About this property

Beachfront Bliss - Opposite Onetangi Beach

Summary:

Directly across the coastal road from Onetangi Beach, Beachfront Bliss is a two-bedroom 1950s cottage with uninterrupted sea views and no houses between the home and the water. Sleeping four, it has a super-king bedroom, twin king-single room, full kitchen, Smart TV, air conditioning, sheltered sea-facing deck with BBQ, onsite parking and four beach towels.

The Space:

Beachfront Bliss is a refreshed two-bedroom 1950s cottage positioned directly across the coastal road from Onetangi Beach. There are no houses between the property and the beach, providing uninterrupted views across Onetangi Bay from the living areas and front deck.

The open-plan living, dining and kitchen area faces the water. The lounge includes a feather-filled sofa and cane armchairs, while the dining table seats up to six guests.

A Smart TV is provided in the living area.

The full kitchen includes generous meal-preparation facilities, a Bosch dishwasher and a Breville Barista-style coffee machine. The coffee machine uses whole coffee beans, which are not supplied.

Sliding doors connect the living area with the sheltered front deck. The deck has cushioned loungers and a BBQ, with direct views across the coastal road to the beach.

Beachfront dining options within the Onetangi area include Ki Māha, Charlie Farley’s and Three Seven Two.

Four Square Onetangi and Liquorland Onetangi are nearby for groceries, drinks and everyday supplies.

Vineyards and dining venues in the wider Onetangi area include Stonyridge, Tantalus Estate, Te Motu, Wild Estate, Casita Miro and The Heke.

Getting Around:

Regular buses run from Onetangi into Oneroa and continue on to the Matiatia passenger ferry, stopping near major wineries including Tantalus, Stonyridge, and The Heke. With a bus stop less than a minute’s walk from the house, exploring without a car is simple. Taxis are available but can be costly, so buses are a practical option. Onsite parking and car hire are available for guests who prefer to drive.

Other Things to Note:

This is a self-catered holiday home, not a fully catered stay. We provide a starter supply of essentials such as toilet paper, coffee, tea, and milk to help you settle in on arrival. Once these starter items have been used, guests are responsible for purchasing any additional supplies needed during their stay.

For properties with a fireplace, stays between 1 June and 30 September include a starter supply of firewood. Additional firewood can be purchased from local petrol stations, Woolworths, Four Square, and Mitre 10.

Beach towels are provided at this property x 4

Waiheke relies entirely on rainwater tanks, and water is a limited natural resource on the island. To support sustainable living and protect local supply, especially during the drier summer months, we ask guests to be mindful of their water use throughout their stay.

Minimum stays apply:

7 nights mid-December to mid-January

3 nights on long weekends

Our team is available 7 days a week from 8:30am to 5:00pm. For life-threatening emergencies, please call 111. For urgent property issues outside office hours, such as fire, flooding, or lockouts, an after-hours number will be provided
