We had a very nice stay at the Eagle’s Nest Cottage. It was clean, private, well appointed, and had a great location right outside of the center of Egg Harbor. We would gladly stay again!

We had everything we needed while there. We enjoyed every part of the house- from the upstairs deck to the porch and outside deck. Our pooch was very comfortable there as well. A wonderful long weekend away!

Very lovely home perfect for a couple! We enjoyed the semi-private location, deck off the bedroom, and ample space to stretch out. Several towels were provided so no laundering was needed during the stay. The kitchen was also well stocked. Egg Harbor was only a short drive away, and was a nice central location for visiting other towns in door county. I had to take one star off as the bed on one side was fairly broken down and uncomfortable, otherwise, we would stay again.

Cute, clean, private cottage in the woods. Bedroom is upstairs with a rooftop patio. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots if you want to cook. Nice towels and linens. Perfect place to stay for a couple.

Brief 4 night get-away

We loved our stay at the Eagle’s Nest cottage in Egg Harbor. It was perfect for us. Very clean, comfortable and cozy. We loved the location and the privacy. We used the upper balcony every night and planned on a campfire but ran out of time. Bob was very reliable and reachable. Will definitely stay again.

Everything as advertised. They thought of little details like matches for the fireplace (it is a wood-burner). Good stay.

Wonderful location

We had a great time and this was a perfect location for us to explore Door County from. The house had everything we needed for a place to make some of our meals and to lay our heads. It was so quiet and peaceful which was nice change of pace where we are from. There was everything we needed. Thanks for letting us stay.

Labor Day weekend getaway

Loved the screened porch and the rooftop! The house is so cute - the drawback is the bathroom on the first floor and bedroom up the steep stairs. Also, please get new knives, they are ALL SO DULL. We were able to ride our bikes to The Alpine for live music! Great time!

Great location off the beaten path

This was our first visit to Door County. We picked the Eagle's Nest as it was fairly close to where friends were staying, and it looked quaint and comfortable. The adage about great things coming in small packages comes to mind. While not a large home/cabin, it had great spaces and exceeded all of our needs. The master bedroom was spacious, the living area was comfortable and well laid out, the kitchen was outfitted well and the outdoor space was great! There are neighbors nearby, but far enough away that we hardly noticed them - or they us. A great neighborhood! We loved the Eagle's Nest, would stay there again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others!

Eagle's Nest

Very nice property, well maintained. My only problem involved communication prior to arriving; the need to access the owner by phone instead of internet would have been optimal. I much prefer a one:one conversation where a discussion can be held and both parties are up to date on the needs of owner and renter. Other than that, it was a good choice for me and I much enjoyed my stay. I got a kick out of visiting the Horseshoe Bay Farms and talking to folks about the "old chicken coop" that I was staying in!

Private but close to the water

We rented the Eagles Nest as a couples get away but it can actually sleep five (inc kids). Perfect location, blocks from the water but in a private wooded lot on three sides. No visual neighbors. Upper back balcony perfect breakfast spot for two. Clean, everything worked well, good wifi, good shower pressure and this place cost less for the whole cottage than a hotel or condo. Privacy for couples (or small families!) — We’d definitely rent it again.

Cozy cottage

We really enjoyed our stay, the place was super clean and just the right size for us. We really enjoyed sitting on the upper deck and looking at the stars. Highly recommend!

Quiet Door County

Great house for a long weekend. The location is very quiet and in a nice wooded area. Close access to Egg Creek business district. The interior is very unique, including the deck off the master bedroom. The bathroom is downstairs, but it is not a issue. The owner communicates vey well. Would recommend to anyone.

Great Little Cottage

Eagles Nest Cottage did not disappoint. Everything needed was there, in excess. Towels, TP, plates and cups, silverware, knives, pots and pans, even paper towels and salt and pepper. The grill was new and clean and again, plenty of grill utensils included. The only negative thing I can say is that the bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is on the main level, making it interesting when you have to get up in the middle of the night. But besides that, the property is great. There's even a nice fire pit with chairs. We also saw two hawks right in the back yard one morning and a family of deer one night resting outside the kitchen window. The neighborhood is very quiet and communication with the owner was very easy if we needed to contact them. We will be back in the future!

We have lived in the area over 30 years, owning and operating the Shallows Resort along with it's vacation homes for many of those years.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The Eagles Nest was originally located on Horseshoe Bay Farm just south of it's current location. Liz's Grandfather and Father were both farm and orchard managers at Horseshoe Bay Farm. Her dad moved the Eagles Nest off the farm when it was slated for demolition over 50 years ago. It's been a vacation rental ever since. It shares the unique architecture (and color) of the farm. Tours of the historic Horshoe Bay Farm are available on most days. Little known fact: It used to be part of the chicken coop.
