Usted nunca olvidará las puestas de sol extraordinarias que usted experimentará de la cubierta o del gazebo delicioso. Esta casa tiene una nueva cocina a medida, espacioso concepto abierto salón / comedor y un montón de ventanas. Hay dos suites de un dormitorio principal con baños completos en dos plantas separadas, así como otras áreas de dormir adicionales y loft .. Hay vistas del agua desde casi todas las ventanas. Beautiful home with amazing ocean view. The house was cozy and well stocked for our week stay. The town is great and the house was close to stores and restaurants.

Like being on a boat

Lovely cottage overlooking Sunset Cove. The location is ideal for wondrful walks around Gloucester and a short distance to Annisquam over the footbridge. The open living-dining-kitchen area with windows across the back make you feel like your on a boat.The downside, is it's pretty close to the road so you can hear traffic on Washington Street at night. The 2 bedrooms are very different. One is on the upper floor with lots of light and the lower level is cool and darker. But both very spacious.All in all a great place to call home for your vacation.

Nice vacation home

Quiet, peaceful, clean vacation home with nice views of the river. A little further out from beaches and restaurants. There are room air conditioners, but the whole house is not fully air-conditioned. We were there on an especially hot week in July so it was a bit uncomfortable. The house has almost everything you need, but for a family of four for a week, property managers could do a better job and making sure we had enough toilet paper, garbage bags, soap. We had to purchase things I didn’t expect to.

Gorgeous sunsets and peaceful cove

We very much enjoyed our stay at Sunset Cove. The cove is beautiful and peaceful. The gazebo is very quaint. The home is very comfy and immaculately clean. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, bakeware, utensils. There is a nice selection of books and some puzzles. The layout of the home is very nice for families/couples, allowing privacy with bedrooms and bathrooms. The two main bathrooms were very nice, with large showers. The upper floor bathroom had a soaking tub. There were plenty of towels. There were soap/shampoo/conditioner products but I was unfamiliar with the brand. There was even fragrance free laundry pods and dishwasher pods. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Thanksgiving 2021

This property was great! Beautiful location, appropriate amenities. Recommended adding additional towel rods for downstairs bathroom to accommodate two adults. Was able to cook decent meals with kitchen supplies available. Would love to come back in the spring or summer to really experience the outdoor space! Thanks for a great stay :)

Amazing view - Mediocre amenities

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I own a business in MA and had been looking forward to this vacation for months. We got to the house and spent 10 minutes trying to get in. The lockbox wasn’t working, but finally we got in. Initial impression was a gorgeous home with an amazing view. As we settled in, we noticed there were thermostats on the walls, but none of them work. The heat is steam, and is controlled by a dial. No instructions, so 2 of our party froze the first night. The beds were comfortable. Our shower head was loose so water sprayed all up the wall and we had to fix that. The second da our internet went out because the owners didn’t pay their bill (the TV actually have a message stating bill was not paid), so my wife and I couldn’t connect to work (we stated this was important prior to ever coming there). At 3.5k for a week, it **** sure isn’t because they can’t afford it. The coffee pot was 100 years old and took 30 minutes to brew coffee (again, for the price, pretty ridiculous). To AVH’s credit, we called them and the internet was fixed that day and they brought us a new coffee pot. There were several other things (neighbors running power tools early in the morning, etc.) but it was a decent stay, overall. I would not get this house again, but I will be using AVH again. Great company.

Great view, some shortcomings with house however

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While the view lived up to my expectations, the house was lacking in a few areas. The weather forecast was calling for high humidity, and temps in the 90's. I was thankful that the rental had air conditioning. I was very disappointed that the "air conditioning" consisted of two units on wheels, which vented air through a hose to the outside, one on the main floor, and one on the upper floor. I had read another review where the renter also complained about a faulty A/C unit, and thought that it would have been addressed. The garden level bedroom did not have air conditioning, which made for uncomfortable sleeping. The units failed to keep the house at a comfortable level. On top of that there is an ant problem with this unit. Dozens of large black ants appeared during the course of the week, more of a nuisance than anything else, which meant that food could not be left on counters. The unit itself is in need of maintenance, peeling railing paint on the deck, a floor to ceiling window in the garden level bedroom was shattered, covered with plexiglass, which was unsightly.

There is no door to upstairs bedroom; our son had to sleep in living room--where the door locks don't work; and we were in basement, with not enough pillows and the screen doors do not lock properly. On the other hand, the back yard area is fabulous; the views are breathtaking; the kitchen is adequate; it's an absolutely gorgeous spot.

We didn’t mind that it was on a main road because you spent most of your time in the back of the house/property! Great location, large 2 bedroom

Fully equipped well stocked kitchen. Negatives were odor when we arrived that lasted until midweek. Should have been aired out prior to arrival. Door lock broken on back deck. Kitchen cluttered with owners stuff. We were supposed to put trash in purples bags but none provided. Almost no tv stations, not even NESN. No ac downstairs so had to leave slide door open all night so no security. I wouldn't even mention most of these things but owner is asking for a hefty price so I feel I have a right to ask for better service in some respects. In spite of these issues,I would probably stay again.

Well taken care of home but noisy location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at Sunset Cove. The house was conveniently located close to Rockport and Gloucester as well as several beaches. The house was clean, modern and included a plentiful supply of kitchen items including plates, utensils and drink ware. Our access to the water was great as we could walk from the deck right into the water. The outdoor space was great but a table umbrella would have been a welcome addition due to the afternoon sun over the river. There is room for some improvement though. The “air conditioning” left something to be desired as there was one window unit on the main floor that didn’t cool the house well. Upstairs, the bedroom window unit sufficiently cooled the room but was extremely loud making sleeping a little difficult. When it was cool enough to open the windows, we couldn’t get the house to cool down since we couldn’t open all kitchen or upstairs windows to get a cross breeze (either no screens and/or windows wouldn’t open at all ). Overall we liked this house and would rent again but it could be made better with a few changes to ventilation and windows.

very disappointing

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property at 660 Washington street - sunset cove/sunset crest Initial experience looked great. You walk into the house and see beautiful views of the river and the house was nice and open. On the second day When my children arrived, our daughter stated there were ants on the counter by the baby food. The next day I spotted a bug on the counter and discovered it was a German roach. That day we killed roaches on the kitchen counter, on the wall behind the dining room table, a roach on the wall going downstairs, on the couch and downstairs in the laundry room. We notified the company that the house was infested with German roaches. The lady from Atlantic vacation homes stated they were not German roaches but maybe another buy that comes out when it's damp, but they would send an exterminator. Orkin came two days later and confirmed our worst fears. They were active German cockroaches. He was asked by AVR to contact the owner, which he did. The Orkin man was telling her that he sees live roaches throughout the house and the owner was stating that it wasn't possible. He told her ,Lady this house has roaches. There was no further follow up or contact by either the owner or Atlantic vacation homes on this issue. And beleieve me it was a real issue, every time you open a draw or cabinet you brace yourself. Also one air conditioner on the third floor is not an air conditioned property. Totally mislead and disgusted with the conditions. We had no choice but to finish our vacation in that home because it was paid for in advance. The biggest disappointment was no follow up from anyone and the denials. The took our money and ran. E
