Evensong: Oceanview Retreat with Dock

Unobstructed Water Views of The Annisquam in this newly-renovated "walls of glass" home boasting panoramic views of The Mill River, Jones Creek, Wingaersheek Beach & beyond to the mountains of Maine. Deeded Water access available for enthusiastic kayakers or paddle boarders (please feel free to bring them with you). Enjoy our new dock (which is removed between November-April), shared with our neighbors below us. With a click of the remote cozy up to the gas fireplace & watch egrets, blue heron & cormorants as they glide over the water's surface all from the comfort of your home. Bask in the beauty of spectacular sunsets. Every day is a nature show!

You won't miss a beat in this 1,600 square foot home with an open concept floor plan lending itself to views no matter where you are, even while preparing dinner in the Chef's kitchen featuring a Viking Stove, granite counters, back lit cabinetry & snack bar. Large composite deck with cable rail off the master bedroom overlooking the expanse of water. Young children would require supervision on the roofdeck. Our home features an outdoor grill, 3 bedrooms and 3 baths and sleeps 6-8. New washing machine and dryer on the first floor. It's a quick trip to the beach by paddleboard or kayak or a short drive to several local beaches, Halibut Point, more restaurants, museums, hiking, and quarries. Owners live locally and have a basement apartment (with separate entrance) at the property and will be available for questions/special requests. This is a perfect home for a friends or family retreat. Please no loud parties, as we live in a residential neighborhood.

Off Season: 3-4 night minimum rental.
Summer Season: Friday-Friday rental (7 night minimum)

Smoke and pet-free. Parking for two cars.

Boat docking (dock is tidal): $150/week payable through Venmo
EV charging: $50/week payable through Venmo

We had a wonderful stay over the holidays with my family of five. Katie was very welcoming and communicative from the start. The house was fully stocked with dishes, linens, coffee, spices and all the basics for cooking. She even left eggs and half and half so that we would have something for our first morning. The views were breathtaking, the fire was cozy on the many cold evenings, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were well designed with excellent water pressure. Katie communicated quickly throughout our stay. I highly recommend this spot!

The property was beautiful and just as cozy as the pictures. Katie, the host, was very responsive and accommodating. The rooms were very comfortable and the living room area was cozy! Great vacation spot with beautiful views!

We had a fantastic four over nights. Everything we needed was there. The view was spectacular. It was a great location for visiting Boston. Salem and Newburyport. Katie is a wonderful hostess, from the time I booked until we left she would get right back to me with my many questions.

FABULOUS location to relax. I could have spent the entire time on the upstairs deck watching the tide come in and out. None of us wanted to leave!Owner very responsive with questions and suggestions for things to do/see and places to eat. While there we explored Cape Ann easily, traveled to Beverly, Salem, and Ipswich to explore. Locating the house using Google Maps is confusing because it sits behind another house. Google gets it right, but it looks like your driving into driveway to another house.

The on-line listing of for Evensong, including photos, was very helpful and accurate. The view of the water from inside the house was beautiful, and ever-changing.All in all, we had a great stay.

A great home with amazing water views.

Our family of 8 ages 16 - 78 really enjoyed this house. The area around it has many interesting places to explore. We went to half moon beach and the park. We shopped in nearby Rockport. Our host Katie let us borrow her paddle boards and the kids (young and old) had so much fun! Took scenic rides and watched sunsets over the bay on the upstairs deck. Home is well stocked and Katie is a wonderful host. Extremely responsive.

Holiday weekend

Wonderful stay during Easter weekend , beautiful views along with some thoughtful items left in the refrigerator for us to enjoy when we arrived. The home was clean and welcoming with pretty much all you would need. The beds were very comfortable and had plenty of pillows and blankets. The bathrooms all had hand soap ,body soap and toilet paper. The kitchen was well stocked and had plenty of options to make espresso , coffee and tea. The fireplace gave off nice heat on the cooler nights. The home is on a dead end street. Parking was little tricky but we managed. This is a wonderful home and location.

60th Birthday Celebration

Property was exactly what we expected due to the great pictures posted! Great location, amazing view and would definitely stay again! There were 6 of us, 2 couples and my 2 adult daughters. We each had our own bathrooms, the kitchen was stocked with all the tools and equipment needed to cook but mostly we ate out. We had a blast!

Heaven on earth

We just spent two glorious months at Evensong and don’t know where to begin with our accolades. We LOVE it here and can’t wait to return!!!! The location is convenient to everything, the views are spectacular and the house has every amenity you could desire. Katie is the most responsive landlord EVER and is such a gracious host. From pizza recommendations to quick fixes at the house, she is on top of all of it. We love it here in the winter and hope to experience the magic in summer, too!

Easily the best VRBO we have stayed in

The property is absolutely stunning and Katie is a phenomenal host. The accommodations are absolutely fantastic. The bedrooms are very large and comfortable. The kitchen was a dream to cook in, with all of the critical cookware and more. Katie even stocks the fridge with a few essentials and some local beer. She is very welcoming and helpful. But best of all is the view and the sunsets from the fantastic living room and the top deck. Everything was absolutely perfect 10/10!

Pre-Holiday Couples Getaway

We absolutely loved this property! All of the comforts of home and even some extra touches that made it even more special like binoculars for bird watching and some local beer. Beds were comfortable, plenty of blankets and a very cozy fireplace. I would not hesitate to stay again, stop scrolling if you’re looking to stay in the area!

Beautiful home with a gorgeous view

Four of us stayed, we all took part in a 3-day Zoom conference happening on the West coast. First, and importantly, there were no issues with WiFi or connectivity, which was great. The home itself was spotless and modern, with a beautiful view of the water. It’s a small neighborhood, and the houses are close together, but we never felt as if we had no privacy. The kitchen had everything we could dream of needing/using. A comfortable living room with lots of room to hang out, great gas fireplace that took the chill out of the cool mornings, the beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms (3) had everything we needed. I was in touch with the host a couple of times over the weekend and she always responded immediately. Highly recommend this home.

Beautiful Autumnal Views

The property was better than the pictures online! Booked our stay after we attended a family wedding in the Beverly, MA location. Katie (the host) communicated with us and the check in / check out process was smooth. The views from this property are breathtaking. The house is absolutely gorgeous and it had basically anything you would need for the stay (kitchenware to cook, coffee, codes for entertainment on the fire TV). The location couldn’t have been better either as I planned to take my family to some local farms and Salem for the day. The Hammond Castle Museum is also a short drive away. I wish I could upload pictures from the views from the property but I don’t think pictures would do it justice. It was a relaxing, quintessential New England stay and I would recommend this property to anyone! Katie was great!

Evensong…A True Gem!!!

What can be said about glorious Evensong that hasn’t been said already? First and most important, Katie is excellent and in my opinion sets the bar for hosts! My family and I have been lucky enough to travel throughout Europe, the Pacific, and the US…and Evensong will easily be remembered as one of the very best. Do yourself a favor and visit Evensong, it's everything you're looking for!

New England excellence

Picture perfect house with a picture perfect view. Beds and pillows were so comfy!! Loved this area of Massachusetts. The local area had great restaurants and lovely little shops. Katie is a dream host and was so very helpful with any questions!! Thanks for having us.

Evensong in Gloucester

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in the area! Katie left a detailed book for us to see local sights and more. Gorgeous house with everything you would need to rest and relax - and the views are spot on! What you see in the pictures are what you see from the house! Thank you for such a great place to stay!!
