Yes, there are mosquitoes on the Mid Atlantic seaboard in the summer time. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in Lewes but I would simply like to point out two things. Since early last summer (2017), we have passed 198 adults, 49 children, and at least 5 infants through this unit. We have not previously received one single comment or complaint about mosquitoes. The eleven operating windows are all tightly screened, ( I made the screens myself). The two entry doors are also screened. The only way mosquitoes can enter the unit I believe is through an open door either when guests are moving luggage in or when they are entering and exiting the unit. It is unfortunate that one or more mosquitoes got into the unit during your stay. It is also rare. Regarding the floors, the entire floor, (all 2500 square feet of it) is cleaned after each departing guest. The kitchen floor is vacuumed and if time allows between departing and arriving guests, it is then mopped. Perhaps it was not mopped before your arrival, or perhaps a spot was missed near the refrigerator. I apologize for any oversight on the floor. Thank you for your constructive criticism.
