About this property
The Nest: Cosy Bliss in Beechworth
Welcome to The Nest, a cozy A-frame style cottage with a separate studio, tucked in a quiet spot overlooking the Beechworth Gorge. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, light the fire, and enjoy the best of Beechworth’s nature and historic charm.
What you’ll love
• Peaceful location – private and quiet, yet only a 15 minute scenic walk (or a quick drive) into Beechworth’s town centre.
• Two spaces included – the main cottage plus The Little Nest studio with its own kitchenette and sofa bed, perfect for extra guests, a workspace, or teenagers needing their own space.
• Comfortable layout – Comfortable layout - 3 bedrooms in the main house (queen downstairs, king upstairs with balcony views that can convert to two long singles, and a seperate room with two singles)
• Character & charm – slate floors, rustic A-frame style, spa bath, and both indoor and outdoor fireplaces (starter pack of wood supplied April–October).
• Pet-friendly (with fee) with an enclosed secure area for your pup at the rear of the Little Nest.
• Close to wineries and walking trails – ideal for a weekend away.
Things to keep in mind
We want to be upfront about a few quirks, so you arrive with the right expectations:
• One bathroom shared by all guests (with spa bath and toilet).
• Hot water – totally adequate if the property isn’t overbooked and showers aren’t too long.
• No oven or washing machine – though there’s a laundromat in town and plenty of dining options nearby. An outdoor BBQ is provided.
• Rustic setting – cupboards are locked for storage, and being in the country, you may occasionally see insects (we treat and manage regularly).
• Best for smaller groups – while it sleeps up to 6 in the main house plus 2 in the studio, the living area is most comfortable for a group of 4–6. With the one bathroom we suggest not overbooking.
What guests say
⭐ “Fantastic spot – quiet, beautiful, and only a short walk into town.”
⭐ “Lovely cottage with great fires for winter and plenty of character.”
⭐ “Perfect for families – the little annex was great as a separate space.”
⭐ “Spacious and peaceful – ideal for a weekend getaway near the wineries.”
