Welcome to Bahia Vista A23 - Avalon Condo

Two bedroom, two bath condo located on the second floor, accessed by elevator (991 SF). Open floor plan with lots of character - a nautical theme throughout. Pleasant view of the hillside and town from the inside of property and small, standing room only balcony. A wood burning fireplace in living room and fully equipped kitchen with new granite counter tops. Tile flooring.
*Three night minimum.*

Additional features: There are two roll away twin beds for extra sleep. This property can be accessed without climbing any steps by entering through the garage gate, walking to Elevator A and taking it to the third floor (garage key needs to be requested at the office). This is a one level condo that offers a walk-in shower and lever door handles.

This condo also offers the following features: 36” wide doors to master bedroom and both bathrooms for better wheelchair accessibility; grab bars and suction-cup, skid-resistant floor mats for shower and bath tub; a shower bench and toilet hand support (both normally stored in closet); and smooth floors.

***Bahia Vista pool has re-opened. Hours of operation: 9am-9pm daily. The jacuzzi is only heated during the weekends (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) until Memorial weekend. Both pool and jacuzzi will be heated from Memorial weekend to Labor Day and during Thanksgiving and Christmas break.**
This property is in a residential community and is only suitable for quieter groups.
NO smoking, NO parties/events. NO pets allowed per HOA rules.
You must be 25+ years old to rent this property. No daytime visitors allowed.

Catalina Vacation

This property was very clean . The beds could use some pads , but they were comfortable enough . Everything is close in Avalon so walking isn’t an issue.

Property definitely did the job, it was close to everything, and the size of the place was perfect for our group of 5. The master toilet did not work, and the apartment had no A/C. It was a nice stay, and I would stay again.

Property was nice. Kitchen was beautiful. View was lovely. Loved the nautical theme. Certain things weren't provided, like hand soap, etc. Because it is a condo and not a hotel, not all neighbors are tourists. Therefore you have to be mindful of noise. There are signs all over about their "quiet time after 10 p.m." policy

No air circulation, furniture falling apart

Needs new furniture, sinking seats wicker chairs and sofa. Bedding sheets for role always hard to find. Some bedding stained. Neighborhood noise high due to windows facing street. Building made without air conditioning. Hot all night even though the outside temperature was cooler than indoors. Pool and hot tube under maintenance construction, office lied when directly asked. Would have chosen different location if knew the truth. Floors uneven, caused furniture to lean. Guest room had front exterior light shining directly into room. Clean and functional restrooms. Kitchen was usable to a minimum.

Pros and Cons

The condo met expectations: cute nautical decor; spacious; clean, very comfy and well maintained. However, there were a few disappointments: the unit had no air conditioning which caused nighttime indoor temperatures to be between 73-75 degrees-too hot for good sleeping conditions. I would never recommend a unit facing the street as ours was. Because of the heat, we had to keep windows open at night with fans going. Loud golf carts bombed down the street and boisterous vacationers were carrying on well after midnight. This unit is also just above the condo entrance where loud parties seem to gather late at night. I would not rent this particular unit again.

Nice Location

Great location. Quiet. Elevator was great to have for alll our stuff. Unfortunately the box fans and 1 ceiling fan weren't enough to cool the condo. The front bedroom was missing screens so we didn't feel comfortable having the window open.

One very tired Bahia Vista unit

We have stayed at Bahia Vista units for 30+ years. This unit had three coffee mugs, no water glasses, limited flatware. The carpet in the primary bedroom was so dirty that your feet were black after walking across it. Way too much unnecessary decor and furniture.

Terrible stay we ended up not staying another night. It was gross

Property was a mess guest bathroom all the Fossetts were in the tub and not properly connected the sink . The sink was leaking from the bottom my kids tripped over the water in the bathroom. Master bedroom on the nightstand lamp the glass was broken and all over the nightstand and my kids were touching it. Kitchen not properly cleaned stains on the refrigerator dirty cups in the shelf.
