Sparrow Pond Cottage Home en la hermosa isla de Kiawah

Disfrutará de su estadía en nuestra cómoda casa de playa, ubicada en el popular barrio de Sparrow Pond en la isla de Kiawah, conocida por su impresionante belleza y su proximidad a la playa y la ciudad de Charleston.

Nuestra casa rural tiene tres dormitorios y dos baños completos. En una de las habitaciones hay una cama doble. Las otras dos habitaciones tienen dos camas individuales. También hay un sofá cama. La ocupación máxima es de ocho personas.

Se suministran toallas de baño y ropa de cama. La cocina recién remodelada está lista para usar, y hay una parrilla de gas al aire libre, por lo que todo lo que necesita traer es comida. Nuestra casa rural también cuenta con lavadora, secadora, dos televisores con conexión por cable e internet inalámbrico. El televisor en la sala de estar principal tiene un reproductor de DVD.

We love coming to Kiawah. This house was comfortable and we enjoyed the location in West Beach. We really enjoyed the pool which was just a short walk from the house. The space worked for our group of six adults.

Great family trip

We had a wonderful stay here. The location is great with easy access to the beach, pool, and bike path. The screen porch was our favorite place and was cool enough to work on puzzles due to shade and a great fan! The owners were wonderful to rent from, with great communication!

Wonderful Beach Vacation

Everything about Kiawah Island was wonderful. The house was a short walk through a quiet neighborhood to access the beach. The beach itself was one of the best we’ve been to. The owners were very responsive and we had no issues with the house.

Loved our stay

Loved everything about the trip. Beautiful help from the hoat with our grocery order that they kindly put away for us. So that when we arrived our food was all there. Wonderful on all accounts. Memories made!!!

Great Location and Gorgeous Island

We had a wonderful time at the house. The owners were very quick to respond to any issues we had and came out same day to look at one. The location is unbeatable with a quick walk to the beach and pool access. We had a great time there and definitely look forward to the opportunity to come back! Great communication from the owners again!

Perfect location for a Kiawah stay

This is a perfect home for 1st timers or the frequent Kiawah guest. This is minutes from the beach. Sparrow Pond is walking distance to Inlet Cove or a quick bike ride to the general store. Kids rode bikes all over the island. I’ve been coming to the island since ‘84 and would stay here again.

West end Kiawah island

The cottage was very nice. Well equipped kitchen. We really like the west end of the island for wildlife (birds) along the beach. Other favorite activity is biking with wind on beach then back through properties along bike paths.

New Year's Family Trip

The house is located on the west end of the island. It could use an update but it is very functional and we enjoyed our stay. The three bedrooms gave us plenty of room to spread out. The beach is a short walk or bike ride away. There are also numerous activities offered through the resort which we enjoyed during our stay.

Clean, reliable appliances, and everything we hoped!

The owners were absolutely phenomenal at responding to inquiries leading up to our visit. The house was clean and just what we needed. We enjoyed the full kitchen, and appreciated the washer and dryer. The beds were rather firm, which only two of us were not great fans of. We found the beach easily. It was a very enjoyable visit!

Kiawah Island wedding.

Found this house for a wedding we attended. The house was clean and well kept and supplied. The owners were very easy to communicate with and answered all of my questions promptly. It was 600 steps to beach and 300 to pool. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

This was the second time that we have stayed at this property. (First time in 2011). The group consisted of five adults and one teenager. We were comfortable inside of the cottage. A fully equipped kitchen allowed for us cook and prepare food each day. We enjoyed the big-screen TV during the evening hours. The proximity to the beach and the community pool was very influential in our choice of returning to this property. Both are within walking distance of the cottage. Not once did we use our bicycles to go to the pool or beach. Owners have great communication (via Vrbo messages). Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay and would entertain returning for a third time.

Perfect for our family!

Loved the location, close to pool and beach! House was just the right size for our family, my husband and I with our two daughters and their husbands and their babies. Huge TV for watching the football games, great table for our family game playing and well equipped kitchen! It’s not a huge or fancy house but perfect for our great family vacation! Owners are very responsive to any communication and they provided the information we needed in a timely manner. Attentive to details-all the light switches were labeled-very thoughtful!

We rented this home from the previous owners for several years before it was our turn to offer it other families for their family vacations. Our home is not fancy, but it is ideally situated just steps from the beautiful Kiawah Island beach, neighborhood pool, walking trails, and west beach convention center. The nearby city of Charleston and the surrounding areas offer many sightseeing and other interesting things to do while you enjoy the unique low country of South Carolina. Come visit our home again.

Great value / location!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The value and location are exceptional. A few aspects of the unit are outdated, like the floor plan with too few windows, but this was fine for the price range. The main issue with the unit is that the master bedroom has an extremely soft and saggy mattress that caused me unnecessary pain and discomfort. As a much more minor issue, the master bathroom didn’t seem to have any hot water reaching the sink. Again, overall, the unit met our needs and provided all of the amenities we were looking for. Fix these fixable issues, and this would be a 5 star review.

Our yearly oasis at Kiawah

We have been renting this condo from the McCarty's for quite a few years and have been coming down to Kiawah since 1981. We used to stay just next door until that property was sold. Luckily, we found the McCarty's and have been very satisfied. I have even talked to Rob during our stay if I find something that is not up to par. Rob takes care of it on the spot. Thank you.

Clean home away from home.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this cottage. We found everything in order and very clean upon our arrival. Kitchen was readily equipped for many meals during our stay. I did want to point out that we expected the walk to beach to be a little closer than it actually was. With 3 teenagers in tow, all able to help carry our beach load, it took us nearly 10 minutes to get to the boardwalk. I would advise a beach wagon or cart for families with younger kids. Not ideal for anyone who needs assistance walking.

Thank you for the favorable review. Unfortunately, you may have taken an alternate path to the beach. The most direct route to the beach from our house is very short. It should only have taken only a few minutes.

Peaceful and well-laid out

Property was as described. Easy to pass through the security gate, and easy to gain entry to the property. Our first time staying this westward in Kiawah. Quiet neighborhood; no road or neighbor noise. The property has three bedrooms which was great for our family! We have particular sleepers, so the ability to switch beds and/or rooms if needed was fabulous! The owners don't ask a lot of cleanup from guests, which is nice if you don't want to do that, but we love to show our appreciation by cleaning up as much as we can! It's a quiet, lovely spot on Kiawah.

Quiet and private

The beach was not crowded at all. Great time of year to go. Only “issues” we encountered is my truck (F150) would barely fit under the house so it made it difficult getting in and out. We had to move the truck every time we needed to access the storage area and that was frequently because you are not allowed to leave items in view of the street. I noticed all the neighboring houses had larger and wider carports. That would have been helpful. The place wasn’t dirty, but it just needs some updating. Everything is pretty worn out but it didn’t bother us because we spent most our time at the beach. The pool is shaded so it was freezing cold this time of year so something to consider there. Hosts were really nice and quick to respond.

Die Lage ist phänomenal— sehr schön, sehr ruhig in West Beach. Direkt am Strand, der durch einen kurzen Fußweg zu erreichen ist. Die Küche könnte etwas besser ausgestattet sein.

Great location

The property was on a cul de sac very close to a nice community pool and the beach. Owners/property managers had very good communication. The only downsides were the furnishings of the house needed replacement (stains on bedding, couch and porch furniture), and some of the sliding glass doors were not supposed to be used because they needed replacement.

Great Kiawah location

This Sparrow Pond property is just a short stroll to the community pool and beach. Enjoyed daily bike rides though out the island. Great place for some R&R.

We first visited Kiawah Island in 1990 and were most impressed by the island’s natural beauty and beautiful beach. Kiawah Island is a peaceful sanctuary, like no other place we have ever visited. We have returned there every year since then.
