Thank you for reviewing our home, we do appreciate all feedback. I believe the photographs on the website give a very fair indication of the type of furniture, decoration and amenities our home has to offer. In fact in some areas updates have been carried out that are not shown, eg, new quartz worktop and sink in kitchen, updated shower and sinks in en-suite bathroom to name a couple. The mattresses are memory foam and there are at least two pillows per guest on each bed with plenty of spares in wardrobes if you had wanted additional. The air con is normally set at a comfortable 75 degrees but it can be lowered to 70 degrees, which you are correct it is the lowest it will go but I don't think it could be considered 'hot'. You booked for two nights and from your comments about shower gel and shampoo I think you may have been better to consider a hotel as ours is a self catering home. We give guests a start with hand soap, dish soap and dishwasher tablets as well as toilet and kitchen roll and bin bags but most guests understand that when self catering, these will need to be replenished by themselves. Lastly, regarding your comments about the neighbourhood, it is made up of mainly residential homes, Floridians who live and work in the area, it's not a resort, it's not gated. We spend most of the winter in Florida and have never had cause to worry about safety. - Sally

Thank you for your review, all feedback is appreciated. First I would like to address your comment about scheduled times when guests are able to use the spa as this is not the case, hence no mention of this on the website or information provided. It is my understanding there was not a problem with the pool heating but problems occurred when using the spa, as this was not always reaching the required temperature. The pool maintenance person and management company did try to rectify the heating of the spa a number of times but it was intermittent, with it working at times only to stop in the future. Some of your comments did prompt me to look back at correspondence we shared, I don't believe at any time I was uncaring, and the team looking after the villa tried their best during your stay to get things right for you. As things weren't 100% with the spa, when you requested compensation at the end of your stay, I had no hesitation in giving you a 50% refund on the payment you made for pool/spa heat, which I believe was fair as you were never without pool heat, and actioned this the same day. In regard to the dust on the vents, the first time you made me aware was after you left, I am sure if you had mentioned this during any number of the conversations you had with Ian from the management company, he would have been more than happy to sort there and then. Finally, addressing your last comments, I would say our home is a self catering property, we do provide guest with toilet roll in each of the bathrooms and a kitchen roll in the kitchen and we do normally leave at least one pod for laundry, as well as dish soap and hand soap. If there is not sufficient to last the entirety of your stay then guests would be expected to purchase their own.
