Amazing property - pool was absolutely perfect. It’s a very short walk to a great playground and small beach. Grocery store near by and easy to get too! The house was perfect - no complaints :)The AC unit in each individual room was nice.

Dave is very welcoming and friendly, shared lots of clear guidance about the space and suggestions about the area as well. The chalet is lovely, spacious, well-equipped, gets great light, and is very quiet. Pool is delicious, and the nearest beach is a scant five minute walk from the chalet. Overall, very relaxing, welcoming, and a wonderful getaway.

Dave’s place in Barrie is a lovely Retreat. The space itself is impeccable - vaulted ceilings with large windows offering a view of the mature trees in the neighborhood. The unit itself included up-to-date appliances, and the kitchen was well equipped with utensils, plates, and cookware in addition to a large mixer, coffee, pot, and essentials, such as salt, pepper, and a few other seasonings. There is one and a half bathrooms, which was perfect for our stay and the shower was beautiful. The deck offered a perfect spot to view sunsets and had a gas fireplace which could be viewed from both the deck as well as the living area. Having a washer and dryer was a great bonus I was able to wash and dry most of my laundry before returning home. I would definitely stay here again if planning to travel to that area.

With over 30 years of using VRBO this has been one of the best places we have stayed! Great communication, well equipped kitchen, lovely decor, nice pool, super comfortable bed and excellent linens. A short walk to a small park and the beach and close to amenities such as shops and restaurants by car. We highly recommend this place.

It is a very finely built chalet and has all the most up to date tech and AC etc.Thoroughly enjoyed it we have family in Barrie and they were graciously allowed to visit with us there.5 Stars

Relaxing cottage stay

We had a great time at Dave's place. Clean, beautiful pool, 2 minute walk to a nice beach and close to restaurants and grocery store. On a colder day the TV was set up with lots of streaming options. Dave was a perfect host. Would stay again!

Beautiful place!

We loved spending the weekend at this chalet. Dave and Gwenaele were super friendly, and made sure that we were comfortable. The location is perfect, the beach is very close, there is also a great playground which our daughter loved, and overall the neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful.

Lovely property, friendly hosts, very welcoming. Easy to communicate back and forth. Only complaint we had was with the pool. While advertised as heated throughout the summer, when we arrived, it had not been brought up to temp. Host would heat it up in the morning, but once it hit temp, he turned off the heater and the temp declined. My young grandsons wanted to be in the pool all day, and as it cooled off, it became too cold to stay on as long as they wanted. Also my daughter wanted to swim in the evenings, but that wasn't possible as the pool was too cold by then. I recommend communicating expectations clearly before your stay, if you are. Planning to use the pool.

Thanks for your feedback. One important fact is that after 12 years of faithful life, our pool pump unfortunately decided to give out the morning of your arrival while I was starting the heater. It was quickly replaced and up and running the next day, but took a while to get it back up to 80 degrees because the weather was unseasonably cool during part of your stay. Two days were impacted by this and got things off to a cooler start than normal, which we really regret. We did offer to start the fireplace in the chalet due to the cool temperatures at the time. We could tell that you were irritated about the whole thing, but we really did try hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We're happy that it seemed like your family had a really nice time overall judging by the laughter in the pool, and we hope you come back another time. We wish you all the best and hope to see you again next summer, like many of our repeat family visitors!

Great little chalet!

We rented this chalet for a weekend with friends and it was perfect. The owner was friendly and welcoming, and gave us all the information we needed well in advance. The chalet is new, stylish, and comfortable. It's close to all the Barrie attractions but still feels very private, like you're up in cottage country. We had a great time, thank you very much!

Lovely and well equipped stay

The accommodation is beautifully designed and very comfortable for a family stay. We really enjoyed the extras of the balcony and pool. Inside the house, there are lots of very nice extras such as coffee etc Dave was a very helpful host. Thank you.

Tree enclave

Everything was excellent. The communication with the host was very good and fast. The place was very clean, beautifully decorated, and tastefully arranged. We really enjoyed our stay at the chalet. Dave is a great host who was available at any time to answer our questions. The nearby beach is very clean and well maintained with great views of the water. The stay at the chalet was outstanding! The attention to detail in the property made it beautiful to relax in as well as the host’s thoughtfulness with all the little extras they provided. On top of that, Dave kept the pool clean for us and both of their welcoming manner and friendliness made this a really wonderful trip. We would return every year if we lived closer! Cozy & Comfy Chalet

My family and I cannot say enough great things about the Chalet. The property is finished to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean. We were in Barrie for a training camp, and the Chalet was a wonderful, cozy home to rest & relax. The kitchen contained everything we needed to prepare simple meals. Located a few minutes walk from Tyndale Park on Lake Simcoe, the Chalet is in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts, Dave and Gwen, are warm and welcoming.
