Spacious house in great location

We really enjoyed our stay in Chula Vista, the house is very spacious and well located: in a quiet neighborhood and close to everything. We visited San Diego Zoo and Safari, Seaworld and Legoland, and our favorite stores, Costco and Trader Joe's, were 10min away. The kitchen is well equipped and our kids loved their rooms!

Great location..spacious

Wonderful place. Only 1 mile from our daughter's house so we could walk over most days. Lots of room and very clean. We frequently used the outdoor seating area for family gatherings and meals. Had a great time. Easy to get in and Jill was very responsive

Relaxing clean home

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Large driveway with lovely landscaping, spacious clean home, beautiful back patio, we really loved all of the natural light and windows in this stylish home. All the amenities you need with plenty of space. The back patio was very tranquil, we loved the fire pit and grill too. The owners were very attentive, they dropped off a propane tank for the fire pit. We really didn’t have any needs. It was a very comfortable stay with no issues.

Beautiful home in great location

I was not ready to leave and really loved the home and area. The house is so close to highway access points yet also so close to DT Chula Vista which has so much charm. Imperial beach only took 15-20 minutes to get to and we had such a good time. The back porch was our dinner spot every night and it was perfect for our group of four adults and four kids. So much fun!

We had a pretty nice stay for the majority of our trip. Didn't encounter any problems until the last night. There are rolling blackouts in the area and we were without power for 12 hours. A generator on the property would be nice because it was a bit of an inconvenience.

Wonderful place to stay

We did a remodel in our home and decided to to a staycation. This was the perfect place to bring some extended family and enjoy our time. Jill was so sweet and accommodating. Provided great communication and was quick to respond to any questions we had. Nice large property for everyone to enjoy without feeling crammed, great for the little ones too. I would come back if we ever did another staycation.

Great Family Location - Wonderful Hosts

Jill bent over backwards to make our stay happy and safe -- which we really appreciated. She gave us many suggestions for grocery stores and restaurants in advance. She was flexible with check-in and check-out which really helped my son and daughter-in-law move in all of their stuff with a 3 month old baby. The house was impeccably clean! And I know she made extra efforts to make it COVID safe. They layout was perfect and roomy for our family which was important since we spent most of our 2.5 weeks at the house. We so appreciated the small things like having paper towels, tp, some supply of spices, and other basics that made it easy to settle in even before we went shopping. Everything was labeled -- like what light switches went to what lights, which is a small thing, but helpful. We all LOVED the covered porch and practically lived out there at the comfortable table and chairs for eating and couch and chairs for lounging. The weather lived up to Jill's prediction -- not too hot nor cold which was delightful! One unexpected fabulous thing for our family happened about 7:15 pm each night when hundreds of crows made their way to wherever they spend the night. We all stood outside waiting for them to fly by -- even my little granddaughter was captivated. There is an old sycamore tree with bare upper branches in the yard and many of the crows landed there for awhile in the glow of the afternoon light that is ideal for photos. We delighted in this evening ritual! When we first arrived it took us a bit to understand the A/C, but they worked with us until it was satisfactory and never complained that we had to reach out several times to have them help us figure it out. We think this is a perfect spot for a family gathering and it was perfect for our needs in the midst of a pandemic!

Home away from home

The Best Holiday Stay

This home was exceptional. Everything was perfect for our family’s Christmas stay. The beds and linens were comfy and pretty. The furniture was stylish and comfortable. The kitchen was well- equipped. The patio and backyard were lovely and huge. Our hosts were very accommodating, quickly responding to our questions and needs. Altogether, we could not be more pleased.

We had booked this Property in Chula Vista for a Family in need of Temporary housing. The owners took great care of them while in a traumatic situation, and we are very grateful for their help. It was a beautiful space and they appreciated the property very much. Highly recommend staying here if you are in town!

Beautiful Large Home - Great for Families - Excellent Location

This home was excellent for us (4 adults; 4 children). We were looking for something for two couples and four kids. This was the perfect home as it has a room with two bunk bed sets (sleeps 4 children) in addition to the other two bedrooms for the adults. A HUGE draw for us was the fact that this house has MANY different "entertainment" areas -- the living room was relaxing and a great place for conversation; the dining room has a large table for everyone, the kitchen area was great for everyone to socialize while some of us prepared food in the kitchen, and the outside seating area has multiple areas for people to enjoy the beautiful weather and hold separate conversations without being so close as to interrupt each other. All the essentials were there -- large washer and dryer, dishwasher, two full bathrooms, loads of closet space, plenty of desk space to work on projects (should you need to work while visiting), etc. The location is close to restaurants, malls, the water, etc., while also being just a short drive to downtown or other attractions (such as Sea World)... but far enough away to not feel like you're living in a concrete jungle. The owners were very accommodating and responded quickly to any and all requests. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay and we would not hesitate to book this home again for our next visit. Highly recommended for those who want to relax and enjoy conversations at night in a safe, well maintained area of town.

Wonderful Home Away From Home

One of the Most Wonderful Places We've ever been. Super Clean! Every room was large -- lots of space for suitcases. Great storage space. All around Great! Well stocked. Kids loved the bunk beds, toys and the back yard. Ping Pong table was a Great Hit! Back yard has a grill and tables to seat 12! We all loved it! Beautiful location and wonderful owners

This house is exactly how pictured (beautiful and spacious). The upscale neighborhood is quiet so we could keep the windows open at night. We were traveling with two 3-year olds and they loved running around the backyard. The outdoor living space was relaxing and there is plenty of seating. The home is a mix of mid-century modern and mid-century character. We had all the amenities we could ask for. I did not realize what a gem we would find. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Jill and Victor.

Very nice home. Just as described in listing. Everything was provided for. Check in was easy. Patio area was great for evening meals and after dinner board games with the kids. No problems and would recommend this property to my friends.

Chula Vista Home

We had a great time. Stayed for three nights with our son, his wife and our two grandchildren. Went to the zoo and Sea World. This home was perfect for us. The kids had plenty of room to play. The house was clean and well kept. Jill was available to us if need be but we had no problems. Everything worked and was in perfect order. We hated for our mini vacation to end.

Great house, close to everything, and wonderful owners!

I recently rented this beautiful house for a few days’ stay while visiting my son who is stationed at Camp Pendleton. Not only did the house have plenty of space for us all to lounge around and also have meals together, but the owners were so kind and went above and beyond by leaving a roasting pan, turkey tray and carving utensils since it was Thanksgiving. I had prior to renting shared my desire to cook a big meal for the holiday to make it special for the much deserving Marines I was hosting. Jill even gave me recommendations on the best supermarkets for fresh veggies etc. That was super nice of them! The beds were comfortable and the large living room and outdoor patio allowed us all to hang out together and enjoy the few days of leave that they had. I wanted it to be special for them and it certainly was! The house was immaculate, which I appreciated (I’m a germaphobe and clean freak). The only thing that was a slight negative was that the windows are old and don’t all close completely so it was pretty cold in the morning, but honestly this Florida girl was the only one freezing (anything under 75 is cold for us). The windows are original and definitely add charm, and since it’s a totally safe area I would not even suggest they change them out. Overall I give this property 5 stars and would highly recommend it for any family that needs space for a larger family (there are 6 beds, and sleeping for 8). Annnnnd, the proximity to supermarkets, a mall, a cinema, many many restaurants and the freeway are super close and convenient. We will definitely consider renting again, if the owners will have us of course :) Thanks Jill & Victor

Property is well maintained

The house is very spacious we were 4 adults. My sister and her husband Live in San Diego we were visiting them. One of the evenings we spent time outside in the backyard sharing old memories it was very relaxing. Loved the contemporary decor of the home.

This home is well-regarded in the neighborhood. Homes here are very rarely for sale. We all love it here! The neighbors are friendly and caring. The wildlife (butterflies, birds, geckos) are gentle and thriving. The microclimate is the absolute BEST in the world. And you cannot beat the location!!
