Anteriormente conocido como Moon River Cottage, ahora conocido con cariño como 'Hygge Sommerhus'. En lo alto de las Montañas Rocosas, encontrarás un acogedor paraíso montañoso ubicado en medio del Bosque Nacional Roosevelt, frente a St. Río Vrain Hygge (pronunciado hue-gah) es una palabra danesa que es un sentimiento o estado de ánimo que proviene del placer genuino de hacer que los momentos cotidianos sean más significativos, hermosos o especiales. Es la calidad de la comodidad lo que crea una sensación de satisfacción o bienestar. ¡Hygge se trata de apreciación! Damos la bienvenida a la gente para que aproveche la paz y la tranquilidad que ofrece esta pequeña cabaña.

La entrada de Wild Basin al Parque Nacional de las Montañas Rocosas está a solo unos minutos. La cabaña está ubicada en la encantadora aldea de Raymond / Riverside, a un corto y hermoso viaje en automóvil de Allenspark, además de estar un poco más lejos de Estes Park, Nederland, Lyons, Boulder y Denver (aproximadamente 30-40 minutos). ¡Pasar el día esquiando o con raquetas de nieve en Eldora es fácil en 35 minutos!

La cabaña ha sido remodelada profesionalmente con un estilo moderno y sencillo, pero tiene muebles y decoración muy cómodos. El baño completo ha sido actualizado. Ambas habitaciones tienen colchones, ropa de cama y muebles nuevos, no se ha pasado por alto ningún detalle. Hay un nuevo televisor de pantalla plana de 55 "con Direct TV en la sala de estar, así como también un televisor en el maestro e internet de alta velocidad disponible en el hogar (si lo necesita).

En el patio trasero, los picos de granito que se elevan justo por encima de tu vista del río te dejarán sin aliento. Durante los meses más cálidos, el hermoso jardín es un lugar encantador para cenar 'al aire libre' o simplemente para pasar el tiempo leyendo o pescando con el sonido de la música del río. Toda la propiedad está cercada para su privacidad y la seguridad de los niños, sin obstaculizar su vista del río y las montañas más allá.
Aunque abunda la vida silvestre y los colibríes y las ardillas te divertirán con sus visitas diarias, por favor no solicitamos otras mascotas :)

Peacfull Get Away

This is the second year that we have stayed at this home. We love the location and the private backyard with the beautiful view and sounds of the St. Vrain River. We look forward to staying again as this home is immaculate and in close proximity to many places to see!

Just my opinion

The property and location was great. The only downside for me is the fact that there is a sign on the back of the toilet telling me to put toilet paper in the trash can. If I’m going to spend over $1000 for a 3 night stay I should be able to flush toilet paper. If you can’t then you shouldn’t be using this property as a VRBO. I would not stay here again for that very reason.

Hi Pam, Thanks for the response. The sign just says that the house is on a septic and not to flush extra paper, baby wipes or paper towels. I’m sorry you interpreted it the wrong way. We hope you had a nice stay otherwise. The last owner of the house gifted that to us, as most people aren’t aware that a septic can be finicky. Best, Elizabeth

Cabin had everything we needed plus a few extra surprises that made for an incredible stay. Ideal location for Estes Park and Boulder trips. Backyard offered amazing mornings and peaceful evenings! Would love to stay here again.

Great cabin in the mountains with a phenomenal creek right off the deck with white water rushing over boulders. Easy access to both Boulder and Estes Park/ Rocky Mountain National Park. Beautiful scenery in every direction.

Peaceful Retreat

Perfect Mountain get-away. You can hear the gurgling of the Saint Vrain river and feel the refreshing breeze through the screen door off the private back patio. Spent a lot of time watching birds and relaxing in the Adirondack chairs next to the river. Interior was very attractively decorated in a Scandanavian modern style. Perfect place to decompress and recharge. Elizabeth was very responsive and helpful. Tip: bring snacks and/or groceries for quick meals. Nearest restaurant is 15-20 min. away and no supermarkets in area.

Charming cabin along tumbling stream

The local scenery is amazing, esp the drive from Lyons to the cabin. Easy drive to SE corner of Rocky Mtn Natl Park for hiking. Host is responsive and works hard to make guests feel welcome. Well stocked kitchen, with more than average non perishable staples such as Kreurig coffee pods, margarine, and condiments already on hand. Do buy groceries in Boulder before heading to cabin. Pizza place in Raymond said lead time was 1.25 hrs for single take-out pizza at 5 pm on a Saturday! Restaurants in Lyons are 25 minutes away, albeit a beautiful drive! Downside: After specifically asking if bunk was full-sized for adult use before booking reservation, we learned thru house rules/instructions provided just before arrival that bunk bed was only to be used by someone under 120 lbs! Problem solution was folding cot or move bunk mattress onto LVG Rm floor. Otherwise lovely stay...nice hot water showers... comfortable Mstr bed...great for two couples or small family...enjoyable, peaceful outdoor seating area watching and listening to riffles.

Amazing find...a peaceful paradise!

We loved Raymond, CO and loved this property. It is a wonderfully small community located just off the highway (far enough that there is no traffic sounds) and right next to a beautiful creek. We were there for RMNP mostly but loved visiting Estes Park and hanging around the cabin. The house was clean, great wifi and a nice TV to relax with after dinner by the creek. RMNP SE entrance about 15min, highly recommend the Calypso Cascade trail. The more popular entrance is probably 35min from house but drive is easy. The house was really worth it and I would happily stay during our next visit. For a family of 4 the amenities were perfect and beds were comfortable.

Perfect Cottage by the River!

We loved this home! After visiting crazy Estes Park, we were so glad that we had chosen to stay in Raymond. It was just beautiful! Loved the location on the river, and everything about the house was top notch. Nice beds and linens, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable seating in the living room. Thank you for sharing your home!

Hygge Sommerhus by St. Vrain Creek

We enjoyed our 2 night stay in this cute little home. It was very clean and comfortable. I loved drinking coffee out back watching the creek. We saw a hummingbird & a chipmunk while out on the back patio. I would buy groceries in Boulder if coming from that way. There aren’t many places that you can buy groceries from close by and they close early. Please note that this house uses a septic system and the owner describes it as sensitive, asking you to take short showers and place toilet paper in trash. We didn’t have any problems with it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the proximity to RMNP. I highly recommend staying here!

Thanks for the nice review! To clarify, we ask that you put sanitary pads, tampons and baby wipes in the trash - not toilet paper. I’m sorry if you were told this ;) and I’ll be sure to clarify that it is written correctly! We are so glad that you had a delightful time. Everyone seems to just love it up there!!

Cabin/Little House on St. Vrain Creek

Refreshing. Relaxing. Rejuvenating. To call it a 'cabin' is not quite right, to me it was more of a cozy little house that could also be a cabin. Elizabeth was fantastic and available for communication and suggestions and was wonderful to work with. Enjoyed every single element.

Lovely home

The river out back is incredible. The cabin feels magical. If you go in June, expect a mixed bag of weather, but even in the pouring rain, we loved every minute. Thanks to the amazing host for such cozy home away from home.

Like a Swiss village!

The little area of Raymond was so quaint and Hygge Sommerhaus welcomes you immediately with it's cute color outside and cozy interior! It was the perfect size for a family with two littles, and we enjoyed the backyard with a daily chipmunk visit. The rushing creek provided cool air and soothing sounds to fall asleep to. We really enjoyed our stay!

Amazing and romantic getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at this adorable cabin! It has every amenity we needed, and Elizabeth was wonderful and quick to communicate via email and text. We were able to fly fish right out the back door, and my husband caught three brook trout within a few minutes. We also really enjoy cooking and found that the kitchen had every appliance we needed. We will definitely be staying here again!

Charming mountain getaway

This little cabin is the perfect getaway! Right on a beautiful creek in a quaint little mountain town. The house is decorated nicely and has everything you might need. The big backyard was where we spent most of our time enjoying the fire pit and sounds of the creek. Elizabeth was very easy to work with. I spent my Birthday weekend here. There’s plenty to do in the area. We went to allenspark for pizza and really loved the meadow mt. Cafe for breakfast. The old gallery is a must stop- they had music sat evening that was amazing. I will cherish my memories of this trip!

Very cozy. Pictures accurate. Masterbed/linens/pillows were quite comfortable. The newly remodeled kitchen was a big improvement over my previous stay with previous owners. Kitchen has everything you need. The double filtered drinking water spout at the sink was a great idea. Loved the sounds of the river and relaxing in the private back yard. WiFI, land line and a solid TV package if you want it. We enjoyed a movie each night after a long day of hiking. Close to Longs Peak, RMNP, Estes Park. You may want to buy groceries in Boulder if coming from Denver airport for the first night or so as dining/groceries are a little ways away after a long day of travel. Elizabeth was a pleasure to work with, gave great suggestions for very nice grocery stores in Boulder. Enjoyed the cool summer nights/mornings....I think Raymond elevation is about 7815 feet. Looking forward to a third stay.

Lovely little cabin in the woods...

We only had a few short days in the summerhouse but it was really wonderful. Comfortable. Nice aesthetics. Away from it all but easy to get to the Park and more. The creek out back is the icing on the cake!

Clean and quiet

Perfect place for my family of three to explore RMNP, without having to stay in Estes Park. Quiet and comfortable place. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, hot shower, and tranquil backyard. Left the property feeling refreshed and relaxed. Will stay again when the mountains call me back.

Very Clean and beautiful home rental

Our stay at this beautiful rental was July 11, 2018 through July 15, 2018. The location of this home, right on the river was magnificent. The backyard was very private and we enjoyed waiting for the hummingbirds in the morning. It was clean and well furnished with all the things you would need - just like home, only better! We most definitely would come back again!

Beautiful cabin and setting

My husband and two young daughters stayed in the cabin a few weeks ago. We found it to be very clean, comfortable and modern while also cozy. My girls especially loved the yard and the creek out back - they spent hours playing along the rocky edge of the creek and in the shallow part on the edges. Despite being there in mid-August we found that if we opened the bedroom windows in the evening the temperature was comfortable and even chilly in the morning. We ate at the local pizza spot in Allenspark that was recommended, and loved it. We would absolutely return for another stay!
