Our stay was great, the cabin is so beautiful and in such a great location. Would definitely stay here again, we visited with a group of friends and got to enjoy the view outside while we grilled and then made s'mores by the firepit.
This is a charming home in a countryside setting - no mountain view. The cabin was spacious, comfortable and cozy. The master suite was large and spacious. It is nice to have a bath for each bedroom. It is wonderful to be just a few minutes away from great hiking at Doughton Park.Guest should be aware that there is a half-mile, narrow, dirt/gravel road to reach the house. The kitchen is a bit small if the house is fully occupied. There is no dishwasher. The ice maker and water dispenser in the fridge did not work. There were empty ice cube trays in the freezer, but it would have been nice if some of these had been filled so that we could have had ice shortly after arrival. There was a mistake (typo?) in the information provided about the Wi-Fi network, which caused us a brief frustration, but was soon resolved. Though the house was clean, 3 out of 4 lightbulbs were burned out in one bathroom, and the fan light not working in the master bath. The hot tub felt great after long hikes, but the temperature was set at only 88 degrees when we arrived so it took a while for it to warm up.
The cabin is very spacious and setup well. The hot tub was clean and ready to use upon arrival. Stacey made sure I had everything I needed before I arrived. I will definitely stay again but I will book through their website instead of giving VRBO some of my money.
