eine wunderschöne geschmackvoll eingerichtete grosse wohnung! und die terrasse war auch herrlich mit blick auf den üppigen garten und die hühner.wir haben uns sehr Wohl gefühlt und den luxus genossen. auch der spaziergang ins städtchen am kanal entlang hat sich gelohnt. sehr zu empfehlen!

Charming cottage in a great location

Grandby Cottage was charming, the main house magnificant and the grounds were beautiful. The wisteria was in full bloom. I felt like I was taken back in time, expecting a carriage to pull up at any moment.Amanda is a great host and answered all our questions. Our itinerary the day after we arrived was:Day 1 -- Bath. We did the free walking tour (fantastic) and toured the Roman baths.Day 2 -- Stonehenge (We walked instead of taking the bus, which was so much better.) Avebury (one pub in town) and Castle Combe (dinner)Day 3 -- Glastonbury and Wells. I highly recommend going to the evensong at the Wells cathedral. A Sainsbury's was just down the road from the cottage, which was great. Bath wasn't a quick drive -- or maybe we just got twisted around a lot -- so we didn't buzz in for dinner after a day out as we thought we would.But we found plenty of restaurants wherever we went, including Bradford on Avon.

Beautiful Property

4 of us stayed at Granby Cottage over the weekend. The location and setting was beautiful, the cottage was inviting, warm and cosy. If we required help the Host would have been easily available, however everything was in place.. We thoroughly recommend staying there.

Excellent, would highly recommend

Such a beautifully appointed cottage in the grounds of an amazing country manor.So close to Bradford on Avon, literally 3 minutes to the local pub by car, we timed it! About 20 minutes to Bath, traffic pending. Cottage is spacious and homely too. Decorated with taste; high end furniture, bedding, crockery etc. Lots of doggy goodies available too which was nice.Whilst our stay was excellent and we would love to return and recommend, we did have a few issues with the tv on the first day. Managed to get Prime on the 2nd day so that was ok. When we returned after dark it was a dark walk through the gate/door to the front door. Perhaps a low level solar light might help.Neither point had a detrimental impact on our stay. Oh, fresh bread, butter and milk was much appreciated.

Catch up with the girls

Absolutely beautifully appointed property, gorgeous decor and the comfiest beds in the south! The gardens were a stunning backdrop for a catch up over dinner and wine with old friends. The sitting room was especially cosy with a comfy sofa and open fire. Easy to find but hard to leave, I'm sure we'll be back! Thank you Amanda, we loved your property!

Chic and relaxing stay in the countryside!

We really enjoyed our stay at Granby cottage. The grounds were beautiful and it was lovely exploring the gardens. Location was very convenient and hosts super nice. The cottage did not have a washer and dry so my only recommendation would be to plan clothing accordingly.

Hier gibt es nicht viel sagen, Cottage gemütlich, sauber, Betten gut, Vermieter mit auf dem Grundstück der sich sehr zurückhält solange es keine Fragen gibt, bei Fragen ist er hilfsbereit und gibt gerne Auskunft.

Fabulous stay

80th birthday celebration

Our stay at the cottage was perfect for celebrating an 80th birthday - the cottage was spacious enough to accomodate some extra guests for a night or two, and also perfect when it was just the two of us. A wonderful quiet location just outside Bradford on Avon, and lots to do within easy reach.

Thoroughly loved it.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the cottage to the point we wished we could have stayed longer. Enjoyed the outdoors environment as well as the peace and quite provided by the area. The cottage was spacious for our family of five and enjoyed all the comforts of home. We will definitely consider the cottage again on our next trip to the UK.

All around great!

From top to bottom, just all around a super place to stay. Well-managed and up-to-date, Amanda was a wonderful host -- accessible and friendly, welcoming and gracious. Very spacious cottage (the galley kitchen gets a little tight, but manageable), very comfortable. The location is exceptional, quiet and somewhat removed, yet easy access to Bradford-0n-Avon and especially Bath. Easily one of the best places we've stayed!!

Family reunion, birthday celebration , my sister 60th ....

A very quite clean pleasant cottage , we were here to take in the first anniversary of our late mother who's birthday would have been the 14th April. She would have been 84 .... Our brother lives on the canal , lovely to catch up and spend time together, we celebrated my sister 60th birthday on the 16th , overall a very nice experience , situated at the back of granby Lodge...in 12 acres of picturesque grounds .. cottage very clean ,beds were comfy , very quaint peacefull surroundings ...would book again ..

Amazing break away

Granby cottage Absolutely blown away the cottage was amazing clean, spacious & so relaxing The host Amanda & husband were so welcoming & helpful before & during our stay Loved the garden & the hens & chickens felt so relaxed & calm being there beautiful. I have rated everything about this cottage 5star as myself & family had a lovely relaxing time & would recommend it to everyone to stay here as you can't not like it at all Thank you Amanda

An amazing property for a special stay.

We had a lovely time staying at Granby Cottage for my Mum’s 70th birthday. We surprised her with an overnight stay after a birthday meal nearby and she was very wowed! The property was perfect for a family stay, lots of space and a really cosy front room, which was great for eating together, games and relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped too and they left some handy essentials for us which was much appreciated. The only thing we found was the main bedroom was quite cold, we put the heating up for the duration but that far part of the house seemed to stay pretty cool and there was a bit of a bite to the air when we went to bed. Luckily the bed was very comfy and cosy. We also had a little bit of a delay getting the instructions to check in but once we did it was straight forward. Amanda was generally good at trying to accommodate our needs.

I am married to James and we moved to Wiltshire from Berkshire to Granby House in 2019. The main house is an historic one made of beautiful bath stone and designed by a master quarry mason. At 10,000 sq ft, it has been quite the project for us but we love it and we especially enjoy cultivating our 12 acres of green belt countryside.

Granby Cottage along with our other rentals, is situated within the our beautiful grounds and we enjoy sharing our space and welcoming guests.

Ideal for working folk who need peace and quiet.

- Large sitting room with a 50 inch TV, comfortable seating, real fire and a dining area which is also ideal as a work space.
- It has its own WI FI (up to 34MB) for you to use.
- Small but functional galley kitchen, equipped to cook your own meals.
- 2 Shower rooms with toilets (one of which is an en-suite).
- Garden access with your own patio area and use of the fire pit with seating.
- Two large comfortable bedrooms
Bedroom 1: Double and a single
Bedroom 2: King bed and an ensuite.
Dogs are very welcome (there is one dog bed) for well behaved furry friends (we do have friendly show spaniels ourselves).
There are extra pillows and blankets to snuggle up with in front of a great DVD and a real fire - but the cottage is warmly centrally heated - temperature is controlled by you.
Granby Cottage is very private and set within 12 acres of green belt which we own and you are very welcome to walk your dog(s) around the main grounds.
There are some great local walks too.
The cottage has plenty of off street, private parking.
