Our family loved spending time exploring this gorgeous 100 acre property. The cabin is so charming and our daughters loved the “secret hideout” and I especially loved the bird watching!
We loved our stay. Host was super accommodating. We ended up staying longer because it was so peaceful and beautiful there. We highly recommend this rental.
Home was clean and well appointed. Gravel road and drive were better than expected and it was easy to get to town for sightseeing the battle monument, hiking and biking. We slept well and enjoyed the property.
The pictures of this place do not even do it justice. It was breathtaking. We had so much fun exploring Bennington during the day and returning to Big Sky to relax and enjoy the beautiful property. The house had everything we needed and more; the beds were so comfortable, and we enjoyed our time together. We will be back soon!
We absolutely loved our time here and are already planning a return trip! The land is absolutely breath taking, and the house is so cozy and was clearly decorated with so much care and love. The owner was also so kind and helpful! We highly recommend this rental.
Location is remote and peaceful, yet conveniently close enough to town. View is terrific. It's clear much thought has been put into the set-up, as basically everything we needed in the house was right there and easy to find.
Stunning location, surrounded by lush green fields filled with song birds, with great views. Comfortable, clean, well-appointed house. Attentive hosts. Reached by a several miles-long dirt road that is exceptionally well-maintained, so not particularly challenging for those not used to dirt roads, even though unlit.Nonetheless, arriving for the first time in the middle of the night is a bit of an adventure.

From the owner: "Thank you so much for your kind comment! We hope you come again. Vermont (and the cabin) has something breathtaking to offer for every season."
Perfection!! The sanctuary that greeting us nestled amongst the vast fields and forests was astounding!! The cabin was so exquisitely decorated and the outdoor bath is a MUST! We cannot wait to return!! Corine and Joe are the best hosts EVER!! We are eternally grateful to you both!!
We absolutely loved this place! We stayed a week and miss it already. The views were outstanding. Honestly just sitting on the deck and doing nothing else would have been just fine. We were a range of ages, and everybody was happy.
The house was incredible. The craftmanship was so unique and one of a kind. Had everything you need and the most comfortable beds!
Would highly recommend this place. Joe and Corine couldn't of been more helpful.
Looking forward to next year!
What a beautiful property this is. The owners have done a marvelous job outfitting the place with all of the comforts of home, including higher quality items. It is definitely a country house, so it’s on the rustic side in ways, but with this place it’s not about the house. When you see that view all the way to Mt Greylock in the morning your eyes won’t be anywhere but out the big windows. And there are 100 acres of pasture and forest for kids, dogs, and adults to explore. If you’re looking for that opportunity to get away from everything, look no further.
Lovely location. Lovely house. But the driveway was iced over and not shoveled nor salted when we arrived. I took too steps out of the car and even though I had on snow boots slid straight to the ground hurting my hip.

Thanks for your review, we're glad you enjoyed the cabin! We always strive to be available for our guests, but our records show we did not receive any communication from you during or after your stay. We wish you had reached out to the Guest Contact while in residence if there were any issues you needed to be addressed. We would have done everything we could to resolve them immediately. The homeowner was able to confirm the driveway was plowed twice the day before your arrival. The temperature dropped dramatically so icy conditions were possible, however, the plow person does sand when icy conditions are present. We are sorry to hear you fell and have since created a liability case to provide additional assistance if needed. We hope you were able to recover quickly. We appreciate your feedback as this homeowner is accustomed to providing guests with the 5-star service they are known for. We hope to host you again soon!
This was by far our favorite rental ever. The space is so gracious, comfortable, and warm. The energy here is spectacular and has some Jung special that is difficult to put into words. The view never gets old. The beds are fabulous. Soaking tubs inside and out. Cool breeze. Big sky. The plants and wildlife glorious. We spent hours and hours just walking the property with our dog and 8 year old. Very close to Bennington and other spots. I’m honestly ar a loss for words. The place is really special. Very clean and well appointed. Wonderful hosts and cleaner. Can’t wait to go back. Book it!
We recently spent the holidays at Big Sky Cabin, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Unlike the typical cabin kits found in artificial forests and tourist traps on zero lot line properties, Big Sky Cabin was legit a genuine solitude and an authentic mountain vaca. The amenities were rustic yet incredibly plentiful, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay while maintaining the charm of a true cabin experience. The owners were exceptional—always available and even provided their cell phone numbers, ensuring we felt supported throughout our visit.Staying with the family in a real cabin, nestled on a real mountain in the real woods, was refreshing and rejuvenating. The solitude was amazing, and the natural surroundings were breathtaking. Nights were serene and almost eerily peaceful in the best possible way, adding to the overall magic of the experience.I highly recommend Big Sky Cabin to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable retreat. If we ever return to Vermont, we will definitely seek out this property again for another wonderful stay.
My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs for 3 nights. The location is incredibly beautiful, peaceful and quiet. And the view is stunning. We had a great time exploring the incredible acreage. Based on the exact address, it took a bit longer to get into town than we thought. We ate out for all our meals, so it took a bit of coordinating to try and get everything we needed for the day to minimize the back and forth. The house was great, very spacious. Everything was nice and clean. A couple of lightbulbs were out, but not a big deal. The treats for the dogs and the fresh vegetables from the garden for us were a wonderful touch. Overall, we loved our stay here. It wasn’t a huge deal for us, but it’s important to note that a tiny home has recently been built on the property, which is viewable from the rental house. It’s not mentioned in the listing or shown in pictures.it didn’t impact our stay at all.
Words can't begin to describe the view from this beautifully crafted, lovingly decorated and cozy cabin. Nature truly envelops you at this piece of heaven - from the birds that raced us up the 1/4 mile dirt driveway, the croak of the bull frogs from the small pond beyond the field, the crickets that jump before your every step, to the deer that can be seen early in the morning snacking on the wild blueberries, this is a place to experience a break from the hustle and bustle of life and just "be". The beauty continues inside the cabin, where the woodwork and decor bring the beauty of the outdoors inside. The kichen was fully stocked, with a lovely assortment of spices, condiments, tea, coffee, and even several types of coffee makers for coffee lovers such as myself. The communication from the hosts was beyond expectations. Corine reached out several times before our stay, sharing an abundance of information on the cabin itself as well as the surrounding area. Recent improvements to the property include a relaxing outdoor tub/shower which was the perfect way to end the day of exploring the property and local area. The mattresses were the most comfortable we've slept in while away from home. The days were beautiful, with views of mountain ranges encompassing 3 states We barely left the property to explore the quaint town. The Apple Barn is highly recommended! Thank you to Corine and Joe for sharing this piece of heaven with us.
