom. Not really a bedroom except that it has a bed. We managed anyway. The kitchen is great and there were lots of spices, etc. left over in the pantry, which was nice. The management team was great - very responsive and accommodating.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is an absolute unit of a cabin but still retains the immersive charm expected from a winter getaway. It is situated right on the mountain above Milly Express and is a true ski in/out, albeit slightly more difficult to ski back in than it was to ski out. The cabin itself has everything you could want and more - hot tub overlooking the slopes, indoor sauna, fully equipped chef’s kitchen (best stocked I’ve ever been to with truly excellent kitchenware), amazing entertainment areas, and plush comfortable beds capable of hosting multiple families. It had so many thoughtful touches that made it really feel like it was meant to be lived in and enjoyed, not simply a place to stay. Only complaint would be to fix the door closest to the hot tub - it was very cold running to and from the far door and the hot tub. A minor inconvenience in an otherwise unforgettable stay.

Multiple light bulbs are out and should be replaced. The queen size bunk beds are a hazard and unstable. The safety rails haven't been installed so they are unsafe for kids. There is no bracing or stabilization so the beds shake wildly with the slightest movement. They are cheap imports that must have been purchased online, there is no way any store could sell them. House was fine otherwise.

This beautiful house is nestled in a very quiet, scenic area, right at the base of Milly Lift. We wanted a ski in/ski out and it was literally less than 50 steps to where you would put your skis on and go. Accommodations were just as we expected and that is always very much appreciated. The kitchen was a favorite because it was absolutely stocked with everything we could imagine or hope for, the best kitchen we have ever had. The hot tub was wonderful and the sauna was a huge hit! The gas fireplace starter was super helpful and the ample stock of firewood in the garage was much appreciated. We had 10 adults and two babies and when we got there we realized very quickly that we were in need of a couple items for the babies that we hadn’t planned on. We texted Carole the property manager and her family/staff and were immediately taken care of. No matter what it was that we were in need of or had a question about the response was immediate and the help was quick and efficient. The only thing that we would say, for the future, is to put signs on the garage door alluding to how and where to park. It is in the book but often times we don’t look at the book until several days later.

Wonderful home with plenty of space

We were a group of 10 (2 families) who stayed for 6 days in mid-December 2021. The house is beautiful, has everything you might want or need and then some - with a few caveats. While it is *technically* a ski in-ski out, the Milly Express lift which is near the house was not running so it was more of a ski out and hike back, up a large mountain. The youngest in our groups could not do this without adults carrying them, which when you have skis poles, ski boots, up a VERY steep incline, is near impossible. We made the best of it and enjoyed the house with the views and all the snow! There were at least a dozen lights out across the house including half the primary bathroom vanity, the sauna (it's pitch black without a light!), and living spaces. The kitchen is outfitted with almost everything (ALL the oils, spices, teas, pantry staples, pots and pans, dishes, etc.) except the crock pot lid! Also beware the toaster because it will burn everything and will only stop if you unplug it. Fire hazard for sure! Lastly, the neighborhood requires 4WD or AWD to access it, so if you rent a car or hire a driver, make sure they're equipped to get up the mountain! Ultimately, none of us wanted to leave and were so glad we stayed where we did. It was an awesome experience and we'd recommend it to anyone.
