This is a cozy home with garage on the Hudson River only 1.2 miles from downtown North Creek and about 5 minutes from Gore Mountain Ski Center. Located on a low-traffic road, the home is comfortably secluded but close to all conveniences. The road is perfect for walking or running or perhaps a bike ride. The house is furnished and equipped with everything you need to feel right at home--wi-fi, Directv, washer-dryer, dishwasher, fully equipped kitchen. No need to worry about the weather. The home has a generator and an attached garage perfect for storing your car and ski gear. Enjoy your morning coffee while watching the Hudson River flow by.
The Adirondack area is a great place to visit in the Fall Season also. This is what a September guest had to say about Home on the Hudson and North Creek area. "We felt so comfortable as soon as we walked in the door, super clean, everything you need for your stay! The view of the river with the changing leaves was beautiful. This home is centrally located to so many wonderful scenic sites as well as close to Main Street in North Creek with great restaurants like Marsha's and Chrissy's as well as the rail bike at Revolution Rail Company. This is a location I will visit again soon and would love to rent this home again as the owner's are very friendly and accomodating! Thank you for a great stay!"

I can’t praise this vrbo property enough. Everything from the cleanliness, location, relaxation, prompt response from Helene.Thank you for the use of your beautiful property. We’ve stayed at many cribs and this one had everything we needed and more! Can’t praise the cleaning crew enough! Make sure you stop by the railroad museum and take the the drive to High Falls Gorge.
We stayed at the property for 3 nights on a trip to ski at Gore Mountain. Great location, property was clean and well-appointed. Beautiful with the river at the end of the yard. Communication with the owner was easy and she was very responsive. We had a great time.

Lovely property in a great location. Near town, but woth a real feel for being in the woods. The road was little traveled and great for walks along the river
The property is very well maintained and spotless clean. It has everything you need. I stayed with my 8-year-old son; he wanted to live there. It's very comfortable, and the location was perfect! Helene helped with everything I needed, and her message response time was very prompt. We will definitely come back very soon. Great stay!
This is a lovely cottage, on a quiet street overlooking the Hudson. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are great. We stayed here to explore the mountains. It was wonderful.

Great spot.
Met or exceeded our expectations. Good value and great location. Very cozy.
Such a great property to stay in! Very clean and comfortable, all the kitchen amenities you want, and so close to Gore Mountain! The view of the river was beautiful, too. Helene was a wonderful host, great communication and care for us during our stay! We are definitely booking with her again :)
Love, love, love this place. The house is perfect as is the view. North Creek is stunning. There are things to do around this area to keep you busy if you want, or just stay in and relax. Just what I was looking for in a vacation.
We really enjoyed our 5 day stay here. Everything was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of pamphlets to choose from for things to do in the area, as well as personal notes about local businesses and points of interest. The renters were very helpful and answered our questions quickly and knowledgeably.
We stayed at the Home on the Hudson for our ski vacation. The place had everything we needed, was very clean and neat as a pin. We had everything we needed to cook meals after a long day of skiing, laundry if needed, cleaning supplies and personal care products in the bathroom. The host was very engaging to ensure that our stay was pleasant. The view of the Hudson River was very pretty and relaxing to watch. We would definitely stay there again.
The house was ready for us, and perhaps the cleanest property that I have stayed at. Helene was very helpful, and approachable for anything that might have come up. It was our first time in the North Creek area, and it is likely that we will be back!

About the host
Hosted by Helene Goodman
I was born and brought up in North Creek. I graduated from Johnsburg Central School and worked as a secretary there until my retirement in 2000. My husband and I live next door in the home we share with our 2 cats. We have 2 grown children, 3 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. My son is a silent partner in our business but you may occasionally hear from him if I can't respond to an email in a timely fashion.
Why they chose this property
We built this house in 1995 for my husband's parents so we could take care of them, which we did until spring of 2016. We have given the house a facelift and hope our guests love it as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
We built the home at this location because of the beautiful view of the Hudson River and because this is a very rural area yet close to town. There is a beautiful view from both the living room and kitchen/dining areas. It is not unusual to see deer and turkeys and on rare occasions other wildlife wandering in the front or back of the house.
