This is a beautiful cottage! Love the fact it is out of the hustle and bustle of Alex Bay but a close enough drive in for groceries and what not. Love the open living space and sleeps so many! Grandkids love the yard and dock area by the river. This is a perfect vacation spot on the river.

What a beautiful cottage! Very clean! Love how many beds there were! Could fit my family of 9 very comfortably! Love the open floor plan! The walk down and back from the river was a little steep but we made sure we had everything we needed before we spent the day at the dock. Loved the big yard and fire pit area! I would highly recommend this cottage!

Great weekend!

My brother and sister and I met here with our spouses/partners for a getaway weekend. We had a great time. Everyone loved the house, and the view of the river and the passing boats was amazing! The only thing we would have changed is that we waited to late in the season and we weren't able to visit Boldt Castle!

Let me start by saying that my family and I have been coming to the 1000 island region since 1998. We have rented many properties during our stays and I have to say this rental is by far the nicest inside and out.The house has the most beautiful view, especially during the sunsets. We had a total of 13 people staying at the house between adults and various ages of kids. There was plenty of room to sleep, play and relax for everyone. The house is furnished with anything you need. I didn’t have to bring anything from home except beach towels. The house was very clean and the property is well maintained. The fire pit is fantastic and there was plenty of wood for fires. The dock area was great to just get in the water and swim. We also rented a pontoon boat that we kept at the dock with no issues. We had 1 small problem with the dock and it was fixed right away. It is a bit of a walk to the dock from the house, but we all managed just fine. 2 of my family members had a little bit of a struggle, but they just took their time going down and then back up.The arrival and departure instructions were very clear. Communication was excellent. We will definitely be returning in the future.I highly recommend this property for your vacation!!

This property is a special place. It has lovely grounds on "the river". We rented a boat and enjoyed the dock and cruising the river. Also loved using the fire pit in the evenings watching the gorgeous sunsets. I have stayed in a number of rentals throughout my life but the supplies in this one tops them all. Not much was needed except for your food, Price Chopper 15 mins away. The layout was perfect for my brothers family staying downstairs and myself, husband, sister and mom staying upstairs. My mom really enjoyed just staying in the back room all day watching the action on the river. The view is fabulous. It was truly a wonderful week, thank you!

Nice rental home!!

We loved the location and size of this property. It fit our family group of 7 adults well. The whole house A/C was a marvelous bonus as we had a beautiful but hot week with minimal breezes. We were told ahead of time that the walk down to the water required exertion-,I would amend that to state heavy exertion! As a result, we rarely went down the hill(s) more than a couple of times, and ended up trailering our boats to the Chippewa Bay launch daily, because carrying our towels/fishing gear/coolers up and down the hills was just too much. A couple of suggestions- both lower level basement bedrooms were large and spacious, but the beds (1 queen, 1 futon) were like sleeping on cardboard boxes. I would strongly suggest replacing both, there is more than adequate space for king beds in both rooms. Also, counter space at the main sink counter is very very limited, and we struggled with washing dishes and pans with7 adults for dinner. Perhaps a sturdy table or counter extension at the end so that the microwave could be moved there, and give a badly needed two more feet of usable counter space. Other than that, the house is generously supplied with bathroom toiletries, and cleaning products as well as coffee filters/kcups and coffee-mate. We especially enjoyed the sun room and the outside deck.

Great Communication, Excellent property and bucolic waterfront location. From the minute I made my late in the season reservation all communication was prompt and seamless. After perfect access info, settling in and a phenomenal sunset on our first night, we started to note an issue with an appliance in the house. Leslie responded quickly and resolved the issue within a very reasonable time without interrupting our family vacation. Having such a situation occur was unfortunate and inconvenient for both us, the guests and the owners, yet the response and resolution was wonderful. The property itself has more to offer than we could even use in our five days there. The two-level layout and abundance of bedrooms allowed all our family members to have spaces that worked for when we wanted to be together or apart. The large, enclosed sunroom with floor to ceiling windows and its amazing views of the river and the passing shipping vessels also offered our group a unique opportunity to satisfy two disparate yet simultaneous indoor evening activities. While half of us were in the living/dining area watching, rooting and cheering for an Indiana Fever basketball game, the other half held a dance glow party in the sunroom for the small children in our group. The room could be totally dark and is nearly soundproof and doubled as our karaoke bar later in the evening after the youngsters were asleep. It was like being able to “go out” while you are home. This was a serendipitous and aweso
