The couple that owns the property were extremely accommodating. House has everything needed for a relaxing stay away from home. I do recommend the cart for a quick way back and forth to lake. All in all I have no complaints. Our family will definitely be back.
The cabin was comfortable and spacious with the most amazing Mountain views. It was a short hike down to the lake with a great dock with lots of fun to be had including kayaks, paddle boards and floaties.
Dawn was a great host and always responded immediately with any questions we had. She went out of her way to make sure we had an enjoyable, comfortable stay!
Every aspect of cabin was well thought thru and arranged. Every floor, deck, and lawn has incredible view of Smokey mountains.
Great lake and watersport equipment access. Hosts went above and beyond rental terms on several occasions to ensure our expectations were exceeded.

Thank you so much Michael for the very kind review. Come back and see us again.
Poppy's Place is a wonderful cabin with great views! We spent Christmas of 2023 there and had a great time! The cabin was clean, comfortable, and came with everything we needed!! The hosts were great with communication and replied to each text message we sent when we had questions. Wonderful welcome items were waiting for us at the cabin when we arrived and the whole process was easy. I would recommended this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing mountain vacation!! 5 stars!!!
Overall property was great but we didn’t actually use most of it. We found ourselves on the deck facing the view for almost the entire trip. It was a hot week and when we needed a reprieve, the AC was awesome.
Easy access to Newport, which has one of the best Mexican restaurants we have been to called La Carretta.
We ended up driving down to the lake when we decided to swim as the incline was a little steep for the trip back up.
It was great as we had the beautiful view and access to the lake, which sometimes you only get one or the other.
Dawn was very responsive with questions that came up before, during and even after our stay. (Lost item)
We would definitely stay again.
We were disappointed in the community dock situation. It was covered in bugs and you could not see lake at all. The distance from the cabin to the dock has to be driven it was not something that was anything older or young children could walk, it was extremely steep. If the golf cart was available it is $100.00 a day and the rental boat was broken and not available..it was our our fault that we did not realize how far away from town the cabin was or that we could not be on the lake. The cabin had a great hot tub and the decks were awesome! The cabin was great for the right people who want a community dock and do not plan to be out and about. We loved that our dog could be with aid as that a huge plus for us.
Poppy's Place was as advertised, plus! It was clean and comfortable. Beds on 3 floors giving everyone privacy and space for alone time. There was a nice family room with a cathedral ceiling and comfortable seating. Kitchen was well stocked. There were multiple screened porches, the largest with a hot tub. There were ceiling fans with two on the porch, which were much appreciated to cool off and still enjoy being outside. There was a fire pit with chairs and the hosts left the fixings for s'mores! There were ample pots and pans, TP, flashlights, towels, and books. The hosts provided a great assortment of current books scattered around the house. My wife finished one and almost another. (We'll have to pick it up.)There was a dock a short walk away. There were a variety of water activities to be had at the dock including kayaking, water trampoline, swimming, stand up paddle boards, fishing or just relaxing on the chairs under the canopy. (It was reasonably deep at the end of the dock, too.)All in all, we had a fantastic time, especially since it was supposed to rain all week and it never did during the days!Great place! Super hosts! I highly recommend it!
We were 3 couples so it was a pleasant experience getting to have our bedroom space located on different levels as it offered privacy. Hosts communicated well and had plenty of supplies for us to utilize including firewood with starter logs. It was a pet Friendly place with grassy area for dogs. It’s away from all the hustle bustle of Pigeon Forge but still close enough to make a trip or two there while staying here. We actually stayed in a couple days due to snow-ice and wished the living room and kitchen area was a little bigger as that is where we spent our time cooking together, laughing, and watching TV however the hostess told us they have other properties for rent with bigger areas for that. Hostess also told us they were doing fireworks on New Years Eve and it was a spectacular show from the balcony and we didn’t have to fight the crowds.
Overall we loved the place.
My wife and I decided to make a trip to east TN following our wedding as we wanted some peace & quiet and to be able to relax after a hectic last week plus. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating and we were able to take our fur babies with us, without any issue at all. This area is very quiet, has wonderful views and the cabin is very cozy. We will definitely be looking to stay here again next time we want to head to east TN.
We had the best time at the cabin! The hosts, dawn and Scott were more than accommodating- even brought over some flour because i forgot it! There were so many amazing memories made with our kids (6 kids, ages 4 to 14). We cooked every day and had more than enough supplies. We brought extra paper towels and toilet paper but definitely didn't need to. The lake is so warm, we couldn't get enough. We hung out on the dock and rented the boats/ jet ski. We seriously cannot wait to come back next summer!!!
Jessica and Nicolas ❤️
This was the best cabin we have ever stayed at. We walked in the door to fresh roses in the kitchen, living room and master bedroom. Everything we needed was available. Nice, new kitchen pots and pans, coffee maker, etc. Wolfgang Puck coffee was available for us as well as all the needs for coffee. Ball jars of candy were left for kids (and mom) plus the owners put together a s’mores kit and a bottle of Tennessee BBQ sauce and pickles. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The owners even let us use a golf cart to take us to and from the lake! That was very unexpected and so appreciated. Highly, highly recommend this cabin. It was a perfectly relaxing week!
