Scenic Solitude on the shores of Lake San Cristobal

“Scenic Solitude” is located at the water’s edge on the north shore of Lake San Cristobal. You will never tire of the fantastic views from the back deck and from the large picture windows. We are located on The Alpine Loop and have direct access to many trails for Jeeping, ATVing or hiking. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen and full size washer and dryer. It can sleep six, two bedrooms each with their own private bath and a sleeper sofa in the living area. There are upper and lower decks complete with furniture and gas grill for you to enjoy while viewing the scenery or grilling the fresh fish you just pulled out of the lake. There is also a wood burning stove, satellite TV, and free wifi.

I can't say enough about this place! It was spotless, well-stocked, and had a view that was out of this world. It is right on the Alpine Loop, so it was convenient to the trails. We cooked every evening except one and had everything we needed. Make sure to drive around the lake often, we saw a Moose! We are already looking at our calendar to plan the next visit!

What a spectacular setting

Stayed a week and loved it. A view and setting that are inspirational. The decor is dated but everything is fully functional and very, very clean. We would love to come back to the Lake City area and stay again.

June vacation

Amazing property, we have already booked next year for 2 weeks. The property wasn't ready when we arrived, about an hour late in checking in. The stay was great.

Great getaway!!

First of all, Chad was very informative in helping me register and receive all important information about our stay. The check in process was quick and easy, and the condo was well stocked. It was everything we had hoped it would be. So beautiful and relaxing on the lake. We were very fortunate to meet the owners, Patsy and John, who were so friendly and welcoming. We totally enjoyed our stay!!

Serene getaway

Absolutely loved this beautiful lake front property. It was the perfect place to get away from the busy city life. We loved eating all our meals out on the deck overlooking the lake. The kitchen was outfitted and stocked with everything we could possibly need. We were close to wonderful hiking trails and visited all the nearby quaint towns. Definitely hope to stay here again to explore even further.

A getaway we will never forget.

Our 2nd trip to Colorado was all we hoped for and more. Scenic Solitude did not disappoint. The views are spectacular and the house is equipped with everything you could possibly need. We spent a week here in 2023 and couldn't wait to get back. Trail Rides, Fishing, and some much needed down time filled our two week stay. The weather was a big welcome to the Texas heat we left behind. Thank you John & Patsy for sharing your little of piece of heaven for all to enjoy. It was a pleasure meeting you both.
