Encontrará mucho que hacer aquí todo el año. Desde el porche trasero, disfrute del tranquilo amanecer sobre el lago con su café de la mañana. Capture las vistas WOW de gran parte de la casa y observe los barcos que pasan de vez en cuando desde el porche trasero de nuestro mirador. Hay una "caja de playa" de arena con escaleras en el agua y el parapente en nuestro muelle privado es el lugar favorito para los bañistas y los observadores del atardecer. Reme nuestra canoa del casco antiguo a una cala cercana. Si hace calor, nadar, flotar, pescar, navegar o hacer picnic. En climas más fríos, nuestra chimenea y nuestra bañera de hidromasaje semicerrada se suman a la sensación de "cabaña en el bosque".

Motos acuáticas, pontones y otros barcos se pueden alquilar en varios lugares. Estamos a pocos pasos de la orilla del lago Oconee Marina con su rampa para botes públicos donde se puede "poner". Buenas tiendas y antigüedades se pueden encontrar en las cercanías de Madison, Eatonton y Greensboro. Un cine multiplex está a unos 15 minutos de distancia, cerca de una tienda de comestibles Publix.

Tenga en cuenta: nuestro elevador eléctrico de bote fue golpeado por una tormenta severa y actualmente no está disponible. Pero hay tacos para amarrar en el muelle y el agua siempre tiene 5'-6 'de profundidad. El poder todavía está encendido en el muelle.

Everything was very nice, the host, was informative and helpful and clear. The amenities were very nice, clean and well appointed.The view was gorgeous on a nicely landscaped and tree'd lot. The neighbors were friendly and quiet. We enjoyed our time away from city life.

The lake views were breathtaking and we enjoyed the dock area while we fished. The house was very comfortable and we also enjoyed the porch area in the morning. The grill was perfectly placed for easy cooking and passing into the kitchen. Only one small problem was the use of the microwave it kept locking up after every use. King size bed was very comfortable but it was the only bed we used. Overall great place to enjoy the lake.

We had such a wonderful stay at this lakeside property! The home was everything we expected: clean and comfortable, with cozy spaces to spread out and relax. The best part was, of course, the lake itself. Waking up to the peaceful water views and spending time outside made the trip truly special. Whether enjoying coffee or dinner on the porch, playing with our dog in the backyard, or just watching the beautiful sunsets each night, it was the perfect getaway. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and memorable stay right on the lake!

Quiet relaxing lake getaway

Wonderful view of the lake and sunsets. Plenty of space in the house and we love the screened porch. We love that it’s dog-friendly. We have stayed here multiple times and never been disappointed.

Beautiful view!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We liked the easy walk to the dock, the big view of the lake, and the screened porch. Inside, we liked all of the space and the board games that were provided. The owner was very responsive with questions. The only negative was the kitchen could do with a deep clean and be better stocked for cooking.

Wonderful brief stay with family. The grands loved fishing from the dock, swimming, and fishing again. Open floor plan and dining table large enough to seat us all together. Since we were only there 3 nights, we didn’t utilize the fire pit, grill, or hot tub but all looked as shown. Recommend visiting the Georgia Safari in Madison. We all loved the experience of this new animal conservation park.

Wonderful 1st Time Stay at Lake Oconee

My husband and I celebrated the July 4th holiday with our daughter and her family. We had a great time. Our granddaughters had so much fun playing in the sand, swimming and riding on the boat. The house had everything we needed to have an enjoyable weekend. The layout was perfect, family stayed in the loft giving them a little privacy. The boat ramp was super convenient. Got to see some great fireworks. Thanks John and Gail for hosting our first trip to Lake Oconee. When can we come again?

3 couples stayed for the weekend and it was perfect. Plenty of room with the porch and dock. It is wonderful for everyone to hang out together. Lovely view on the lake and eady to get to.

Good place for a weekend away!

This is a cozy place to stay for a quick weekend trip. A little outdated, but still cozy and nice. We enjoyed fishing on the dock and in the canoe. There was plenty of room for our entire family and pups.

Huge screened in porch overlooking Lake Oconee

This is the third year we have booked this house and we love it. The huge screened in porch overlooking Lake Oconee and the aframe style with windows all the way to the ceiling is what first got my attention. You can relax inside or outside on the screened porch and have amazing views of the lake. Also it has shade trees everywhere so it is a little private getaway.

Lake Escape

I love to return again and again to this A frame beauty directly on the lake. Quiet mornings with a pot of coffee listening to birds singing. The home is casually elegant and well appointed. I have stayed with a small dog and also with a group of girlfriends.

Lakeside Family Retreat is owned by John Martin. His business partner, Gail Farrell, provides reservation assistance. John is a UGA law graduate, retired lawyer and lives in SE Metro Atlanta. Gail is a GSU alumnus and frequent traveler. Both grew up in the N. Atlanta suburb of Dunwoody, now Brookhaven. And they both enjoy a good hike. If you are also a walker, while at the property, try nearby Rock Hawk located at Wallace Dam Rd & Lawrence Shoals Rd, Eatonton.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We were so fortunate to find this corner on Lake Oconee that is closer to Atlanta than most other vacation rentals on the lake. It has a real "lake house feel" to it: a private gravel road leading to the house which is surrounded by mature hardwoods; a lot which gently descends to the lake front; beautiful views of the lake from most of the house. Once you're here, you won't want to leave!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The Lakeside Family Retreat has a sizeable, wooded lot that provides a cozy atmosphere, a lovely view, private dock and gentle slope with walk-in access to the lake. The A-frame is roomy and open with plenty of space for family and friends. You can see the lake from most of the house; stand in the kitchen or sit at the table and watch the kids on the porch. While the house will accommodate nine guests, there are plenty of private spaces to have a quiet conversation, such as the gazebo swing and the glider on the dock. The huge screened-in porch with cypress-lined, vaulted ceiling lets you relax and enjoy all the sounds and sights of the lake, even on a rainy day.

Our loft has a full bath as well as the little balcony overlooking the lot. The place has a real "family-feel" and that alone reduces stress. In fall and winter, the fireplace is a nice addition and we keep the hot tub available all year for another pleasant way to wind down. There's an extra tank of gas available for the grill, too.
