Cold, filthy, & no way out

The stay was non-refundable from the moment we booked. Turns out, we were only able to stand staying for 2 of the 9 nights we paid for. We wouldn't have stayed more than the 1st night, but after spending so much money, we tried. We arrived on a super cold night (13°) at 3:30 in the morning. There were no lights on so that we could see the unit easily & it was 53° inside the unit. We froze that night because we couldn't find the thermostat in the dark. In the light of day we saw that the place was really dirty. The kitchen was filthy & greasy with dried food on dining chairs, under the table & in the fridge and microwave. One bedroom had dirty towels left in it. It was also not sufficiently stocked. For a 10 day stay for 4 adults, they left 2 spare rolls of tp & no extra rolls of paper towels. There was a keurig coffee maker, but no coffee pods, although we wouldn't have used them because the kitchen was too grimy. There was no access to cleaning supplies & tools to make the place livable. Thankfully, some friends in the area invited us to stay at their house so we didn't fork out more money to stay at someplace acceptable.
