Had a great stay at this beautiful lake house. Got to use the kayaks and canoes and went fishing and just hung out with beautiful views of the lake. The house was very big and roomy and had everything we needed. Thanks Val and Pam!
We found a piece of heaven on earth. This is a beautifully appointed log cabin house on a lovely lake. There is a small playground across the street and a sandy beach one house down the road. It is peaceful and tranquil. Our small children loved watching the ducks, badger, and squirrels. They were happy watering the garden, trying to catch minnows, and running on the lawn. The adults loved sitting looking at the lake, swimming, and looking forward to kayaking on our next visit. We hope to return next year for another three generation visit. Val, our host, was gracious and helpful at every turn. Thank you!

Mary-
Thank you for the lovely review. Pam and I always appreciate hearing from guests who appreciate the cabin and the lake.
Please do return. Be well,
Val and Pam
We could not have chosen a more perfect home for our trip. Saying that a place is magical sounds so cliche but it truly is. To be able to sit on the dock, make a fire and just enjoy each other's company was wonderful. The view is incredible. We never turned on the tv because the sound of the water and the birds was all that was needed. The home is not only charming but it's spotless. The kitchen is so well stocked that we cooked dinner twice and ate outside at the picnic bench with an outdoor fire going. The owners are lovely, their communication was timely and they had great suggestions for sightseeing, markets and restaurants. We felt as if we were staying at the home of a dear friend and we are already planning our next stay there.
This is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful spot, right on a lake, with canoes and kayaks right there. The property is kept up really nicely. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet peaceful retreat, just minutes from the Rhode Island beaches.
We enjoyed every minute at this charming cabin located lakefront on Indian Lake. The owners were so communicative and made check in and out easy and welcoming. The cabin has everything you could possibly need and is comfortable, clean and cute! The dock is perfect for fishing, swimming and launching boats that the owners have supplied. There’s a large grass with area with Adirondack chairs for relaxing, a fireplace, and a picnic table for enjoying the outdoors. We had an excellent experience and can’t wait to return!
If you are looking for a fun, relaxing vacation in Rhode Island, do yourself a favor and rent this cabin. It is the complete package - whether you want to play in Indian Lake and swim, use the kayaks, floats, and toys, or just sit in the Adirondack chairs or on the dock and relax and watch the sunsets, it's all there. The location is perfect for exploring all the beaches and restaurants in South County or taking a short ride to Newport or Providence. The cabin is well stocked and is extremely comfortable. I also can't say enough good things about Val and Pam. They are easily accessible by email or phone and very helpful. This is our second time renting this cabin and we are looking forward to another great vacation there in the coming years.
Quote according to our granddaughter, (5). After a year and a half of isolation and home schooling we needed some fun, real family fun. We found it here. The cabin is cozy and the gardens are plentiful. The kitchen is well stocked for all your cooking needs. Great yard for kids to play and the waterfront is more than inviting. A small sandy beach is next store and perfect for toddlers and young children. Great sunsets are lovely for the end of day.
State beaches are only a few miles away. We could not have enjoyed ourselves more.
My family stayed at the cabin to celebrate my son’s Graduation. It was a older quaint cabin that was very cozy and very clean. The location was remarkable. The property was on the most beautiful lake with all amenities for a great time. There were kayaks fishing poles croquet tubes etc. we did not want to leave the property. The sunsets were gorgeous. I am definitely going to plan another trip back to the cabin. My entire family loved it as well. Val and Pam are a pleasure to work with. They are extremely accommodating and are very helpful in making your trip enjoyable.
Fantastic property, beautiful neighborhood and a wonderful variety of lake related activities to enjoy. The cottage is well equipped for enjoying recreational activities. Quiet and peaceful.
Pam and Val's cabin on the lake was truly perfect for our family vacation. The house itself is incredibly charming--rustic in decor, and with all the amenities you need. The kitchen is small, but more stocked than any other rental I have ever stayed! They have ALL the cooking and serving equipment you could ever need! The master bedroom is large, and the other two are small, but perfectly fine. A beautiful sunroom with great lake views.
The property itself is incredible. Right on the lake with a short fence on the border, which was great for us as we have a little toddler and felt safe with him running around in the backyard. You have your own dock, kayaks, floats and many other fun lake 'toys.' One house over is a sandy beach--perfect for little ones. Can get a little noisy in the back of the house with kids swimming at that beach, but it is worth it for the convenience of being able to walk a few steps to get there. A playground right across the street is also great for kids.
The house is 10 - 20 - 30 minutes away from various cute towns where you can walk around, hit ocean beaches and grab a bite. All very convenient.
We have a great time!
My family and I rented this cabin at the end of June for 6 nights and had a wonderful stay. The lake was gorgeous and warm, we loved how close we were to the water and could swim/kayak as often as we liked. The house is very cozy and charming, equipped with almost everything you would need. The upstairs sleeping quarters were quite tight and better suited for smaller children, but other than that the other sleeping quarters were very comfortable. We never felt the need leave the cottage even though beaches were close by. We would love to come back again next summer!
P.S. the local fish market is fabulous!
We recently stayed at Val and Pam's beautiful lakeside cottage while attending a wedding nearby. I can't say enough good things. Val and Pam were very prompt, clear and helpful about all communications. The house was so perfect for our group and a dip in the lake was a real treat. We will be back :)
We loved our time here! The house was bigger than we thought and comfortably accommodated our family of 6! There were so many places to sit and relax and enjoy the lake views! There were so many details attended to that made the time even more enjoyable including the kayaks, canoes, games, fishing gear, floating chairs, and so much more. Close to shopping and great beaches. It is clear the owners take pride in their home! They were very helpful and a pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend their home for anyone looking for a great place to vacation!
This property was amazing! The lake is beautiful and very peaceful. There are kayaks, row boats, tubes and yard games. The house is stocked with everything you could need. The location is perfect, very close to the beaches and many great restaurants. The owners are very quick to respond and wonderful to work with. This is a vacation we won't ever forget!

Tranquillity Base here ....
Step back in time with this log cabin just a few steps from the water. Don't assume "cabin" means small. This cabin has room for everyone. Same is true outside with plenty of yard space. Vacation on the quiet side next summer.

The perfect cabin in the perfect location
We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent at this wonderful cabin on the lake. We stayed over Labor Day weekend and only left the property twice and that was just for quick runs to the grocery store. The rest of the time we were on kayaks, floaters, swimming, napping on the hammock, and playing cards in the back yard overlooking the lake. Our two girls loved climbing off the dock into the crystal clear water. Everything we needed was already there: all cooking accessories, games, books, a speaker for music. It really was perfect. Our only regret is not booking for a longer stay but Now we know for next time! Pam and Val communicated everything to us and made sure we could just focus on relaxing.

great week despite early rain and humidity!
We had a great week - VERY humid, but the Ocean helped out on a few of those days! -
house was exactly as promised and worked out wonderfully. A little "Low Clearance" in the loft, but was perfect for sleeping two of the kids. Lake was perfect as well.

It's hard to believe, but the lake and home were even more beautiful than in the photos. We loved getting away from the city... we spent our mornings on the dock sipping coffee and our afternoons swimming and canoeing nearby.
Can't wait to return :)

About the host
Hosted by Val and Pam
Why they chose this property
Lakefront is all about watching the water- when you get up, when you have your coffee on the dock, on the patio, and sitting watching the sunset over the lake. Water in front of you all the time.
What makes this property unique
There is nothing like a swim at the beach and then coming home to a swim at the lake. In fact, sometimes you never want to leave the lake- swim, kayak, fish, and just relax and watch the sunset.
