Amenities include gourmet kitchen, 55" Samsung TV, electric fire place with blue tooth. Two bedrooms have king side bed, and one bedroom queen and twin bed ideal for children. Located at Fernie Alpine Resort, your minutes away from mountain bike trails and the ski hill, or a short drive to access world class fly fishing and hiking in the summer to world class skiing at the Resort, and direct access to cross country skiing trails, snowshoeing or a short drive to access sledding/snowmobiling in the Winter.

Beautiful property and location. The property was spacious, clean and had many amenities. Chris recommended some hiking trails nearby which were beautiful. It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay. We are hoping to return in the winter to do some skiing.

Serene Mountain Escape

We had an amazing stay. The property was beautiful, clean, and accurately listed. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with the tools/equipment to make any kind of meal we would have wanted to on vacation. The location was perfect, the views were breathtaking, and the neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful. We are already looking to book our next stay!

Best spot aty Fernie mountain

This place is amazing! The house is perfect for a family of four with three separate bedrooms and plenty of space in the kitchen and living room. Also has a hot tub right outside the back door which was great after a day of skiing. The location was perfect and is about .75 km from parking at the base. I would love to stay here again!

Great place! 5 of us went on a skidoo trip. Clean warm good location. And the owners were awesome! Had a beer in the fridge for us when we arrived and gave great tips of things to do and eat around fernie. Would highly recommend.

The luxury vrbo you have been searching ages for!

Chris and Kelly are fabulous hosts. Their house is fully stocked with everything you need for a short or longer stay! It’s clean and tidy, a smooth easy check in process, and the communication that they provide is amazing. The bed is comfortable and they have blackout curtains so the early morning sunshine doesn’t want you up! The hottub was checked regularly during our stay to ensure it was clean and clear. Throughout our stay we had both Chris & Kelly check in on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. You have beautiful mountain views from every window in the home and daily wildlife sightings! This truly is a little paradise in the mountains!

Nice house but not as peaceful as we’d hoped

Overall, we had a nice visit here. The house is clean & well appointed. Perhaps our fault, but it was not clear to me that this is a downstairs suite in a house lived in by the owners. They were upstairs during our stay, and spent a lot of time on the second floor deck. This made our outside time feel less than private. The yard felt off limits since it was directly under their deck and barking dog. The owners made their presence known frequently, including mowing the yard directly outside our open windows and next to our very small deck, working in the yard, having contractors do work on the house, and contacting us about little things. To say this rental has “beautiful Mountain views off private deck” is a bit of a stretch. The suite has a small front porch in direct sunlight from which you can see the other rental houses across the road. Any real views are help by the owners from their top deck on the opposite side. The unit has a Ring doorbell on the front door, directly next to the small sitting area, so any illusion of privacy is broken by the feeling of being watched and heard by the owners. There is a hot tub, which was a nice touch. But it was cold and cloudy when we arrived - the owners helped with chemicals and changing the heat. Lastly - future renters should know this about the area - it is a MAJOR construction zone. It’s at the start of a new development where heavy equipment is constantly on the roads building new roads and homes. Dusty, loud & not peaceful.

Chris and his wife Kelly have been skiing in Fernie for over 20 years, and recently built our house and private guest suite. We love the outdoors including mountain biking, hiking and fly fishing and skiing and sledding in the winter. We are avid travelers and surfed in Costa Rica, El Savador and Mexico and skied in Europe and Japan.

Why they chose this property

We live on a corner lot and have nearly a 360 degree view of the mountains. The neighbors are all outdoor enthusiasts and very friendly.

What makes this property unique

Our property has a private drive way, covered deck with unobstructed mountain views. Guest have direct access to a hot tub off the deck, or can chill out and enjoy the views on the covered patio. You are minutes away from jumping on the chair lift, or to trails to cross country ski, snow shoe or hike. There are groomed trails to ski directly to the house.
