Stunning views of the mountains and only a few feet away from the River. Enjoy fishing, hiking and only 10 minuets from Down Town Durango. The ski resort is an easy 35 minuet drive. The Home is spacious with an open layout. The master bedroom features a fireplace, a large ensuite with a private deck and an oversized walk in closet. The second main floor bedroom has a private bath and walk in closet. The loft area expands the width of the main floor with a trundle bed, bathroom and walk in closet. The loft has plenty of room for additional guest to sleep. Elaborate kitchen make cooking for your family gatherings a breeze. Located next to the kitchen is a half bath, mudroom with washer/dryer. You will find plenty of seating for dining at the table along with kitchen bar seating. The back deck runs the length of the home with plenty of outdoor seating. This place is amazing! We were so impressed by how nice and big the cabin was. It having air conditioning was a huge perk in the summer, and the views are amazing with the river right there. There is plenty of nice furniture outside to relax and enjoy the river (our experienced fisherman even caught some trout right outside)! There are two bed rooms downstairs and a loft upstairs, it had plenty of room for our family of 8 (and plenty of bathrooms, which is a miracle for our family). One tip is that if you are someone who likes to sleep in, bring a sleep mask because there are no curtains, which we enjoyed so we could always see the amazing view out of the big windows! Thank you for a great stay, we hope to be back one day!

Family trip

House was perfect for family vacation. House provided us with a great place to relax after days at Purgatory and site seeing around town. Home was as advertised and provided us with a rare opportunity for generations to make memories and enjoy time together. Will definitely consider staying here again during summer to enjoy the other great opportunities the property offers outside.

It was everything I imagined.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was warm and welcoming. The decor was amazing. There was plenty of room for the family to be together and relax. We loved listening to the water running in the creek behind the house. We would love to come back again.

Enjoyed the escape from Texas heat

We had a great time in this beautiful cabin. Enjoyed hearing the river sounds steps from the back deck. Home was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals. Cabin was within about 20 minutes from downtown Durango. We enjoyed family time with daughter, son in law and the grandkids.

A Piece of Colorado Paradise

This VRBO property met all our expectations. The home is beautifully furnished, comfortable, and conveniently located. The back deck offers relaxation in a natural setting for all ages to enjoy. The owner answered all of our questions promptly prior to our arrival. Needless to say, our Colorado vacation was a great success and we would not hesitate to stay at this Durango property again.

Wonderful house and location.

We so enjoyed the location, house and especially the river. Waking up to the view from the large windows in the bedrooms. Wonderful views all throughout the log house. House is well supplied with things needed. Location perfect for the places we wanted to visit. Excellent communication. Thank you. Loved it!!!

We Live in Kansas and enjoy every year spending time in Colorado. We purchased this home to get away with family and friends. Durango is amazing with such a neat downtown with shopping, art studios and great dining. We enjoy outdoor sports and love being a short drive away from the Slopes

Why they chose this property

We bought this home because we wanted a true log home. We loved the idea of being right on the river and having the mountains as our backdrop. The layout of the home is open but yet so cozy with the massive fireplace. This home fit all of our needs with the updates and open floorpan, expansive windows and large kitchen.
