Construida en 1902, la casa fue completamente renovada en 2017 y llamada "The Bonnie Rose" en honor a nuestras madres. La casa está convenientemente ubicada en el distrito histórico de Lake City. Situado a pocas cuadras del centro de la ciudad, a poca distancia de restaurantes, vida nocturna, tiendas y parques. Las leyes locales permiten la operación de OHV en las calles de la ciudad, lo que permite un fácil acceso al histórico Alpine Loop, así como a rutas de senderismo y bosques nacionales desde la puerta principal. No se necesita remolcar, solo saltar y conducir. Hay numerosos lagos y ríos para la pesca. Esta casa victoriana única tiene 5 dormitorios, 2 baños y encanto histórico. El dormitorio principal del piso principal tiene una cama de espuma de memoria tamaño queen. También se encuentra en la planta principal y hay otro dormitorio con una litera con colchón completo y dos camas individuales. La sala de estar y el comedor tienen acento y encanto griegos y victorianos. Un área adicional de comedor más pequeña está convenientemente ubicada cerca de la cocina. Hecho en blanco y negro y decorado con encantadoras fotos en blanco y negro del área local y el período de tiempo. El baño de la planta principal tiene un gran tubo con patas y ducha. El piso de arriba tiene tres dormitorios y un baño con ducha. El dormitorio principal en la planta superior tiene un colchón de espuma con memoria tamaño queen. La segunda habitación tiene dos camas individuales y la tercera tiene una cama doble. La casa tiene un gran patio vallado por lo que es ideal para el entretenimiento, bodas, reuniones y socialización. Somos amables con los perros. El gran patio cercado incluye dos mesas de picnic, una fogata y una parrilla. La propiedad cuenta con un amplio estacionamiento para sus vehículos, remolques y vehículos todo terreno.

We had a fantastic stay. The house was lovely, clean and filled with character. It had everything we needed and more. The yard is large and fenced in. We all (group of 9) highly recommend it.

Jim was fantastic. Reached out early with check in info. He met us upon arrival to give us info on the house, some area history, and some trail suggestions. Was a great host. The house was as advertised, old but updated and very functional. Great location. Can’t really say anything negative.

This place is wonderful!! We had family stay for our wedding and there was plenty of space and bathrooms. Big backyard for my child and a dog that joined us to run around! We hope to be back again with family :)

We had 11 in our party and there was adequate sleeping arrangements for all of us.

Great property if you are needing something for a large group. The fenced yard was a great place for grandchildren and adults to hang out when we weren’t out exploring. The property was very well stocked with essentials.

Very very roomy, great place for large groups, plenty of beds. Outstanding historic and artistic features. Hosts were very informative and caring very hospitable they were very attentive to our needs. Very nice furniture, art and decor a lot of hard work has been put into this house.

Great stay, right in town

Wonderful historical house, high ceilings, more than enough room for our 10 people & our vehicles with trailered ATV’s. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit every night after our rides. Lake City has old town charm & trail head access from town. If we make it back, again, we will definitely look to the Bonnie Rose.

Great stay here. Owner helpful and responsive (goes above and beyond). House well appointed, had everything we needed. We rode the alpine loop on atv/ dirt bikes and stayed overnight here. Great location, within walking distance to restaurant for supper. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Hope to be back next year.

Amazing vacation experience

Beautifully restored historical house with an amazing family history. Spacious enough for a large family with comfortable beds and plenty of room and large, well-equipped kitchen. Large fenced yard for pets, outside eating and firepit. The Gowdys are super friendly and accommodating as are their son and daughter-in-law who own the High Altitude Adventures. They will definitely be our go-to for future visits. Thank- you, Gowdys for an amazing family vacations!

Razor Trip

We had a great time while we was in Lake City. This was our first time in the area and we loved being there. The property was great! Jim had great communication about any questions we had. It was clean and comfortable couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while we was there. I hope that we can come back again next year!!

Wonderful Old Home in the Heart of Town

Our stay was just as expected. An older home with lots of history. Jim was a fantastic host and was great at communicating and fixed a leaky shower ASAP! We had plenty of room for our family. It was a quick walk downtown and a there is a school with a fabulous park (and basketball court) across the street. A great stay, we will likely return.

Great restored home!

This home was large enough for our family and was centrally locacted in town. This allowed a short walk in town to see the sights. We had deer in the yard an outdoor fire pit and great views. We would highly recommend this property. Jim was wonderful! He was friendly and easy to contact. The property was very well stocked with the daily needed items!

Great for families

Was in town with extended family for a funeral, so large age range of people. We booked this house due to the size and number of bedrooms. The house had everything we needed. From high chair, to cooking items, plenty of coffee, towels, everything. Jim communicated well and the check in and out were flawless. The house is decorated very unique to showcase its history. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and even had a bear cruise by. The yard is very large and fenced in so the dogs could roam. We highly recommend this place and Gowdy properties as a whole. We will for sure stay here again. I’ve been coming to lake city since I was a kid and so happy we found this place for future stays.

Under Construction/ Renovation

The pictures online are misleading, not all rooms are completely finished. Exterior is under renovation and not fully painted. Plumbing backed up and overflowed during our stay. Kitchen range is unacceptable for rental property. Jim (owner) was nice and super responsive but I would not have rented the property if I had know of the current condition.

Great Location, Great Host

The Bonnie Rose what is an ideal location for my family and I to enjoy the Lake City ice Park. The accommodation was tastefully renovated in early 20th century style, but had modern facilities and comforts. While only four adults stayed at this location. It could easily handle twice that many people with the three bathrooms available and roomy dining room/kitchen. It was a pleasure to work with Jim Gowdy, the host, his prompt and detailed responses to my inquiries were much appreciated. We liked that the kitchen was well stocked with all of the pots pans, and some pantry items such as spices. Of special interest was the beautifully restored Hotpoint electric range that worked fantastically, considering it’s 50+ years old. The entire house was nicely cleaned, and there were plenty of cleaning supplies, plus a washer, and dryer, and all the minor accessories that you would expect in a home being rented. The linens and towels were in good shape and everyone enjoyed their individual bed. Considering that Gowdy Properties has many options in the Lake City area, I’m sure most VROB clients will be able to find a rental property that suitable for their trip. Highly recommended.

The home and kitchen were well furnished and had all the bases covered. The owner was gracious and very helpful in orienting to the home and property. Highly recommend and would book with with them without hesitation.

This property was an excellent choice for our family weekend away! The host’s were very gracious and helpful. The yard was great for the kids (and adults) to play in the evenings! We were in walking distance of town!
