Amazing spot in Florence

We came to visit my daughter who is studying abroad and this apartment was the perfect location. Only a few blocks from everything in Florence. We had plenty of space for 4 adults. Beautiful views. It’s on the 3rd floor which is about 60 steps but the elevator was working which was a blessing for my elderly parents. We walked everywhere ! Can’t wait to come back again.

Well located

Very well located, many restaurants, coffees and groceries, the host is great to communicate and respond. On the down side, the cleanest is not the best and the cleaning fee was the most expensive of all my locations during my Italy tour. Toilette paper was missing no Kleenex as well, a lot of dust.

Sadly Disappointed

We did a self check in as we were told by message. We immediately could tell that the apartment had been set for a photo shoot. Many things went wrong and we're wrong with the property. He did respond to texts, but we never spoke to hi or saw him. This was unlike any VRBO property I have ever stayed in . I would not recommend this to anyone. And would never stay here sgain

Not happy

The property was fine. I am very upset about the cleaning charge when there was really nothing to clean, I did not agree to it, and it was still put through on my Visa card. I will be fighting this charge.

I charged the final cleaning fee. Yes. That's why your review is 1 star?? Are you serious?? All the reservations are composed by: rental, final cleaning fee and city tax. You will fight the final cleaning fee charge? Please tell me why- I'm really upset by your behaviour

Great apartment great location.

Check in was difficult, contact information should be provided the day before check in. Contact and access information was provided the day of- we could not retrieve email and went to the apartment expecting someone to meet us. No luck, went to a cafe to check e-mail, nothing, raining, tired, we checked into a nearby B and B. Later that evening, the information was received. The apartment was exactly as presented. My friend and I rearranged the furniture so the dining table looked out over the lovely view. We bought a plant and decorative cushion for the sofa, making it so homey. Beds were comfortable, a little hic cup with the shower was efficiently resolved the next morning. I’d rent the property again.

Terrific location

The apartment was charming, and the location fantastic. There are restaurants and places to hang all over the neighborhood. Our check in notice had the wrong address (26 instead of 24) and the owner was incredibly helpful immediately. Also there was a small electrical problem - missing adapter for the AC - and she came over right away to deal with it. As other guests pointed out, the elevator wasn't working and it is on the 3rd floor (4th for the American vistors). But it's like walking out the B'way Lafayette subway station in NYC, so just take it slow and think about how it helps you work off the pasta. The light upstairs, and the view of the backyard are worth it. This kitchen could be a little more clearly organized and instructions about how to turn on the gas for the stove , and the washer (which I forgot to ask about) would be helpful. The fridge is not very happy, but we didn't end up cooking. Very helpful map in the apt. Beds comfortable and would come back. Thank you!!

Great location, but we had some issues

The location was perfect for what we wanted. Central enough to walk everywhere, but a bit of a quieter area. The apartment itself was nice and the bedrooms were spacious. However, we had issues with both the air con unit and the freezer, neither of which worked. The owners came during the day twice to try and sort the air con and by our last day it was sort of working, but still not ideal. And in the bedrooms it's only fans, no air con. The freezer never worked, but we didn't bother to ask them to fix this as we didn't need it, but we mentioned it on leaving. The other thing to note is that it is up 3 flights of stairs and although there's a lift it's absolutely tiny and not designed for anything more than a person at a time. We found communication a little complicated too. I had 3 different people contact me at different times and they gave different instructions about city taxes which was confusing. There were no instructions given on how to leave the property and what to do with the key, so we just made our best guess about that. I wouldn't use this accommodation again I don't think.

Listing obfuscation and managerial negligence

Foremost are the 63 steep steps that must be climbed to reach the apartment. It makes the property inaccessible to a great many would-be renters. The building's weary, teeny elevator is byzantine, and truly scary in terms of its operational requirements sense of security and the manager's colleague said that he wouldn't use it. Unlike the many other VRBO property I've used, this one had no list of instructions and recommendations, leaving the user to try to figure out how and when garbage was disposed of (nor were bags provided beyond those in the cans despite a request for some) or how the washing machine worked. A promise to replace a critical bedroom bulb was not fulfilled. The shower might be difficult to navigate for anyone of some size or rotundity. In my opinion, very unprofessionally managed. Location good and size of apt. good.
