Beautiful location, but tap water is undrinkable

The location of this home is absolutely stunning, with 180 degree views. The house is spacious and the top floor has lots of light. However, the well is infiltrated with sea water and is not drinkable, and should be disclosed ahead of time.

This is our second stay on Lt. Island but our first at this property. Lovely home perched atop a hill affording water views. Home very much like the pictures. Would suggest the home isnt great for toddlers - no gates to deck’s stairs or interior spiral staircase. As other reviews mention the well water is brackish, but plenty of bottled water is provided. The a/c is just window units - so the home can get quite warm on the upper level on sunny afternoons.

Views were very good. Lots of bugs, ants, crickets, inside and mosquitoes outside. Tap water undrinkable and smelly , showers are unpleasant little hot water. Big surprise- the house is obviously collapsing into the ocean due to huge beach erosion. Go for the view but don’t stay long.

I’m so glad you enjoyed the amazing views from Seaside Sunset—they truly make this home a special place to unwind. I also wanted to share that we’ve just added a hot tub so future guests can relax while soaking in that incredible scenery. I’m sorry to hear about the concerns you mentioned. I didn’t hear from you during your stay, but I’m always happy to address any maintenance issues right away if guests reach out. Because this home is nestled in the dunes, a few bugs are common in the summer, though we do our best to keep them at a minimum. For drinking water, we provide fresh Poland Springs deliveries weekly, as the tap water in the area can have a natural salty taste. We just installed last weekend a $1500 water filtration system to combat that as well. While the home is 75ft to the shoreline, it’s not at risk of collapsing—beach erosion is monitored closely, and the property remains safe and stable.  The bay does not have the same problem with erosion that the Oceanside does. I appreciate your feedback and will continue to keep the home in great condition for future guests. I’d love the chance to host you again so you can fully enjoy everything Seaside Sunset offers. Great location

Overall the house was in a great location. You can only access the beach if it is low tide. You have to time it correctly or there is no beach at all. Please note that the water coming from the shower and the sink is completely salty. Bring plenty of water for coffee and drinking. Especially to make ice cubes. We found out the hard way about the water after making ice cubes. Never have had salt water in a house before. Place was very clean and the rooftop deck is amazing.
